This review was spot on, and omg the lidar tip! Thank you so much. Looking forward to more. I'm looking to anamorphic to change up my portrait photographs, yup not video, to give my subjects room to breath and bring in the beautiful cinematic flares and bokeh. I haven't pulled the trigger yet on purchasing so I have no experience. It would be wonderful to dive into these effects and how they're affected by aperture, focus distance, etc.
Thanks Rick! Always great to see your comment! Few people on the internet including you probably understand the amount of work that went into those details. I had to take a nap after this video… 😆🙏🙏
I just receieved the 35mm. And anamorphic adapter so can make all ny spherical anamorphic 1.33x. Not even sure how ill dji focus pro the adapter. I got beutral flare because dont really want blue flare.
@SePark I've seen a few videos on PD Movie and the reviews are mixed. Do you have a detailed review on it? I have no experience with manual focus lenses.
Hi, Thank you for your videos! I wanted to ask, if you were to choose your first anamorphic lens for the Sony a7Siii, which one would you pick? Best regards,
Anyone having more in detail informations regarding the differences between the Venus and the Saturn lines (besides price and weight). It just feels like the newer ones are cheaper and lighter... and when something sounds too good to be true, there might be a hook.
can you please please share the name of the music video you show snippets of in your video? :) :) which of the three lenses did you find using the most in that video?
Hi Mathias! Sure! It’s “Glory” by Ryan Chew. Actually I was hired to capture the behind the scenes. What you saw was part of the BTS. I know most behind the scenes aren’t filmed with anamorphic lenses but the main cinematographer is cool like that. 😄 He lets me use any gear I have. I find myself keep using the 50mm for most scenarios. If you UA-cam search “Glory by Ryan Chew”, you’ll see the full main video. That was shot with Sirui Jupiter lenses.
Hi! If you were to just get one, I would say 50mm to be versatile. It has the most character and it will cover most of your shots. If you were to get 2, I would go 35mm and 75mm since that 75mm is basically a 47mm in horizontal field of view. Hope that helps!
Hi Ryan, the center of gravity doesn't change significantly especially if you have a heavier camera setup. I have a cage on my Sony A7S III usually. I don't rebalance if I am run and gunning. Of course it will depend on your gimbal. I have the Crane 4, and it doesn't care if there is a slight weight shift. If you have a smaller gimbal, you would want to rebalance it. But yes, front of the lens is not heavier than the back since the front has the carbon fiber, and the difference between 50 and 75 is even more minor because of this character. Hope that helps.
Sorry I’m trying a new style of review video. I don’t like shoving a product down people’s throat especially on launch video. I tried to show all the facts and shared what I liked. I answer any questions on the first two days of video upload so feel free to ask if you want to know more. 🙏🙏

Anamorphic lenses would give people photos a film like look. For panoramas as well. An ultrawide shot with one click.
Great coverage. I also love the look of your talking head shot.
Haha thanks Mike! I’m using the next light am reviewing so that’s good to know!
Really great review. Subbed
9:38 Any chance on a Final Cut or DaVinci resolve preset? I’d pay, just saying.
Solid review Se! Nothing but quaility.
Haha I almost didn’t see this. Thanks bud for all your help with this! Good times!
great video, I have the 35 and was hoping the would announce more of the Saturn line. Just backed the 75mm
Thanks for watching! 35mm felt very lonely by itself. 😁I’m so glad they expanded this line.
@@SePark agreed! and as much as the inexpensive diopters really helped get some closer shots. Now we can really get into some magic.
Those lenses have character-amazing review!
Ivan!! 🙏🙏🤜Thanks for testing the lens out with me!
Hi, Nice vedio. I have on e question. Whats difference between Sirui Saturn Anamorphic VS Sirui Venus Anamorphic Lenses?????????
Just came across this. Nice review.
🔥🔥🔥🎥🎞️✊🏽 Fire Review Bro well noted with all the Details!!!

@@SePark I’m telling you and the crazy part that makes it more difficult is that we’re both parents so we definitely do not have enough time lol 🤣
@@CREATEBEYONDBOUNDARIES haha yep that’s the other part. 😆😅
Hi what is the car rig you used?

Can you share which lens you use to shoot the talking head portions of your videos?
When I’m down with frown, Se saves day! Upbeat brother!! _And_ we make friends with lens! And at 3:39 Korean gorgeousness is icing on cake. 💛🇰🇷
Gamsahamnida Glen!!
Thanks!

Hello my friend, trying to order the 75mm preset, but the site won’t allow me to submit the order.
Hi,
Thank you for your videos! I wanted to ask, if you were to choose your first anamorphic lens for the Sony a7Siii, which one would you pick?
Best regards,
looking forward to seeing how LIDAR performs on Saturn
Thanks! So far amazing. I'm currently testing for the limitation you should be aware of 😁

Great video!! Any chance I could pay you to make these presets for FCPX?

Hello. Which lens did you like better: 75mm or 50mm? Which one would you recommend?

duuude, that lidar is fire..
Do you have for Davinci Resolve?
Are these close enough in size and weight that I wouldn’t have to rebalance a gimbal while switching lenses?

@@SePark Excellent intel. Thank you sir!
Did you had time to test the sharpness of these lenses when set to close focus?
The sharpness tests on these videos were done at 3-4 ft distance. They’re sharp in the middle.
@@SePark any chance you could do a comparison between saturn 50mm and nanomorph 50mm?
Take my money 😂
Haha, nah. My presets are only a $1. LOL. Hey thanks for watching as always!
@@SePark not the preset the lenses ! Lol
...? at the end I feel a little bit confused.. couldn't tell a friend what the content of this video was... what's the summary?

Can you make a davinci preset? hahahahaaha I will pay for it !hahaha
Haha I would have to pay for Davinci first. I would have to if making presets for anamorphic lenses become a thing for me 😁
you could get the free version...@@SePark
"have some characteristics in the corner" = they're blurry as f*** and there's a lot of CA.
How to be politically correct 😂
Having to dequeeze each shot at a different amount seems like a lot of work for anything longer than a music video
Different amount? Each of these Saturn lenses has the same Desqueeze so you can batch it.
The video says otherwise, around 8:00
For most situations you can Desqueeze to 1.6 and never tell the difference tbh.
Perhaps... I personally am pretty sensitive to squished faces but I hear you.@@darkstormESP
Ye, on close up faces I can see it being an issue. Shame they are not more accurate but for the price point they are wonderful lenses.@@zak_ray
