+kevin bodman Last time a checked, you had to "apply" to become a member, and if you don't have a car that fits their profile, you don't get in. Maybe it's changed, i don't know. But when he says at the beginning "people like to hate us", that's what he's talking about ; there's a bit of an elitism, like their penchant for modified cars makes them better.
You simply could not be more wrong. There is absolutely no way to "apply" for membership, and there never has been. All it takes is to simply show up - that's it, that's all. If you keep showing up, and demonstrate a sincere interest in being an active, participating member, membership will eventually just kind of "happen". We will invite you to join the club. It's that easy. What we do not want, what we will never have, are "names on a roster" kinds of members - we are very much a participation based club. If you just want your name on a roster, without really participating, join the PCA. We have had a few folks over the years that show up long enough to get invited in, join, and then we never see them again. All they wanted was to be able to say they are a member... we drop those guys pretty quickly. We are a club, a very loosely knit one, that is all about hot rodding early Porsches. There is nothing "elite" in any way about that. Would a '55, '56, '57 Chevy club be considered "elite" because membership requires a car that fills the bill? How about, say, an early Ford F100 club? "Elite" because you need an early Ford pickup to join? Why would anyone want to join a club that is all about something they don't own? In the end, we are just a bunch of guys who like to hot rod our early Porsches. We formed a club around that interest. We are about the least organized, most informal club to be found just about anywhere. No real rules, no real structure, no real responsibilities, no real obligations - we get together when we want, if we want, and have a good time with each other and our old cars. Not much more to it than that. Anyone can look us up, anyone can hang out with us, and if it's a "fit", no "application" will ever be necessary.
@@4570duplex I wish there was a club for owners of cars like mine that was like this R Gruppe. I was a member of a certain exclusive kind of car club, until they wanted $75 USD a year just to post comments on their web site. That,I can live without. To be able to drive with others of the same mindset would be fantastic.
Love the cars, but the music killed it for me, why do people have to always put music on in the back ground, listen to some one talking , and the noise from the engine , GREAT, then the music , coming on guys,
Still the best R-Gruppe video. Come back and do it again....
Man i would love too! :)
What a great video! You really captured the essence of Porsche ca·ma·ra·de·rie!
still the best r gruppe video out there!
Thx man, it’s a blast making this one.
Thx Tenn...such a fun event....great capturing of the spirit!
Perfection, just as the car Gods intended all Porsches to be, wish I lived over there just so I could join your group, Keep it Loud & Fast
Think I’d like to be one of these members. Cool car, well used, fun but NOT too precious.
Great cars 👍❤️
_I love all of them !!_
I love 💕 this Gruppe if I had a 911 I would definitely join! Keep on rolling!!!
When and where is it?
Many years ago in USA
So sad that Chris is gone RIP 🙏 😢
0:39 what is the color name (body)!? its amazing!
at that exact time, it is a black 911 - the next 911 is gulf blue - hope that helps!
Why is Marcus Walker's car on the video and not Marcus Walker himself?!?!?!?
+Oliver Sanchez Magnus you mean?
Rgruppe was there way before Magnus.
@@tenn_oou_duo And this "style" for want of a better word is not limited to Porsche although the "outlaw" crew seem to think they are unique.
220, 221 , whatever it takes
You are mistaken, his car was not there, and he is not a member

What car clubs have always been about!
Just some don't get it...
Very cool but the whole "you cannot be a part of our group" thing is just obnoxious.
