Why does the song of the Forest Finns resemble Estonian much more than Finnish? Sounds exactly like one Estonian church song or whatever with exactly the same pronunciation "Sind, jumal, meie palume. Meid hoia...". Maybe it's something completely different but it sure sounds like that very much.

I didn't even know that there was an American Finnish dialect. I did a paper of Finns and Swedes in the 17th century, I'm just amazed its still spoken in some capacity.
Indeed ! If I was listening to it for the first time, and someone told me that she sings in some hungarian dialect, I would frankly believe it. "...és oly jó járni, jajj de imádok járni ! "
This was my request as well but after a 4 hours research, I finally found the song: ua-cam.com/video/9wZan_e_Lw4/v-deo.htmlsi=ULaFuHp-yuckkoUv Enjoy the song as much as I enjoy it.
Finns were living in the North before Scandis which are Swedes and Norwegians, also Finnic tribes lived in Russia first and then Moschovians came. In old Norwegian Sagas theres stories of Finnish Kings that ruled Norway that proof Finns were the original Vikings. But of course winners always write the history. Finland's official Museum is the hands of rich Swedish families so they don't want Finnish history to be told. They hate it and they decide what can be dug up from the ground. There's definitely none in this video, as the one presented as such here is actually sung by Arto Rinne, a famous Karelian folk singer.

"Вот, пока стоим на месте, поглядите поскорей. Ладно сделан честь по чести мой пастушеский хорей."
The ingrian one is haunting, the sounds of a dying language.
Yeah since there is only like 10 native speakers left. Most other Ingrians live in Finland, Sweden and Estonia
the fact that they’re scattered makes it worse
