- A year or so ago I thought it was about time to revamp some of the old original Slade In England composite videos into a 16:9 format.
Here is the latest of those.
From some poor old Video taped footage comes Dizzy Mama, performed here at the Kimberley leisure centre Nottingham on Monday 19th January 1981.
The audio is edited down from their 1981 performance at the Lochem Festival.
The video is here to remind some of you of just how shit hot this band was, and for those of you who never saw them.....enjoy the tour de force that was Slade..... Live!

Einfach nur geile Musik von Slade.... in den 70er Jahren. Eine der besten Rockbands auf der Welt.
Saw them many times (which is hard to do in the States). And I went to a party with one night. I was working for the Faces at the time and Rod said to me, "I know a band you would like. Slade." And boy was he right!
The great Slade. Should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Shame for the most fun band ever.
Slade were at their very best live around this time imho. We real core Slade fans had a ball seeing them live. If only we could go back with time travel... They rock. And Noddy's banter I remember it all. Such fine times
Saw them live in Dublin in 1976 and was stone deaf for about a week afterwards. What a sound.

Slade had 3 things going for them . Jimmy Lee one of the best bass guitarists going around , Noddys voice and that raw party sound.
