Got some good BAD CGI to react to: Steven Seagal's Code Of Honor... it's all bad BUT specifically the final fight scene 1) jumping through the skylight 2) the helicopter and the force ghosts on it and 3) the explosion EDIT: ACTUALLY DO A WHOLE EPISODE OF JUST SEAGAL MOVIES BECAUSE IT WOULD BE AWESOME *2nd EDIT: AND ALSO DO A WHOLE STUNTMEN REACT EPISODE TO THOSE MOVIES TOO

I watched Night at the Museum again with my family recently, and I was surprised with how well the VFX hold up, there are several places where I’m not sure how much of what I’m seeing is CGI and how much is real. Could you take a look?

I'd love a whole episode on "hidden effects", talking all about CGI used in movies and TV that you wouldn't expect. We all know there's a ton of CG in Dune, Harry Potter, LOTR, etc., but there's also a ton of VFX used in shows like Shameless or Ted Lasso that you wouldn't expect.

I've been watching The Gilded Age, set in 1880's NYC, and you *know* they couldn't have built an entire city on a studio lot so it's fascinating to try pick how far back the practical sets go before they CG in additional background buildings. Half the outdoor scenes I'm ignoring the story to squint at the most distant extra I can see walking around and whatever shadows they're casting on nearby walls and surfaces.

It won't be possible to do a breakdown until 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' is released on streaming, months down the line.
And even then, they'll probably wait an extra couple of months to pass, for enough people to have watched it for it to generate a solid buzz.
So, try asking for it again, say, 5-6 months later. Perhaps then, they'll seriously consider it.

For the VFX series you gotta react to *Aslan from the Chronicles of Narnia!* Also at the end of second one there's a big water creature, so it might be cool to see what you think about that. Maybe also, Max Schneider's Gibberish music video, the editing kinda breaks my brain there.

I've actually genuinely been putting a lot of thought into recommendations for you guys since you started this series and here's what I've come up with: Fractals. What am I talking about? Computer-generated landscapes using fractal technology. Famously that's what they used in 'Genesis Simulation' sequence in Star Trek II and it was groundbreaking. But I loved the episode you guys have done where you've attempted to recreate 'classical' CGI using modern technology and it just seems like a great challenge. Can you recreate the incredible fractal landscape from Star Trek II using modern software? Other points of interest aren't movies but Rescue of Fractalis and Lair both used fractal processing under the hood in ways that were extremely impressive for their time. Don't need nothing but a hearty thank you. Also I just love when you look at old analog effects so would love to see you talk about good and bad matte painting over the years, maybe Dykstraflex & computer-controlled multipass miniatures filming in general, or a "retro" episode with like pre-70s effects movies like Fantastic Voyage, Forbidden Planet, Journey to the Centre of the Earth & War of the Worlds. I think everyone talks about (the very awesome) Ray Harryhausen but I think it over shadows some other optical achievements of that time. Or the silent films of Fritz Lang (his german films are basically all effects heavy science fiction or fantasy) especially the launch sequence in Frau im Mond. Peace

I will advice them to refrain from seeing the 4K remade ones. They are AI generated/made and they also made it "60fps" where the original is 24 or 30 as usual.
The 4K one some of the textures and stuff do look better, but the whole "cinematic" (literal) feel is way off due to the 60 frames thing.
