    I like the shampoo because its has many pure essential oils, its liquidy, and is light weight that don't cause product buildup. You really don't need to add conditioner with this shampoo, but do oil your scalp or add some leave in conditioner.

      Lol idk if you have dreads still but I mean literally all you have to do is ring out your while in the shower, pat dry it, then maybe get a low power hair dryer

      kid locs summer time once a week even sometimes twice a week depending on how much my scalp is working sweat. Winter/cold times about once every two weeks.

    Any healthfood store will carry Dr. Bonners shampoo, along with Target and a few other mainstream high volume stores. Remember it is highly concentrated, a little goes a long way.

    Doesn't casile soap leave residue in the dread? That's what I saw when I looked it up.. idk correct me if I'm wrong.

      if you use hard water, yes (you should do an acv rinse after it if you want to get rid of it, dont do it too often though)

      I had locs for over 5 years and have used dr. Bronners for 9 months. It caused buildup I over time, and made my hair look dull. Becarful using Dr. Bronners for a prolonged period.

      Caesar Valencia It's like a residue free shampoo and works just fine. If you have long loose hair then you may want to condition afterwards to prevent tangles. A little goes a long way. Very concentrated.

    Left build up in mines. 10yrs ago never again. Now I use palmers olive oil shampoo. Started at 1/2inch now it’s to my butt.😁absolutely beautiful.

    To be honest I’m afraid of this product after it burned me. I diluted it and all that. Had to go to the doctor for it. It cleared up eventually.

    I use doctor bronners as well but I use the tea tree concentrate and love it. I actually developed my own little concoction with it by deluting it some with distilled water then adding organic lemon juice, lavender oils and sea salt. It works amazingly and each ingredient serves a purpose when growing dreads.

    I used this on my dreads, they are short (I started in October) when my hair was washed and air drying the smell was amazing. But the next morning when it dried up my hair was really STIFF. After some time it did give but I wasn’t so sure how I felt about stiff hair, especially considering my dreads are not long so they just stick up.

      Josh Ekong dry hair dreads best that’s why I usually oil my scalp when I was my freeform dreads so my scalp doesn’t get very dry but my hair does

      If you let them dry completely and then use oil to moisturize overnight the next day your hair will be soooo soft

      @@screensaves both . I use a little bit of Aragon oil on my hair shaft. And i use amix on my scalp but only after wash day so that's every 2 -3 weeks.

    I'm white and prefer African Black soap liquid from Ellwood Thompson's, once every week or two.
    Rinse ANY soap out of your hair two to three times before you cut the shower head off though!

    I used Dr Bronners before dreads and after! I mix maybe 1/3 cup coconut milk and 20-30 drops of rosemary/tea tree oils in to help the scalp. go chems. clean. helps drying and loc. love it!

Honestly it’s jus what kinda of hair you have or how sensitive your scalp can be...this isn’t only shampoo so of course it has stronger chemicals in it, that’s where you need to dilute it. Hell the bottle says so in capital letters. But for me. I love using it. Ain’t got nothing bad to say about it

      kay b try to avoid using this product on weekly schedule im not sure about dreads but when I had my Curly hair I used this and within a week my hair fell out and scalp was burning like crazy and had to start over and shave my head 😂

    If you have hard water this thing is terrible.
    I used it for almost a year and now my hair is full of residue, due to the water. And I was using a very little amount even diluted, so make sure that your water it's soft before using it.

      Playboi carti hardness of water is referring to the quantity of minerals in it. Hard water means that the water has lots in it that can create residue, soft means that there are less, and so you shouldn't have residue problem, as long as you use a residue free shampoo

    I had a lot of build up from that shampoo. It leaves a light residue and It will make lint / dust stick to your hair.

      Gotta rinse it maybe twice. I rinse it twice no more than 3 times and the shampoo residue will be gone. Try not to use alot next round

      Castile soap binds to hard water. Baking soda rinse and ACV are needed every now and again. DILUTE DILUTE DILUTE the doc bronners.

    Recipe one: Coconut water + Peppermint essential oils + Teatree essential oils
    Recipe two: Mango + Pineapple + Coconut water + Peppermint essential oils + Teatree essential oils *put into a blender then mix to combine ;) Stay natural!! some of my clients even add chia seeds into there rinses! nutrient + antioxidant rich! EDIT: Also only a couple drops of essential oils is all that is required.
