Drive for companies let them provide all the risks you make money save as much as you can. Next spring second quarter 2025 the rates should be normalizing with pre covid rates and then perhaps Venture into owner operator entrepreneurship
Damn, dude. I was just an operator in my previous outfit and i was getting paid enough to o qualify to live in subsidized housing and get SNAP benefits....That was 2017. I can't agine what it's like now.
You are handling your operation well Trucking is nothing but a hustle but you’re always or try to be 2 steps ahead Being on time is paramount it also builds your reputation as being a responsible driver They won’t tell you that the action of future loads will Rates are low because of late deliveries from break downs to accidents “ why am I paying high rates for something that’s not here when I need it “ That’s the mentality of shippers in my opinion Good Luck to You Keep Safe Always

What's the point of being o/o if you have to cut expenses at home. I'm company driver from northeast AR to Chicago or Indy. Sleep at home 4 nights a week with good pay.
My expenses at home are low. I'm mainly speaking on the sfi guys. Cutting expenses is perfectly normal, obviously no one would want to but if the business calls for that then that's what you have to do
Its temporary you don't shut a business down, because of a little adversity.. Anybody that think like that definitely don't need to be a business owner of any kind.. A little sacrificed now, when things turn around alot of money will come in, while others are capped and can't grow

low bills = freedom. all them yahoos with new trucks and then car payments etc back home slaving 3k miles a week just to cover those

Wife and i lease with swift and the pay is way better than what's at most carriers, from what iver heard. But i can't speak for every swift driver.

Dry van average this week is $1.54
