This was super helpful! And I used Sensei's Library along side it to look up concepts like False eye, Hane, Tesuji, etc. I can highly recommend Sensei's Library!

I looked at the last problem and it seems that white is faster at capturing the 3 black stones than black at capturing the white group. White has to play A2 as his second move.
@ 4:40 "Papa Stone" is how i took it for a moment, lol
after searching to buy go stones ,all I think about white stones:

Hey Insente. Black should play at B2 first to unconditionally kill white shape. Black playing at B1 let’s white force a Ko in the corner. Love your videos!
It feels like there is a missing episode between E4 and this E5. You start talking about eyes, false eyes, popping out eyes, as if you had already introduced them in previous episode but I can't find it :-( is there a video where you explain these concepts? Thanks a lot!

wow that's great! Glad you found it helpful!! I have videos on all parts of the game, so I would recommend moving on to 19x19! Then, you can figure out what parts of the game you have the most trouble with and find the optimum video to help you out!

Nice explanation.. I do wonder why @16:23 (B) is a 'false' eye and why J8 is no 'real' eye? I can see C or J8 and B survive making it a living group.. It would be blacks turn taking J8 or J9, white takes J9 or J8, black takes H7, so I can see J8 or J9 and B are two eyes for making it a living group for white - because both positions would be suicide for black.. Can someone explain me what I am missing or that I am right..

4:24 - why does white capture? Wouldnt it be suicide? This is the hardest part of the game for me, no one mentions it. it seems subjective. Or like there is a rule that no one talks about.
It is talked sbout in his first lesson on basic rules. Whereas this video is his 5th lesson, of course he's not going to repeat basic rules already covered 4 lessons ago.

To put it simply, there's only one thing u need to remember: a capturing move is never suicidal.
Here's the rationale: when you play a move that captures your opponent's stones, those stones are removed from the board. This means that the capturing stone that you have just played will always have liberties, at least on the intersections where your opponent's captured stones originally were.
Therefore, a capturing move is never suicidal.
So I've got to practice death to get good at it, huh?

It turns out that I had already installed that on my Kindle Fire when I was looking for just about ANYTHING to help me with go strategy and tactics. I wish they had some explanations for why the best move is the best, though. It shows me the right answer, but some help with what I should have been looking for would be nice. That's what I like about the puzzles on OGS.
At 9:43 can't white place it's stone at the lower left corner and capture the two black stones above it ?
It's still only one eye
Play it out further...black stones on a2 and b2 disappear... black places a stone on either a2 or b2... while takes the other spot, killing it and leaving only one of those spots open... black can now surround the outside and then pop a stone in that one empty space, killing the whole group
