Welcome to the channel Carlos, and thank you for the comment. I plan on continuing the body work through the winter and....hopefully......get the paint done in the spring.

Cutting out the rust is the worst! But it has to be done! Good job!! Now the fitting and welding of the new panels will be the rewarding part when it's all final welded

Good morning Tony. This was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I am looking forward to the final product. Now I just need to figure out how best to make all the little patch panels I need. =)

Hey Nathan. Welcome Back. Being my first time doing it, I actually did have fun. I am sure that over time I will learn to dislike the metalwork as many others have but it is still fresh and new so I am enjoying it for the time being. =)

@@MontsweagGarage It can definitely be a bit of a challenge. If I do it again I will be doing it differently.

@@NathansMoparGarage how so? I think my main change would be to get an air hammer for the spot welds.

The Dart has the Flintstone mod. Very cool

The flippers will tell you just to Bondo it and spray some truck bed liner spray paint over it. “Mint” lol

This is my first project car and I'm trying to learn to do things the right way. Since I have the floor pans and crossmember already, I think the most challenging part for me will be making all the other small patches it needs.

I hate body work and I would put frame work is in that column, however the nice thing with frame work is you don't have to be quite as pretty with the results. Looks like you have the situation under control. Way back in the day I had a 69 Dart that was in very nice condition, however the torsion bar mounts not so much as I found out when I hit a big bump and it spun out the rust in the mount. Ended up scrapping the car - now that was back in the day, when there were lots of these cars around, I was young, stupid and the replacement of them wasn't quite a thing then, now you would simply get replacements and replace.

Hey Chumley! Welcome back. Good to see you here again. This is my first time doing any serious metalwork on the car. I am mostly excited about learning how to do it. And the end result. I am glad the parts are available to make the repair though. That crossmember was not too far from spinning a socket as well. Glad you enjoyed the video!
