For real. Waaaaaayyy to short of a video... Its like a teaser trailer! I want to hear this guy for hours... God, I love Porsche and I'll probably never have one. 💥😢🔫
Charles Damery Hey Charles, I got bitten by the Porsche bug nearly 3 years ago ( actually even as a kid with the wall posters & all that ) anyway I got my first Porsche & haven't looked back, it's a Sunday car for me but she's a beast, 1983 SC convertible ( guards red ) air cooled, flat six, no power steering, no ABS, no airbags, incredible exhaust note, anyone out who has dreams about owning one, you just have to do it, trust me you won't regret it.....
your guys video series is going to be legendary if not already.. i know 20+ years from now we can all look back and admire your guys work and aspire to it!! hope to see you guys around!
I've been reviewing new Porsche cars since 2010, but these old cars never get old. I have a deep passion for these cars...This is a wonderful video and a man with a lovely story. Greetings from germany, it's a german thing but not just for germans :) - TheGetawayer
This is the first petrolicious video I have watched. I subscribed before the vieo was over. Geat shots of the cars with the narration in the background.
Many years ago when I was a teen maybe 12 or 13 I went to visit my uncle in California. He has a 1970's era, light blue metalflake, 911 SC Targa. I got to ride in it for a short trip and I was totally smitten and in love, and have been ever since. My memories of this car are very vivid and like it was yesterday. Its something I will never forget as long as I live. The glorious sound, and the sensation of speed, are absolutely intoxicating. I've owned a 76' 914/4 which comes close but still isn't quite as satisfying as a real air cooled 911.
Wow. Porsche will always be Porsche, what tingle my ears is that plesant rough voice on top of the sweet music and sound of aircooled boxer six. True petrolhead, beautiful episode. Just wow. 💙
The most amazing thing to me is the fact that the original paint is still intact and looks that good. I would love to see some close-up images of it but from the video it looks really nice. They have all of the resources to make it perfect but felt that it was too important to have the original paint than a respray of the highest level. Original paint is precious and that was fully recognized.
perfect music, perfect filming... what a car. is has the perfect porsche stance and thst engine is a masterpiece. that man is old money and veerryy lucky. very fortunate.
Saw my first 911 at the age of six, my dad still teases me about the time it took to get me to keep quiet after the first meeting....got my first 911 at the age of 32 and my first Boxster a few years after...currently the family mobile is a Cayenne Hybrid...I LOVE tbe brand
911's have gotten so expensive that they're out of my price range. I am, however, looking to pick up a first gen (986) Boxster. As someone who's owned and driven both I'd love to here your opinion and comparison of the two.
very nice story, I love how people put older cars on their feet to see the road again. Same happened to me back in 2000-2001 when i saw 996 turbo sitting at Auto show, my jaw dropped, I was still in school- Smiling and checking the car out, thinking I will never own one, only in dreams, BUT it did happen, after hard work and years of saving I finally bought one--- I'm sure this is the car-that i will never let it go.... I'm coming from bmw's and audi's - I also prefer German cars :)
PERFECT! Absolutely perfect! I'll take mine in the same color please with all accompanying modifications in tact thank you very much! Incredible builder and restorer. Love when someone takes any Porsche and makes it better than Porsche themselves did but leaves it looking pretty much stock. If I had a Porsche hot rod, i'd want it to look stock on the outside, and be a hell raiser when you stepped on that accelerator......the ultimate "Sleeper" Porsche.
It makes sense depending on how much detail work they're going into. Singer charges twice as much. Plus if you really want one you can still get a very good 964 for less than 40k.
I love the cinematography, the sound track but most of all I love the subject matter. After 6 years without a Porsche this, and Magnus Walker, have convinced me that the time has come again to invest in some 911 goodness. Air cooled naturally... Look forward to the next episode. P
i'm glad u don't mention prices and costs in all your videos, petrolicious, or i'd have stopped watching these having walked out of here with my tail between my legs ;p haha. I'm afraid 200 grand even before accepting the car for restoration is way out of my league. But a beautiful passion noticed, and masterful artwork! Huge respect! And thank you petrolicious for another brilliant video.
Was für ein geiles "Racing-Car"..... Dieser einfache "Ur-Porsche" 911.....Diese geile Farbe und diese geilen Nebel Scheinwerfer in Gelb und in Normal...Einfach nur genial... "Porsche"halt..." "unverwechselbare Qualität" Made in Germany "!!!!!
Anthony that's the good part. Top quality. Maybe better. No kidding. Parts are parts and cost same but work in different countries cost less and some of these guys work extremely well.
Great story and amazing restorations. Tho the fact that the gentlemen said you could drive his car after taking the Alfa for a joyride, and then backtracking on that, was not cool. Still, looks like it turned out ok in the end.
I was never a big fan of Porsches, I always tought that was a racional and logical car without passion and feeling. Each day I live I change my mind, such a tasteful car, mainly til the 98 air cooled boxer engines!
Connor Sprague Totally! It was the only clip I replayed...and did so slowly. I was looking for a slight offset of the pushrods, like on a BMW motorcycle, but didn't notice any. Good notice. I liked this guy's personality among the best of interviewed owners. Easygoing, yet into restoration, for which one has to be exacting. Seems like a nice guy.
Fabulous.....that guy has the coolest voice!
He is really having the Porsche fever. I could listen to him talking about Porsches for hours.
For real. Waaaaaayyy to short of a video... Its like a teaser trailer! I want to hear this guy for hours... God, I love Porsche and I'll probably never have one. 💥😢🔫
I agree. The way he tells the stories captures your attention.
Once you're biten by the Porsche bug, there is no cure.
Truer words have never been spoken.
Absolutely! I have only owned and been restoring my 912 for 18 months, and I'm planning on my next purchase already

