Tennant is great being a bad guy. I'm still disappointed Disney didn't bring him into one of the mainstream movies as killgrave...somehow. magically. Y'know.
It wasn't just about the ultimatum with her girlfriend that would influence Hogarth to let him out, but her wife is literally trying to take everything from her. It's not just about booty.
+Blind Wave Well, I guess it is time to tell you guys Simpson is actually Nuke from the comics. The anti-Cap America also Hogarth definitely fucked it up for them.
Are you kidding me? Seriously, what are you talking about? They pay more attention than any other reaction channel out there. Seriously, do you just make up criticisms? Also, it's not that they forgot that his ex-wife as blackmail and all that, they just think it's annoying (and rightfully so) that Hogarth seems to think this stuff is more urgently important than a serial killer who can literally make people do whatever he wants. Like seriously, this is fiction, but imagine if it was real. That kind of stuff, no matter how important it is, is not more urgent than stopping a mind controlling serial killer. I don't get how people don't understand that.
what planet do you live on? There are selfish people out there, a lot of people would not give a fuck about a serial killer if it doesnt affect them or it can help them
I didn't say that there weren't people out there who wouldn't care. There are, but what? Is that supposed to make her any less annoying? Just because there are people out there who wouldn't care if it didn't affect them, doesn't mean Hogarth just gets a free pass. Two wrongs don't make a right. There are incredibly stupid, arrogant, selfish idiots out there who don't care about what happens to others as long as they get their way, and she is one of them.
Regarding why Jessica doesn't kill Kilgrave even if it's seem the more simple thing to do. The character of Will Simpson is actually quite important in terms of comparison because he is the contrast to Jessica Jones. He too is sociopathic in terms of current understanding of Psychopathy, just a different kind from Kilgrave. Like the "Trolley Problem". He is the "ends justify the means" kind of person which he wouldn't hesitate if he thinks throwing someone under the bus is for "the greater good". It certainly doesn't do you any good if you are the person being throw under the bus. Jessica can choose to kill... but that doesn't help people like Hope, and she wouldn't just casually discard people out of conveniences. They also already imply what Hogarth wants... & yes, she is a lawyer thinking how wonderful it would be for her if she can harness the power. Btw Hogarth is Daniel Rand's lawyer. Will Simpson is suppose to be Nuke and Trish Walker is suppose to be Hellcat.
I do think it's a great way to make a villain this psychotic still be sympathetic, having his mind control be completely involuntary. He has next to no power over whether his suggestions are carried out, so he has to analyze and second-guess everything he says to see if it can be taken as a command.
Hogarth is a senior partner in one of the most prestigious law firms and is a super professional, no nonsense control freak of an attorney... and you think all her motivations come from her sexuality... smh
I think one BIG thing worth keeping in mind, atleast from how it seems to be portrayed in this universe, is that people with powers are still relatively unknown. It's been a bit since I watching Jessica Jones but I seem to remember Kilgrave's powers being met with some skepticism. This episode was a lot of characters first time seeing his powers in action so it's possible Trinity vastly underestimated what he could do too. Plus in her defense she did stop herself from letting him out the second time.
simpson is nuke from the comics, hes basically like cap but has different abilities with some similar ones. the white and blue pills are just placebos and he also has a second heart in the comics lol
Hogarth's motivation for helping Killgrave is of course more than just because she wants to keep banging her assistant. Not only does she feel like she is in love with her and that her ex is trying to ruin her life and take everything away from her, but I think something else needs to be remembered. Hogarth is not a 100% good person. She's ruthless and seems to hate loosing or being made to look a fool. We've already seen hints that she has no problems crossing a few lines to get an end result she wants. And of course helping Killgrave is beyond stupid because he's evil but by this point in the story, I had no problems understanding that Hogarth doesn't care about using an evil person to get her what she needs/wants. Just as long as she can claim deniability. I mean, are you forgetting that she wanted Jessica to take care of her wife earlier? Or that she has been OK with Jessica's powers being used in shady ways even before then?
yea lol he's Nuke from the comics, hes basically dark cap just not as powerful. found it funny when chris evans aka steve rogers is wearing an outfit similar to what simpson would wear in civil war when he's undercover in the cafe
I have a question about your spoiler issues. When there is a character that appears in a show and you have never heard of heard of them, do you go to their Wikipedia page or any other possible material source to learn about their original story line?
Hogarths situation is not great writing but it is not about the gf withholding it is about her ex wife threatening her with blackmail to ruin her entire life and jessica has not done one thing to help her despite promising and being reminded again and again so hogarth is getting desperate
While it's not a good superhero show, it's a great drama/thriller show. Overall, it's better than Daredevil, IMO, but they barely fit in the same genre, so I can certainly understand why some love Daredevil more than JJ. It's like someone saying Stargate is a better show than ER. Someone who feels that way just loves sci-fi more than they love drama's. To each his own. :)
God damn it, Tennant is good in this.
Tennant is great being a bad guy.
I'm still disappointed Disney didn't bring him into one of the mainstream movies as killgrave...somehow. magically. Y'know.
He’s an acting god. Has he ever been bad in anything
12:12 Calvin turned into someone from the Blind Wave comment section lol.
I cannot understand how people act like this isn't a really solid show lmao. Episodes like this have such tension created
In her defense, Hogarth's gf is super hot.
Can we take a moment to bow down to the greatness that is David Tennant?
It wasn't just about the ultimatum with her girlfriend that would influence Hogarth to let him out, but her wife is literally trying to take everything from her. It's not just about booty.

