I honestly love these videos. Stuff like this has helped me with my buddies' computer issues.
There's a fair amount of overlap with my one friend's new issue. We both got new 6800's, and his system would not even showcase any power on the mobo with the new card installed. The moment he put his 1060 back in, PC had power. Sent the 6800 in for RMA, but I'm still searching for answers in case Newegg says it's fine.

It was just that, everything was plugged in, just needed to wait xD
But still, remain calm at all times and always check you connected every necessary thing.

Speaking of weird. My friend and I once had identical Biostar motherboards, ram, GPU, and Sempron +2800 setups. Determined it was a bad cpu after my rig worked great after trying his cpu. On a whim he tried my cpu in his rig and it worked!? Thinking might have been a connection, dirt, etc we switched back and here's the weird part...my cpu still did not work in my rig AND his no longer worked in it's original rig! We switched cpus and both our pcs worked great until our next upgrades. Never have figured that one out.

    • @WeeManXL

Could be a bad socket that bend one of the pins in a weired way and after swapping it, the bad socket slightly damaged the other cpu too. Like that it's only lucky that the CPU's worked after switching them around again. Computers are like a parodys: nuts!

Originally, if I try to boot with one monitor with the high refresh rate, I'll run into this issue. I don't understand why this happens but as long as I have the old monitor in place I won't run into the problem. I haven't tried a different GPU nor a different motherboard. I bet it is a motherboard issue. I did get it as refurbished lol

its Funny My motherboard was shooting out a VGA light when I installed new Ram, so I thought that was goign to be your problem to, mine had to do with when the RAM was clocked to high, it would throw out a VGA error ( weird) I let the ram go to "stock" and everything was fine, I still have no idea what the issue is or was, after replacing my RAM with the same it now works....still confused, and im not tech dumb, but sometimes I just cant figure it out.

Had an X470-I stop posting after BIOS-update to get 2nd gen Ryzen support. Only error code was DRAM but after trying 4 different sets of RAM, clearing BIOS, trying the old CPU and 3 different GPU's I just had to accept it's e-waste. At least it spins fans and lights up so I'm thinking of just using it in a display build.

GT1030 is PCI-E 4x, a lot of cards from AMD and Nvidia in the lower end are 4x or 8x even if the slot is 16x.
I suppose it looks cooler being full length but like I sad most low end GPU's just dont have more then 4-8x lanes.
Reduces cost and there is really no need for more with limited GPU performance anyways.
My RX460 is 8x, all are but the slot is 16x long. You can even see some cheap cards dont have the extra pads for the not used 8-12x lanes and some are sold as 4x or 8x lengths with is actually nice sometimes since it will fit more slots with now downside to performance sines the lanes never where there anyways.
Because budget cards are 4-8x one should realy try a 16x card to at the end to make sure theirs no 16x problem, verify with a program also.
So yea if something is broken with the extra lanes that might not show up with a GPU limited to 4-8x lanes.
Also you can technically break a card/motherboard so it only works on some PCI-E Gen speeds.
I got a GTX295 that only worked in Gen2 and Gen3 capable boards but not Gen1. Well a previous owner knocked off some super small SMD resistors on the GFX card down at the slot. I repaired the traces and put new resistors back and it works in Gen1 again, so it could not negotiate gen 1 speeds without those resistors. I suppose you could damage a motherboard to to have similar things happen.

well, you showed me another reason to avoid an MSI motherboard like a plague never really had much luck with them all these years I specifically regret getting an MSI board for my X99 build a few years back as it died right after the warranty ended like clockwork so I am sticking to ASUS for now although I would also go for gigabyte despite their shitty bios or a Biostar.

@@quann06 ASUS has actually improved a lot more here in my country as I can now call them directly for a warranty claim with my Cellphone for any product and they even send a courier and cover the shipping charges never had that kind of service for a Motherboard, Router, Monitor or Video Card from any company before I usually bring them to a service center these are incredible changes now if only the turn around time for the repair
eplacement is faster it would be perfect instead of the standard 3 to 4 weeks it would normally take.

What if the 1st slot ran on pcie gen3 and not gen4 by default? I’ve had a 6800 not posting on a Aorus X570-I all because pcie generation incompatibility. I had to first boot with an old Radeon HD GPU to manually change the pcie settings in BIOS, then I can boot with the 6800.

I didn't see you clear the CMOS on the old motherboard. Sometimes a corrupt BIOS, different BIOS version, or odd setting can cause some weird stuff to happen.

Some of these boards need all boot devices to be disabled in the bios boot sector apart from the one with your boot OS on it that you intend to boot from.
just had a weird issue with one of these boards just the same error beeps you got but only when a USB drive was connected, on start up, I changed the ram settings from no boost to 1 XMP profile setting and it was O.K.

Man I've been having problems with my MSI motherboard too. It's the same mag x570 from here. I've reset bios, tried multiple different graphics cards on it, different ram sticks, and even used a friend's cpu. But whenever i send it to MSI they just return it back to me saying it's working properly. It's insanely frustrating.. and I don't know what to do. It's still under warranty and barely a year old and has been in and out of the service station from August 21 till Jan 22.

I've seen and read about more problems with tomahawk motherboards than any other. This was only after the 3000 series came out. Read tons of posts and tweets to MSI and they never did anything about it. RMA the board was the only option and hope you get lucky? No idea what the actual issue was and why some that came back from RMA worked. With a 2000 series, this and the b450 were the go-to!
