the more u crotchet ya hair the more u damage it, it’s takes 6 months for ya locs to recover from the crotchet needle.. I got mine crotchet/instant locs in August & I haven’t used a needle since .. u shouldn’t be crotcheting new growth 🤦🏽♂️ just retwist it & let it loc on its own 👌🏾..

Shampooing every day is bad g try to do it every other day as it just strips your hair of it natural oils and vitamins and also drys it out. Try to just condition and moisture your hair every day and make shampooing a once or twice a week thing
Your hair is long enough for dreads. Don't two stand twist them. Just finger roll them. Take the piece of hair, put the product on it and then place your finger at the root and twirl your finger around that hair to the ends or use a comb in place of your finger if you want. That's it to start dreads. As they grow and lock, you can continue to do it like that but only using your finger or roll it back in forth with both hands. Good luck on your journey
