I wonder if he can imagine how many kids out there he taught how to play guitar & how many joy and happiness he brought into this world.
Marty, if there's any chance you're reading, I'd like to thank you for being my personal long distance teacher for so many years. You're the coolest out here on UA-cam.

*Lyrics for wonder wall by oasis*
Somebody once told me the world is gonna roll me
I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed
She was looking kind of dumb with her finger and her thumb
In the shape of an "L" on her forehead
Well the years start coming and they don't stop coming
Fed to the rules and I hit the ground running
Didn't make sense not to live for fun
Your brain gets smart but your head gets dumb
So much to do, so much to see
So what's wrong with taking the back streets?
You'll never know if you don't go
You'll never shine if you don't glow
Hey now, you're an all-star, get your game on, go play
Hey now, you're a rock star, get the show on, get paid
And all that glitters is gold
Only shooting stars break the mold
It's a cool place and they say it gets colder

Judging by the hole in the satellite picture
The ice we skate is getting pretty thin
The water's getting warm so you might as well swim
My world's on fire, how about yours?
That's the way I like it and I'll never get bored
Hey now, you're an all-star, get your game on, go play
Hey now, you're a rock star, get the show on, get paid

As long as you're better this week compared to last week, you're going in the right direction. Learn the basic cowboy chords first. practice a little fingerstyle. My guitar stayed in my closet for 20 yrs until I said,I'm gonna learn how to play that thing if it kills me. Thank god for YT.look for good teachers. They explain if so you can understand it,like Marty. The first 10 hours of anything is difficult, hard etc. You'll get there if you persist. Clapton was a beginner once.

I heard this song on the radio and thought, there aren’t tons of changes, maybe I will check it out. I’m hoping I don’t get in trouble from my teacher lol, but Marty, u seem to know what you’re doing, so I’m gonna trust you! I’m a keyboardist but I’ve got lot from your lesson. Your a really good teacher. This song isn’t that complicated is it, but the whole is more than the sum of the parts. The vocal intonation is strangely tricky too. Like Snow Patrol’s songs, they’re unique to these guys and cleverer than they first appear. I’m actually a jazz sax player, and most jazzers may look down on this stuff, but I find these a challenge. Many thanks.
