    After owning this car for a year now, I can definitely say the yoke is my preference! Got used to it within 2-3 days of daily driving and making a U turn is super easy one handed, cross your hand to the opposite side of the yoke and make one swift circular motion. No catching necessary!

      The yoke is hot garbage. There's a reason why Tesla started offering a round steering wheel with the S and X now. Infact, a round steering wheel comes standard, the yoke now costs extra.

    • @UTECHPIA
      @UTECHPIA  Рік тому +1

      @@Superman-xr1oh , Tesla likes to mess around with Supply and Demand (messing with people's mind based on price)... and with the internet, the topic of the "Yoke" goes back and forth between Good/Bad. I think the Yoke needs to address the issues with the "touch" control responsiveness. And I think a physical horn button in the CENTER a must!

    • @Superman-xr1oh
      @Superman-xr1oh Рік тому +1

      @@UTECHPIA I'm actually surprised Tesla didn't put the horn back in the center with the new round steering wheel. There's literally no reason whatsoever to make the horn a freaking capacitive button. They're trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist.
      I'm convinced that they only did it to be different from everyone else, and because they think it's "innovative".

      @@UTECHPIA I sold my Model 3 for I was hooked on the S, when I took my 3 in for some small maintenance. Like you, I asked for a test drive. The yolk steering wheel, the acceleration in “Insane” mode, the quiet because of not only the build, but active noise cancellation built in to driver and front passenger head rests…. I was forever hooked and bought the Long range Model S! My decision was also made easier for I was just thinking while driving my 3 to the shop, that you see the 3 EVERYWHERE you drive. 🤦🏻‍♂️

    The model S is the flagship vehicle of Tesla. I think it’s the best looking model. The range is the highest and even a 2021 plaid can be found for about $70,000. A lot of tech, performance and value for today.

      Hi David! The '17 version is fantastic value! I was comparing the 2023 MS and 2023 MY and M3. If money is a factor, it is hard to justify the extra price of the MS vs the MY, or even the MYP.

      @@UTECHPIA Yes, I am too. I learned a lot about EV's from this experience, and it's not good. I can't tolerate being left stranded on the side of the road by a new car. There are design issues with Tesla's. The inverters are weak points, and when (not if) either the front or rear inverter fails, it caused the pyro fuse in the battery to blow, which causes a loss of all HV. The small LV battery only lasts 10 mins before the whole car goes dark, including the hazard lights and all the doors and trunks. It's much worse than ICE failures. I am going back to ICE because I am at the point in my life where spending $100K to be stranded on the side of the road due to poor design is not acceptable. Tesla could have easily spent a few more dollars and designed the car to still operate with the good motor, but they made a bonehead decision.
