Thanks for your reviews with both the pros and cons of using. I purchased the Piscifun Speed X and I think they must have heard your cry for improvements. The X version has a telescopic handle to give you more support with the larger reels. They also included an Unwind tool if you ever need to unwind your line. Nice feature! Just received it today and I think it works very well, especially after watching your video. I appreciate the time and effect you invest in your videos to help others like me. Fish on, 1Cast 1Fish!
Glad you enjoy it...I did see the X version and the ability to strip line back off is nice especially if you switch between braid and mono like I do alot. Good luck
I also use that very line spooler, probably for more that a year, and haven't had any issues with it. When I spool a spinning reel, if I notice a difference in the speed of the reel and the spool, I just adjust the bearing tension until the speeds match. A valuable tool the times I've had to respool while on a fishing trip.
Mine is still going strong, however I do have a bit of wear at this point on the parts that hold the spools, but it has done so many reels at this point that is expected...I have been very pleased with it and will get another when mine is wore out
Nice explanation. I own one and wish the jaws were wider to accommodate the larger bulk spools. Company should offer a larger version for us serious fisherman who buy bulk line. Mine works fine but if you don't get the spin rate just right, you still get some line twist. Thanks!
Yeah I would love a larger option for bulk spools...and have to agree you gotta get the spin right. I will say though I have been very happy with it as opposed to my old methods that almost always gave me line twist issues.
Honestly I have never put much merit in these types of companies, but this spooler has impressed me. I will eventually give some of their other products a try based off my experience with this.
I used this device to spool my Avet MXL with 500 yards of Hercules 0.37mm 50 lb. braid this afternoon. I had some doubts about it being able to create enough tension for the line to pack on to the spool tightly enough. However, it worked fine.
My suggestion is that you contact Piscifun Line-Winder Co. and have them make a "Spacer" that fits between the top section and connects to the bottom reel-butt section. It would be an easy extension-adaptor to have them make. Otherwise, maybe a small diameter 6-7inch PVC section with a wooden plug on the bottom section will work as well. BTW, I have no complaints with this Piscifun Line-Winder, and once you get used to setting it up, its a breeze to use. Thanks for the fine tutorial, this product is great!
I can't see how it would keep a good tension on the spool with just the 2 spring loaded plastic arms, as you mentioned it's not designed for larger reels. I put my braid on using a fair bit of tension
I'm not influenced by too many reviews, but this one has be going to buy the darn thing. I've used other types in the past and they ultimately break in short order.
Great review,I wrote a reply about using PVC but looking at the comments I was beaten to it by other informative guys on here.Nice work bro, have subbed, look forward to checking out more of your vids. All the best.
Man that is a great tool, cabelas and bass pro has attempted to put line on my reel and the result has been a ton of birds nest. I need to pick up one of these. Great review and good information bud.
Wow, this item made spooling a reel so much easier! I usually poke a hole in the middle of the line casing and pin it against something haha. Definitely worth an investment. Thanks man, great explanation on this product! Cheers!
This things main advantage is the spinning rotor and reducing line twist on spinning reels...I use it for all my reels now and it has been working great.
Assuming your talking about a spinning reel...start off slow and ensure the rotor with your spool is going the same speed as your reel. Sometimes they get out of time and line twist will still occur.
Hi I recently saw you on an ad for a reel spooler, I regretted not clicking on and cannot find that anywhere. The spooler was advertised for 33$ could you please tell me which one that was?
That ad you saw is from a company that I do not support...they are using content without permission...buy at your own risk from them. However I do use the Piscifun line Spooler and still love it...link is in the video description.
Just got one, didn't realize it needed to be same speed makes sense, but I still got the the whole thing off, noticed I was melting through the spool plastic lol
I like to keep it pretty tight when doing braid. If you tighten it to far it will come to a grinding halt and bee tough to reel...so I go to that point then back off a tad to where it is tight but smooth.
@@1Cast1Fish Thank you! I've been using the Piscifun for mono for over a year now but have never used it for braid. Just bought a Daiwa BG 4000 and will be loading it up this weekend.
Yep...it is actually a very good product IMO...it shows a bit of wear now, but I have done a ton of relines (over 100) at this point, so very acceptable. I plan on doing a final video this spring when I reline my reels...kind of like a final follow up maybe.
Should work well for you. I think they have a new one out that you can reel line back onto spools with too. Might be a good choice if switching between braid and mono often... that way you can reuse the braid.
Hey buddy great information might invest into one myself. LOL looks like it could be an ice fishing downrigger apparatus. I don't know how that would work together but there might be something there. LOL thanks man

