For letters I use a paint pen. It works really well. And if I’m painting really close to another previously painted surface that I can’t tape I will use a q tip and some petroleum jelly on the other surface I’ve also used an old tube of chapstick. The oil from the chapstick or petroleum keeps the paint from sticking. I’ve done that with small detailed parts with great success.
I appreciate the tips. I am looking for a good chrome paint pen so I can redo the letters. I definitely should have masked the black one way or another.
@@MontsweagGarage lol, mostly the way we talk to ourselves, like that’s smart, that feels great, when you’re actually got a screwdriver jammed in your finger, but the amount of work you put in the vids and car is amazing, I’m really impressed.

Looks good to me.
Thank you Steve! Welcome to the channel.
Looking good.. looking good! I swear listening to you reminds me of sooo much from the past!!
I'd ask "Like what?" But I am afraid the answers wouldn't be appropriate for UA-cam....lol. We did stupid crap as kids.

I see what you mean. I distinctly remember comments like "That feels GREAT!"
Great job on the dash!!
Thanks Tony! It took me a lot longer than I wanted, but It was worth it in the end!
Looks excellent. Nice work.
Thanks Chumley! I wasn't totally happy with how some of it came out and will probably do some rework, but it looks WAY better than it did.
Came out great!
Thanks Dale! Took forever with all the snow. And trials. And a nasty infection. Painting in the snow doesn't work very well.....or at all.
