I'm now 23 years old۔ I have grown beetroot at my home۔ yesterday I ate beetroot and and I placed leaves in refrigerator۔ so that I could cook these 😀۔ i never waste any food 😂۔ I always try my best I don't waste anything
Just be aware of the high concentration of oxalates, specially if you are prone to the formation of kidney stones. Don't consume it in large quantities.
I did your mix the same as you did. They were better than a 5 star restaurant. My mother was a good cook also, her thumbs were like yours. Must be something about that. Thank you!
I made these and they were DELICIOUS. I have loved beets since I was a child. I have never had beet leafs before though. I love it more than spinach and collard greens!
One can also cook the stems of collard and mustard green leaves. Chop them small and cook them a while before adding the leaves, like she did here, because they are tougher. Once one adds the leaves and it all cooks for a while, the stems are soft and just blend in.
I made this with some grape tomatoes and tomato paste that needed to be used up and an unholy amount of garlic and OMG! That was like 6 months ago and i cant stop thinking about it still 🤤 I havent been able to find some good beets and beet greens yet this year!
Wow, this video is amazing. I am so in love with your oven! It's my goal to afford a home with an oven like that. My grandparents use to have one similar made of clay, and the bread made in it was out of this world.
I grew beets in my garden for the first time (not normally much of a beet person). but gave this a try w/ the greens. WOW. the toasted bread MAKES it. Excellent dish!
Thank you!!!!! We just tried it and we loved it. We had no idea we could make something delicious. We were about to toss it. So glad i stumbled on your video.
I have just picked some fresh beets out of the garden, and I am going to cook them as you advise, you say your mother could cook a meal from very little, I will bet she was a wonderful woman and very skilled
Your cooking is on a next level of expert 😲 you dice so nicely, your cookware is so lovely, and your oven is gorgeous 😍, to top it off, your voice and accent are so lovely. Totally subscribing!
Good recipe! Liked and subbed. I threw a bunch of beet seeds in my garden late Fall early Winter. They began to grow and stayed green throughout several snows we had. I picked many today, April 9th. I'm roasting the beets with other veggies and using your recipe for the greens. Thanks!
I was looking for a new way to cook the beet greens. I found it. A little hot outside for the oven. I'll use the Weber gas grill out back. First time here. Thanks.
I bought fresh organic beets to make kvass, and was looking for a greens and stems recipe. Although I watched a few others, yours was the best, as I'm Italian and this reminded me of nonna's cooking. Out of all her delicious dishes, my favorites were simple breaded and fried artichoke hearts and cardoons. New Subscriber!
❤️Beautiful Old World Cooking❤️ Your fire roasting oven is to die for! That bread! That bread! That bread!!! My mouth is watering right now thinking of your 'better than Pizza Hut' wonderful pizza!!! .... no doubt with fresh tomato sauce from your garden tomatoes and your glorious basil from the same garden nurtured by you through your mother's heart. I love women like you 💙 I look forward to your next video. (I'm doing the beets tomorrow just like you did.) GOD BLESS YOU🌹THANK YOU!🏆
OMG! This recipe is on point! I just made them-on stove. Easy! Healthy! Wow! It came out so delicious. I’m going to make this one of my favorite Fettunta! Thank you for sharing your recipe!

We're so glad that it came out so well...that even the kids liked it! Please keep following us for more recipes! And share yours, we're always looking for food inspo! 🔥🔥🔥
Extra time for stems. Chop those greens. Slice some garlic and add some cayenne pepper. When the stems get some time, add lemon zest and salt and put the greens in long enough to wilt. Add the juice from the lemon. Toast bread and rub with garlic, then put the greens on top.
Thank you for your tips. My hubby has beetroot in the garden and the leaves are so beautiful. My first time to try your beetroot recipe. Love your oven.
Thank you!! I for thèse Beautiful baby beets, and i want to use the Léaves and The red stem. Thank you for inspiring and Telling us about their nutrients
Beautiful. My gramps was a cook in the army and when we went to visit grampa and Grandmother he would do up delicious food. Best greens with garlic and beet greens like this. Beautiful stuff. This is delicious and beautiful oven here. Thanks for share. I can't find best greens are hard to find beets with the greens attached I will have to go to other stores to find some.
@Fontana Forni USA you had me from the moment you knew to cook the stems longer... you would be shocked how many videos don't include this small (IMPORTANT!!) detail!! i did cook the Golden beet greens and with your instructions... they were fabulous. Thank you, Fontana.
Your oven is AMUSING ! We have a lot here in Europe mainly in eastern Europe and the quality of the food and taste in that is just NOTICIBLY better than in a electric or gas oven next to it is looks good too.
Oh my God,. I absolutely love your oven / kitchen- -so cool!!! And thank you for sharing, I just bought organic beets today and I wanted to know if everything was edible- and it is, just like I 🤔
👍 So far, ive just been throwing them in with my chicken or fish and stir frying basically. And I ALWAYS must add garlic & cayene or a hot red pepper. Thankyou
Thank you for the recipe! I'm new to cooking and was going to make pickled quail eggs from the quail I have out back and when I went to the store to pick up beets I started thinkin "I wonder if I can cook these leaves and stems, and here I am lol def trying this tonight!
Thank you for the video I usually throw away the greens but today I mad it on the top of the stove I added onions first then garlic and chili pepper and then cooked the rest on the stove I added the lemon juice at the end. It was good but a taste you have to get used to.
How long should I keep the beet stems in the oven? This looks absolutely amazing! I'm growing beets for the first time to do pickled beets and didn't want the greens to go to waste. I can't wait to try this recipe! Now, "TUTTI A TAVILO, A MANGIARE!!"
Plus this lady said right out the gate her mother... no house wife nor man at the house cuts like that unless you went through training. Its a chef making this dish which is really cool.
I was today years old (26) when I learnt that I could cook beet leaves. I’ve wasted a lot of food in my life it seems. Thank you for this great recipe

Even the cut off ends and peels can be used in a veggie broth.
Juicing beats is good too. Tastes like fruit juice. 😋

I made these and they were DELICIOUS. I have loved beets since I was a child. I have never had beet leafs before though. I love it more than spinach and collard greens!
I always saute the greens with garlic, shallots and olive oil, but always discarded the stems! I'm glad I found your video, and thank you!
One can also cook the stems of collard and mustard green leaves. Chop them small and cook them a while before adding the leaves, like she did here, because they are tougher. Once one adds the leaves and it all cooks for a while, the stems are soft and just blend in.

Another good use for beet green stems is freezing them for smoothies. I cut the stems in small pieces, too.
I will try by stir frying this vegetable.
