The first video showed the spool spinning (preventing twist) as you put line on the reel. I noticed that for the 10lb line, the spool didn't spin. Then the spool was off camera for the rest of the video. I'd like to see another video with the 10 lb line spool spinning.
@@AlexTimm - Another tip. If you tighten the reels drag down enough to match the speed of the line spool it will not spin around on it's own when you stop, or hesitate to get going after you have started. It will start and stop spinning instantly when you do. If it still spins after you stop, or not spinning right away after you started, say hello to line twists. Your line spool should be turning the same speed as your reel.
U mention on spinning reel to leave it free to spin. On one you did that but on second one 10lb line you left if fixed. I thought you said lock it for bait cast reel. Is there a difference between leaving it to spin verse locked?
If open for free-spin it won't always spin if the line doesn't have any spin in it. But yes you should always let it free spin on a spinning reel to keep line twist as low as possible
That's an interesting idea, I never even thought of doing that. Let me see if I can pull that together in the next week or so. Thanks for watching and commenting, video coming soon 👍
Why was the smaller spool of 10lb line not turning like the 1st one, when you were winding the line on to your reel.
You were reeling the 2nd spool out of the view of the camera. I couldn't see if the spool was turning as you reeled in the line on the reel.
Bought this and received today literally the most frustrating thing in the world. Neither one of the adapters fit my reel. Wasted a ton of line.
Must have some weird ass reels. Hahah what a dork
I was excited to get mine I have spooled a few reels with it and get more and more frustrated every time just a waist of money
Thanks Alex. I saw this somewhere else but your demo & explanation made it clear. I'll look at some of the rest of your videos.

Thanks for commenting, I believe it did spin off the camera a bit. I will for sure work on making another video with the 10lb line showing it 👍

do a video on unspool as no one is doing that
Mine does not spin, why??? Did it just like you
I bought one that did not work. Sent it back
gets new line on spool with out twist go fishing cast out 20 times reel in line twisted again
Let's see how it works with a spincasting reel. If we're going to put it thru its paces, let put it thru its paces.
