Sounds good, but you don't need a 5" pipe unless you're building the engine and upgrading the fuel system/turbo. You could have gotten away with a 4" with plenty of room to spare... and please, you've gotta practice that clutch action. Diesels have so much torque, you don't need to give it so much throttle and light clutch-in. Just ease the clutch in until you feel it bite, then give it some throttle. It pains me to hear you riding the clutch so bad when shifting up and down gears. Still enjoyed the video, regardless. Make more vids!
With a trailer on the back and some weight it will smoke a little on its own without the silly smoke tune.. I get the smoke tune and what it does but that's useless af and terrible for the pistons
@KeepRTuned why don't you put the gauges on? It feels better to do the work yourself if possible. gauges anyone can do. It just makes you feel better knowing you did your own work
I’m in a ‘01 24V in So Cal, EVERY 2yrs gotta smog it🤦🏽♂️ Really! It’s an OBD1 truck, I laugh when techs plug in and computer goes blank!😂 they call the boss. Turns into a vapor/visual test. They Will fail you for intake without CARB#, muffler delete or smoke! I can’t wait to get out!!!!
I seen a stick shift 7.3 powerstroke the other day and it sounded amazing. Diesels in general sound great but there's something about the powerstroke that sounds great. 24 valve is up there with it. Then the lb7 duramax
I been building my cummins trucks with 3" straight pipes instead of 4 and 5 luke i used to and i love how they sound in comparison.
I love the sound of a 5.9 24 valve. My friend had one that had a P Pump on it
They are good pumps for sure!
That’s pretty cool might have to try that on mine
Do it and let me know how it goes!
Sounds great bro!
Thanks brother!
Whats the wheel and tire setup on the 2nd gen?

Thank you for the support and feedback brother! Yes my buddy needs to ease on the clutch for sure. And working on a series of videos at the moment!
What size tires? Lifted or leveled?
Sounds great 👍
Thanks man!
Talkin about ridin the clutch
Dude seriously that sounds like someone is inexperienced
What wheels are those?
Is the motor all stock and if so does it blow any smoke I live in Cali where they hate trucks so that’s why I’m asking
The truck did have a tune on it, but he doesn’t have the screen right now to go with the tune so great question

@@710earl good to know!!
Could you give me the link where you bought it, I loved the sound
It’s a mbrp 5” kit they sell them everywhere online check it out
I just picked up one for mine! Got mine from Diesel power products. Thoroughbred diesel and Banks has them too
Is that the stock turbo? Love the whistle.
Yes it is
No the stock turbo is not that loud
At idle
@@StanleyMatney-bi8nopop the silencer ring off
What are the egt differences
Not sure. I’ll have to bug my buddy about putting in some gauges!

@@710earl it’s my buddys truck! I’ll be installing my own in my red 2nd gen here soon!
My only question would it pass smog with the straight pipe?
We don’t have smog in Texas so yes 😂😂
In California yes
🤣🤣🤣🤣 That’s a hard no bro! I’m in this dump too!🤦🏽♂️

That sounds amazing 💪🏼💨💨💨
Is you car a manual ?
Yes
@@keeprtuned I thought I’d spotted a gear stick 👍🏼

Theirs no benefit in a 5 inch down pipe plus it would be a pain to put on
A 4” would be good
Was absolutely nothing wrong with the way that truck sounded in the first place. And yeah, what everyone else said….
How can you be this bad at driving a manual?
He needs to learn how to take his foot off the clutch jeez