@@jcastrowhite08 That's like 200% too much for Hogarth though.

Think of Simpson as the love child of Punisher and Captain America...NUKE!!!
That is a good way of putting it
That is suprisingly accurate
But they had morals
Best episode of the series.
I just wish the plot wasn't so sloppy sometimes.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. NO.
+Noob I hope you're joking
Meh. I liked the last one better.
I found it hard to watch, not because it was bad but because I felt bad for kilgrave. I found it painful and would physically cringe at some scenes.
+Blind Wave Well, I guess it is time to tell you guys Simpson is actually Nuke from the comics. The anti-Cap America also Hogarth definitely fucked it up for them.
I love the way you worded it
lol couldn't wait five more minutes for me to get back from and change it since my phone app doesn't have an edit button.
You guys seem to forget that the ex-wife is holding blackmail material over Hogarth.

Tennant was born to play Kilgrave.

I feel like we need these marvel reactions at least 2 a week, can't wait for next one
Episode 8+9 together would make a great thriller film.
You guys are the best reactors ever to walk.

Your reactions to JJ are the funniest, your video just made my day and i just fail an final exam jajaj. Good work guys
simpson is nuke from the comics, hes basically like cap but has different abilities with some similar ones. the white and blue pills are just placebos and he also has a second heart in the comics lol
I actually thought the 'lesbian' storyline was captivating. I really like Bogarth as a character, so maybe that plays a part.
"Every time I'm right, I get louder." That's the damn truth. My wife HATES it when I watch this channel. :)
JJ is so amazing.

yea lol he's Nuke from the comics, hes basically dark cap just not as powerful. found it funny when chris evans aka steve rogers is wearing an outfit similar to what simpson would wear in civil war when he's undercover in the cafe
But Chris Evans is better remember that
Nuke is physically stronger than Cap in the comcis, what do you mean he isnt as powerful?
Awesome t-shirt Aaron!
Cannot wait for u guys to do season 2 daredevil!!

I guess those pills are supposed to be a modified Super Soldier Serum? Only in pill form?
The actions of the parents justifies killgrave’s actions. And what about the other children?
Great reaction. Maybe Shannara Chronicles once GoT is over?
2 episodes a week of Supernatural is like a year to cach up to season 11 :D
Simpson is like a Nuke. He's bound to go off. XD