It has definitely came in handy and made things a lot easier...especially with the spinning reels
I HAVE HAD MINE FOR 2 YEARS. I LOVE IT
Mine is still going strong, however I do have a bit of wear at this point on the parts that hold the spools, but it has done so many reels at this point that is expected...I have been very pleased with it and will get another when mine is wore out
That's a great update! You're right about line twist when you don't use something like this! I'm glad it's been holding up well with heavy use!
Me to...I had my doubts since they are a "cheaper product" company and the reels have very mixed reviews.
Nice explanation. I own one and wish the jaws were wider to accommodate the larger bulk spools. Company should offer a larger version for us serious fisherman who buy bulk line. Mine works fine but if you don't get the spin rate just right, you still get some line twist. Thanks!

It has served me well for a long while...honestly, I was skeptical at first, but it really has surprised me for many years.

Good ideas, and I am very pleased with it as well...I have been tempted to try some of their reels, but have not went down that road as of yet
I can't see how it would keep a good tension on the spool with just the 2 spring loaded plastic arms, as you mentioned it's not designed for larger reels. I put my braid on using a fair bit of tension
You can tighten it down pretty tight...it has gotten my braid tight enough to not have issues.
Awesome update buddy! I remember your first review on it! Thanks for sharing brother!
I am pretty happy with it overall...I still wouldn't buy one of their reels...lol.....but this thing is pretty legit
I'm not influenced by too many reviews, but this one has be going to buy the darn thing. I've used other types in the past and they ultimately break in short order.
Yeah I don't trust their reels or anything, but this thing has held up and worked pretty darn good for me.
That thing is really cool, that sure does make spooling a real easy.
It has made things much easier for me...especially the spinning reels

Thank you very much
Sorry I have been gone. Back and here to support you again. Great video my friend
Thank you very much
Great review, nice to have follow up on a product! 1 question tho, did you get paid everytime you said piscifun? Haha
LOL...I wish :)
Man that is a great tool, cabelas and bass pro has attempted to put line on my reel and the result has been a ton of birds nest. I need to pick up one of these. Great review and good information bud.
They always screwed it up for me too....that's why I never take mine there to get line put on anymore....lol
That rig is pretty cool! How bad will line twist with mono?
That's one of the best things about this thing...it has basically eliminated line twist for me on my spinning reels....which is why I like it so far.
Just got the line spoiler. Will try it soon. Like your demo.Dec 5 filled 1-bait cast and 1spin cast, easy to work . believer.
Thanks glad you liked the video...still happy with my spooler and going strong without issue
GOOD PRODUCT. Will keep using it, give another reply later!
That thing is genius! Great 6 month update.

Thank buddy
Glad that it is working well nothing worse then ones that tangle up or do spools too loose etc you know what l mean, looks nice and smooth.
Yeah this one has been pretty good so far, so no real big complaints...a few small issues, but overall a winner so far.
One thing that confuses me is this… should you set up the line spool with line coming off the TOP or BOTTOM of the line spool?
Either is fine with baitcasters IMO, with spinning reels though I like the line coming off the spool at the same level as the bail roller if possible.
I've been looking for a line spoiler. Thanks for the video.
You are very welcome...this one does a pretty good job, I am happy with it so far
Great follow up. Bought one at the beginning of the season!
How's it holding up for you and are you liking it so far?
@@1Cast1Fish great and I agree it helps with line twist.
Great video as always!Nice reels and spooling tool!Good products and review
Thank You...it has definitely made the job of spooling a lot of reels much easier
I have a similar one and really enjoy using it for my bass fishing reels works good
It has worked very well so far for me...plus everyone else that has tried it.
looks like a great tool for spooling line would love to try one out!
They are pretty cheap, so worth the investment IMO if you do a lot of reels like me.
Now that’s what I need to invest in, I like that brother! Thanks for sharing I’m definitely going to check it out!
Thing is one of the best items I have sen for spooling up reels...I love mine
I think I needed to adjust mine a little better, got a lot of line twist first time using it.