My big hit came in 1971 with Steve McQueen's movie Le Mans.
I have a uncle with a blue 1970's 911 SC targa.
your guys video series is going to be legendary if not already.. i know 20+ years from now we can all look back and admire your guys work and aspire to it!!
hope to see you guys around!
I love the fog lamps on the front hood.
The you will love" Alpine" (A French car)
This is one of the best car stories I've ever heard.
It's great that he has such a good sense of humor about the whole thing.

Nice music, nice fellow, awesome cars. Yet another great work, Petrolicious.
Thanks guys!
Do you Know the Song?
This car is beautiful, clean and understated, no stripes or spoilers or any of that other crap, perfect color, too..................

What a cool guy
One of my favorites.
A very respected shop out in Long Beach. This video could be two hours long and probably still would not scratch the surface of all of Johns stories.
steel wheels look excellent !
Wow. Porsche will always be Porsche, what tingle my ears is that plesant rough voice on top of the sweet music and sound of aircooled boxer six. True petrolhead, beautiful episode. Just wow. 💙
My mornings start with Petrolicious & coffee.
tasteful mornings.
Drive Fast...DRIVE HARD! that's what Make's the Porsche 'SMILE'!.....Cheers from Canada!
The best 7 minutes I have spent today. :)
Loved his stories! Nothing like driving a Porsche!

Classic 911 look sweet man .this my dream car
I can't believe how you guys don't have more subscribers. Every video is so interesting and just nicely put together
Correction: 911's appeal is a Universal thing...
Still one of the best owner vignettes you have produced - YET!
Great film, loved the music as well!
*300K fully restored?! GOH! Just get a new GT2RS for same price.*
A very nice story, glad I found it.

Terrific production in this feature. Another great spotlight!
I like the way he talked about his experience...a true blue Porsche guy
Saw my first 911 at the age of six, my dad still teases me about the time it took to get me to keep quiet after the first meeting....got my first 911 at the age of 32 and my first Boxster a few years after...currently the family mobile is a Cayenne Hybrid...I LOVE tbe brand

I love the old air cooled cars. Don't think ill ever be lucky enough to own one but one can hope.
Wow !!! great video as always. The footage is just beautiful. Top quality production.
Beautiful film work total eye candy
Great story and awesome looking 911
0:13 Anyone recognize the blurry sequence and sounds? Nice homage to McQueen's LeMans.
such a tasteful channel. seriously great work again guys. world class stuff.
Just sth magical about air cool 911. Love the music.
i clicked 'like' before the vid started. thats how much i like this channel
I love the wheels on that blue Porsche.
very nice story, I love how people put older cars on their feet to see the road again. he completely blew that STOP sign .........
Beautiful.
3:15 the paint is original? I’m surprised the paint is so bright after sitting outside. I wonder what it looked like before the restoration.
That was an awesome video! I want to own a 1987 Porsche 911 carrera coupe or cabriolet some day.
PERFECT! Absolutely perfect! I'll take mine in the same color please with all accompanying modifications in tact thank you very much! Incredible builder and restorer. Thank you Mr. Wilhoit.
Great video!
It makes sense depending on how much detail work they're going into.

Try to get one as soon as you can. The younger, the better. You never run out of ideas on how to change it to make it more "yours"
Whats the background Song
It's like a poor man's Singer. Well done.
Great video

My favorite car forever!
Epic Video as usually
Tuesdays are my favorite
at minute 3:38... are those Heuer mechanical chonographs??? wow sweet!
There's just something about driving the 911 or even a Beetle. Really enjoy driving my Porsche, and making it better....
What jazz track is playing in the background? Also great video.
Love it!
I like how fuchs wheels look like on 944's but the 911 looks nice with the steelies. I don't know why...
Love these videos keep it up!
Awesome shot at 1:30.
His voice is relaxing
Porsche...there is no substitute!! " I had a German Shepard too" lol. That's funny!
what man has made, man can make again.
Who is playing in the background. I love that Music
Cristian Alexander you might enjoy miles Davis. It's just a free form jazz that's got a good horn player.
What's the background music? Sounds like Miles Davis, but I don't recognize the tune
