Urgent before big indeed. Don't be afraid to make exchanges too, your opponent is allowed to have part of the board.
It's so ironic to say it to this video where opponent tried to greedily grab everything with his weak groups. And dwyrin himself said that he's a bit behind because of not killing groups that totally deserve it.
What usually happens if you exchange in nice and roughly equal way at low level is that the opponent will still invade your area because they don't like equality and want a clear win.
So technically opponent is not necessarily allowed to have part of the board because they will invade no matter what and without proper skill it will work.

Wasn't expecting the Stormwind music but glad to hear it.
I am 5k on OGS and I find that this video reflects reality well... At our level the players are jealous of the smallest piece of territory that you create, I try to contain this "Jealousy" to progress and sometimes I manages to beat 3k just by holding back... I think it's a difficult part to work on to reach dan.

@dwyrin, what i am going to mention is not an insult. It appears to me that you mostly play black or white the same way but i wonder why you never mention the different roles that the colors have. Like black should try and build and white should try stop black doing that. So for white it would be absolutely make sence to play on the inside as you did here at O3 but black normally shouldn't. Would be interested on your thoughts about that.
Does this really matter on basic/kyu level? Even 1 dan games are full of mistakes that are worth more than the komi.
@@Turtle1631991 it is a question and a thing i have just mentioned. I think it could be a good grasp for the game as there is a difference if you are black or white in this game.
I myself did the mistake that i tried to play a framework as white playing the so called loosing move in the attempt to play the orthodox opening.
Also for black and white you have different missions. Like Black needs to get points in the beginning to make up the komi and white is kind of harassment against black. To stop black from building and so on. In short i just wanted the thoughts about that from dwyrin. It might not be necessary but it is interesting.
@@ChildOfDarkness85 if I had to assume its bc teaching that would do more harm than good as your opponent may do something completely else than what you described and having a mindset in such a way would only be a hindrance to finding good moves.
