I got that mount from the start of the vid first time there ever was a blue quest in maldraxxus and saw some people having a hard time killing a rare I haven't seen yet.

To be fair, the droprates on some classic items are well below drop rates on mounts. Due to all the stat squishes, items that may have been global drops on all trashmobs got pushed to only a few mobs. Especially in Uldaman, there are videos of people doing 1000's of runs and still not seeing even one rare drop worth a lot.
one is an intrusive cash shop item where you spend real life money on some pixels, the other is a social interaction in which an item meant to be traded gets traded.
@@toastythetoastr but isnt that what the "feeling of achievement" he speaks so proudly is all about? being proud that you went through all that grind and can show off for it? if the item was easy to get there wouldnt be any of that so called "achievement"

While your point is valid as a whole, my response had to do with the part where you mentioned "gets people to give him crap all the time" which in this case, it was an offer from a viewer and not really a request or begging for it, I wasn't wrong on that regard. Now if we look at the broad response, I feel like there's a lack of consideration on other factors, such as not taking into account that he feels accomplished to finally being done with something he worked on for possibly years, that .22% completion that he got from a viewer I don't think diminishes anything he already did on his own.
Also not factoring that Asmongold is the "buyer" too and multiple times he asked the viewer if he wanted something in return and the viewer didn't want much other than a sub, if I were Asmon, it would be silly not to take the offer. Last thing though, I agree with you about the whole begging, I personally don't like that and it's a bit shameless to brag about it too, but I digress.
In a transmog competition he would roast the shit out of somebody using those weapons with that set because the "pixel count" is so different lol

You do realize that the only possible option to get this item is to get it from someone who already has it right? You can only buy it for gold, he even offered the dude gold for it, not his fault that all he wanted was a sub and a mount run. There is no othere way to acomplish that.
