I watch 85% long videos. And mostly analysis things like EFAP and similar humourous or informative review or discussion videos.
I find the concise way you fast forward and put on some chill tunes and come back for the analysis, combined with the long form video was really great.
And I like that I'm starting to notice your opponents failures, before you even mention them. Thank for the delightfully long video.
My first takeaway when learning Go 35 years ago was Don’t be Greedy. It still applies and will always apply.
Thanks for the video!
Actually I mostly watch "long" videos (30+ min.), and YT tend to suggest such videos to me. So it seems the algorithm take several parameters in account. But... it's just a hunch.
with that much engagement the a..rithm should recommend this video to everyone and their mum 😂
leaving a comment for the youtube overlords, OMG SO MUCH ENGAGEMENT!
Hey, look at that, here's some more engaged engagement. Not bad.
Oh my God L12 - I had to look twice to make sure this person was 5kyu! That is a 20kyu mistake
Just starting out playing and learning the early lessons - don't be greedy, make good shape, start a fight only where you are strong. Thanks for these videos1
Comments for the algorithmic gods. Good games, good lessons.
here engaging, tricking the algorithm. This was a good game for me due to the invasion of the second game.
I like these 2 game videos.
hi youtube, i'm consuming. much engagement, all the capitalism.
I'm so engaged right now
E17 in the first video isn't a some kind of "I win" move. It still leads to an even result
Yes but it's complicated and players at this level usually don't know the joseki and if you don't know the joseki you can just lose because of that
So why don't you just split longer videos up into 2 or more? In that way, the impatient viewers are pleased, the rating engine is pleased, etc :)

Chill Friday watching Dwyrin in a very engaging way 👀
Most probably it's about your channel and how algorithm works specifically for you. UA-cam would have died if it had only pushed videos under 20 minutes long.
Also for such kinds of video, I don't quite see who they can be recommended to. It's quite specific so..
nah, not just for me. spiffing brit did a fantastic video last year on how to kill a youtube video. its no longer simply more views get more views. its now all about engagement and view duration. these are the metrics that determine if a video succeeds or fails on the entire platform.
I think considering your audience and topic, you should stop looking at youtube statistics. For your own peace of mind. And to be able to create the best content you can.
People will watch your videos, depending on their current interest in go, not depending on youtube recommendations.
Watching ads because you are awesome…commenting before ads are done
Love your longer videos. As a teacher love your 5kyu videos. As a dan player…appreciate the reminders. Am literally at a LARP camp for solstice watching while everyone is asleep to do what I can to support your work.
