Thumbs up for the preset, and subbed for being a camera nerd. I really liked the fact that you didn’t just point out the imperfections, you actually took the time to explain how you fixed it. Keep up the great work! I’m currently looking for a set of full frame anamorphics for my classroom. It’s looking like a choice between the Blazar Remus set, and Sirui Saturn set.
So glad to hear that and appreciate your comment. It’s easy to point out problems. A lot harder to talk about solutions on those problems. I haven’t tried Blazar yet. I’m really enjoying the Saturn series especially with the LiDar focus system combo.
Thank you for the preset man!!! I just ordered the lens yesterday, had it shipped overnight, and literally just now used the preset! Works PERFECTLY! GOD BLESS YOU!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
THIS...WAS... GREAT!! Man, thanks so much for this preset. I recently picked up this lens by trading my sigma 85mm for the blue flare Saturn...I think it's a win. lol.
I just got my first anamorphic lens and haven't gotten to try it out yet due to work and crappy Georgia weather. One of the things I want to try is using extension rings to enable closer focusing. I also have a Canon Life-size adapter that I want to try.
Friction on focusing: is it using more battery when using with the autofocus motor smart mini from PD ? or would the motor even fail with that friction on this 35mm lens ?
Awesome info! I tested the 35mm end of last year and knew nothing but what I read online. The anamorphic look right from lens to camera to laptop made it very cinematic as is. So now I’m curious. About the 50mm to actually get. But the 35mm is awesome
good introduction... concerning the flare effects: I am nit sure if the neutral characteristic are "filmic" enough: they look a bit pale or as if the lens has a defective coating etc., meanwhile the blue streaks appear with a more creative and voluntarily expression.. but, of course, this can be subjective👍👍👍
Great video - informative, to the point and engaging. Well done! I just got this lens also and concur, fun, great it is so light, small, yet ff. chance for people like me to use anam.
I got an anamorphic lens for my smartphone. Not as nice as yours for sure, but I got some nice results. I even started hunting lens flares for kicks lol. De squeezing after is a bit of a pain though. PS, is that R2-D2 on your T-shirt?
Haha now that you say it, you’re right! It does look like R2-D2! It’s supposed to be “Into the AM” logo. 😁 Nice dude! Anamorphic lenses are so interesting. Me too. Never been so conscientious about light source using it! 😂👍
@@SePark there are worse habits in this life than flare chasing my friend, so all is well. Yeah I’m not too clever with photography, but on the rare occasion I do try to make a nice photo or video, I try to make it as good as possible. I found putting the anamorphic lens on for a 4k 60fps video (especially at night in the city) creates a special atmosphere.

We appreciate the camera nerds. Excellent footage. Thought I was done with anamorphic lenses. Must look away haha
Haha Mike! This is just the start of full frame anamorphic lenses! Thanks for looking! 😁

What camera did you use the sirui 35mm on? was it a 3:2 or a 4:3 sensor?

Hey Se, did you get the 50mm? Would be nice to know how much the exact squeeze factor on that lens is
You probably saw it already on my channel page, but yes. 😀
Ah, the flame of Full Frame! I wish to make friends with lens! Gamsahamnida Se.
Gamsahamnida Glen! Such a great lens!

Amazing video 🤌🏻 very useful with the preset!
Thank you 🙌
Great review. I wonder if your preset works in Davinci?
Sorry it's in different file extension format but I did just download Davinci. If I switch, I'll make one for Davinci too 😁
@@SePark Thanks for the reply. Make sure to update when you do make the preset for Davinci.
Would love to grab this lens. Trying to hold out for a 50mm version!
Oooph, that 50 is gonna be legend….ary! Me too 😁👍
Awesome video. Very helpful, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
You are trying to kill my credit card 😅! Great video 👍
Haha sorry... hope that credit card has a 1.6X stretch factor.😁

is this the Saturn/Venus version?
Saturn
Great video 💚
Awesome preset! Sub'd!
there is software which can de-cushion it 100% accurately...even if its a double barreling or similarly challenging
Thank you !!

You've been wanting to say that, haven't you? LOL
