- From the archives at Slade In England.
As a result of increased interest in the band following their Reading festival triumph the year before, Slade were big news again and had a whole new audience to bludgeon including those on the Continent. Here is a composite video from the editing suite of Slade In England.
This has been made hastily and as a result of having to brush up my video editing skills for another separate commercial project.....yes...you can see the joins, and yes ..I know it is not perfect..but...so what...I am sure that as I type these words there is another fan using the name Dave who will be putting together an exact video using the exact same edits and footage and dubbing the audio precisely.......so...if you don't like what is done here at castle Greywolf...please...wait for the copyists and rip off merchants to do their thang.... ...in the meanwhile...squint your eyes a bit and marvel at the best live band of any decade.

Enjoy. :()
The most underrated rock band ever and the best rock voice ever
the best live band of the 70,s early 80,s by a mile never get the credit for how good they really were,
Jimmy did the show of his life, what energy, fantastic, he put everything he had into this gig ❤
Simply the best of the best
It all worked together.. and the magic was always there.. especially live on stage..they always entertained..the best live act.. the Absolutely Greatest Mighty SLADE..👌
i don't think people realise how good a rock band slade were!
You have a very good point, as, unlike most of the Hard Rock/Heavy Metal bands that evolved from the late '60's that were based on White Man's Blues, Slade pretty much stuck with Rock. Their B-Sides were entirely amazing, as they sounded nothing like their hits. They inspired a lot more '80's bands musically than pretty much any other band. Shame they never made it here in America. They were a lot better than Led Zeppelin, as their songs were more upbeat....
True. Their Christmas song overshadows their other material in the UK mainstream now.
Рокеры самые лучшие и честные музыканты не какой фанеры все делают в живую рок 🎸 навсегда здорово 👍
That's what i call a performance.
If you missed Slade live boy you missed something very very special, ask the crowd at Reading in 1980, they blew all the other bands off the stage, by miles the best live band i ever saw and i have seen them all since 1969.
J'adore ce groupe, super les musiques qui accompagnent les chansons !

RICARDAS RAMASKA - As esu tavyje ( Dance )
Slade were one louder.
E xcellent iņ 2024.5.04🤣
Lead guitarist looks like a total goof- but he's one helluva player
Jim lea was and still is a far better lead guitar player
I’m not sure wether H is lead or Jimmy, Jim normally plays bass, guitar experts would know better than me
@shereemcclelland2186 Jimmy is on bass yes.but is definitely a better lead guitarist than Hill. Jimmy played guitar on a lot of Slade records apparently .Hill is an absolute shambles of a player nowadays
R&R = SLADE 1970 - ....
Ok
Far too many bands take note & style from the ie: Greta Kiss. Etc. Forever fan/ Fanclub member. C