You should love it, I like mine still and it’s still going strong
Just got one, didn't realize it needed to be same speed makes sense, but I still got the the whole thing off, noticed I was melting through the spool plastic lol
Glad you got it figured out :)
How much tension do you apply when spooling braid on the Piscifun?
I like to keep it pretty tight when doing braid. If you tighten it to far it will come to a grinding halt and bee tough to reel...so I go to that point then back off a tad to where it is tight but smooth.
@@1Cast1Fish Thank you! I've been using the Piscifun for mono for over a year now but have never used it for braid. Just bought a Daiwa BG 4000 and will be loading it up this weekend.
@@retiredguyadventures6211 nice reel
@@1Cast1Fish Yea, I'm breaking it in at Sebastian Inlet next week...
Good luck, hope you catch em
That thing looks pretty awesome!!
It's pretty neat how it works, and its done a great job and held up well so far.
What about bulk spools? I usually buy 1000 meter or 2000 meter braided line.
Unfortunately ....they do not work
I use mono. On spinning reels will it cure the line twist
Good suggestion, but many times I use fluro for finesse work
Nice review, looks like it will serve you well! 🎣👍😎 ~Maverick
It definitely has got some use on it and has made things much easier for me.
Lol thats strange looking, but neat at the same time. Great video👍👍
Yeah its a bit of a contraption, but it does its job pretty well
How large of a spool will this handle? I buy my Sufix 832 on 1200 yard spools for my salt reels.
In general the 1000+ yard spools do not work with this
1Cast 1Fish ok thanks brother. Suscribed 👍🏻
Awesome and thank you
Very cool, thank you for the great info.
It does it's job pretty well....just a few small issues, but definitely helps get rid of line twist.
Great review man!!!!!
Thanks a ton buddy
For easier winding those larger reels, just slip a piece of PVC on the rear end as a "rod" extension.
That is a great idea, I will have to give it a try....might even do a 3rd video on this thing
If you have a old rod that holds larger reels, and is no good any more, cut to size use as an extension, might balance it out a bit better
That is a great idea to try
So this video is a year old now. Still feel the same way about this product?
Yep...it is actually a very good product IMO...it shows a bit of wear now, but I have done a ton of relines (over 100) at this point, so very acceptable. I plan on doing a final video this spring when I reline my reels...kind of like a final follow up maybe.

@@1Cast1Fish thank you for the review and additional input!
No problem
Mine is a little different, but I like it a lot.
They all work about the same I guess....I wish I would have got one sooner
Hey buddy great information might invest into one myself. LOL looks like it could be an ice fishing downrigger apparatus. I don't know how that would work together but there might be something there. LOL thanks man
Don't think it would work to well for ice fishing, but it is great for lining spinning reels
Very nice 💥
Thank You
how hard can it pack the braid on a big spinning reel ?
It honestly does a pretty good job...I have had no issues with the braid being lose on mine, and the Penn's I used in this video are pretty large.
Will it handle a 2400yd spool?
Unfortunately nope...they need to make one to handle big spools
How many times are you going to use the word “pissy”?
:)
I will get one of those I like it 😲👍
This thing has worked great, I love mine so far
That reel is huuuuugeeee
They make even bigger ones....lol
Cool video and channel! Just signed up and clicked the bell :-)
Awesome...thank you
Nice line spooler
It has been very good so far...no issues
Helllo my friend. Good video
Thank you, glad you enjoyed
Maybe it's the unadult side of me but I get a chuckle out of the name 😉☠
LOL
That spinning turns me off from that product. I may be wrong
The spinning is what keeps the line from twisting on a spinning reel...when doing baitcasters, you lock the rotor.
PIE SEA FUN
LOL
