R.I.P Meatloaf. We have lost a true legendary icon. Your voice, music and epic music videos will live on ! You never did get the recognition you deserved, but we still loved you ! We will continue to support you 💔. All our love... Your fans ❤
July 2022 still listening to his music. His music always picks me up in my darkest hours. I will NEVER STOP listening. So much Respect for this guy. True gentleman and down to earth.
One of his best songs. Very under rated and should have been a big hit but was released when he was on the downfall in popularity. Really good album also. My favorite after Bat Out of Hell II.
He could have written it anytime in the last 50 years... Like all his music, his music just holds up trough time, connects and amazes. What a Rock God.
Patti was Meat's best female collaborator by a mile. Was a shame the way it ended, but it was what it was. All good things come to an end but the legacy remains.
Du warst zu Lebzeiten schon eine Legende für mich....❤ U jetzt bist du eine "unsterbliche" Legende für mich !! ❤ Du bist unsterblich....allein durch deine Musik ..durch deine unverkennbare Stimme !! ❤
Me ! Saw Meat Loaf from 1985 to 2013 on Every UK Tour ~ Always Great Shows Fantastic Stage Sets [ The Giant Motorcycle on the Bad Attitude Tour 84/85 was Amazing ] Great Backing Band / Singers and of Course Meat Voice with Jims Songs [ and Others ] Thanks Meat Great Memory's
😌🙏🏼 Meatloaf and Patti Russo are true embodiment of Rock and Roll Romance; the kind that never gets old. I will never forget them; for they bring a love so pure in Rock and Roll. 💕❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
THIS is the definition of performing arts. Instrumentation razor sharp, vocals soaring and passionate, and SINCERITY on Meat and Patti's parts. When Patti belts out "I LOVE YOU" at 4:47, my heart bleeds every time. BRAVO to a historic performance!!
I'm pressing F to pay respects to one of the all-time masters of rock and roll. This song is my personal favourite. Just such a fantastic track, and Meat and Patti were meant to perform together. Amazing chemistry.
Mary Ennis Agreed on the first part of your comment. The second part makes you seem like every cranky parent everywhere. Plenty of great music today. That neither adds or takes away from Meat Loaf’s brilliance.
Nothing like driving the backroads at 2am, windows down, wind in your face with Bat Outta Hell blasting at ear-bleeding volume😎 Still, nothing compares!
I remember when this song hit the radio on the rock station where I live in Montreal around 2002. What a great song, old school Meatloaf style with a awesome band/orchestra behind him and Patti! What a fucking babe in that short blue dress! I agree with the other comment on here, this is true rock n roll ballad singing. Pure good music. Meatloaf forever!!!
This is one of my favorite Meatloaf songs among so many others. We lost one of the music's greats when we lost him. I've loved Meatloaf ever since I saw him on Saturday Night Live when I was 10 years old, and I had to go and buy his album, and I played it so much that it's a wonder that I didn't wear the grooves off the record. He was also one of my musical crushes too.
I have his autograph, and at his last Wembley Tour, I was about thirty feet from the stage. That concert was epic, this is classic Meat, Fantastic as always.
Seeing all the comments of people sharing what Meatloaf and his music meant to them makes me smile! I’m 31 and I was introduced to meatloaf when I was in nappy’s! His music is and will always be a permanent fixture in my playlists. Rest in Power! 🖤
I've always live to hear patty sing. Her and Meat create an amazing duet and if I didn't know any better, the stage presentation between them will lead you to think they're maddly in love. Provo performance.
Another powerhouse duet that sings to the soul. I agree Meat Loaf is a drug. I have been in love with him since the beginning. His music sings to your soul. The stuff today just barely registers on your mind. Even his newer songs touch me. He is Legend. He and Patti Russo are duet Legend. Why isn't he in the American Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame? Why isn't Patti? Such powerhouses! Their music will live forever.
Nobody does over the top like ML! Turn it up loud and don't be embarrassed when you get side-way glances. (updated: rip big man. thanks for the memories and the songs. the world was better because you were here.)
True story I’ve recently been listening to Meat Loaf a lot. In passing I told the Mrs. that “I’ve been on a Meat Loaf kick lately.” She said, “How would you like me to make some Meatloaf and baked potatoes tonight for supper?” 😳. True story.
My heart is crushed 😭💔😭💔💔 really enjoyed this man's career . I put meat loaf up there with People like Elvis Presley , Michael Jackson, and Great Artist. Elvis is the King of Rock and Roll, Michael Jackson is king of pop, and Meat loaf should be the King of Rock opera. Thank you for everything.
RIP Meatloaf I wished that it was a horrible joke when I read of your passing, but it wasn't. You put poetry to music, and told stories with your music, and you had a fan of a 10 year little girl who saw you in 1978 while watching Saturday Night Live, and she got excited when found and bought your Bat Out Of Hell album, and played it repeatedly. That little girl was me, and I've had a crush on you since, and your music couldn't be touched. You'll be greatly missed by me, and others.
This song is a great song, and demonstrated by a fantastic artist what a legend miss your music what great inspiration by a fantastic singer and song writer god bless my friend
You left us too soon Meat Loaf, Heaven couldn't wait and today marks a month of your departure, now you're rocking in heaven... You always were, are and will be a legend... Rest in peace my dear Meat Loaf
RIP my Star. As this song you were never truly appreciated that you decerved neither could the world understand how great you were. I hope the stars like you, Johnny Cash, and Chester Bennington will forever burn a bright burn on the music world and help peoples mental health
really miss this man and his music as well as his onstage persona. saw him at warwick castle in 2004, not the greatest setlist but still top knotch performance.
R.I.P Meatloaf. We have lost a true legendary icon. Your voice, music and epic music videos will live on ! You never did get the recognition you deserved, but we still loved you ! We will continue to support you 💔. All our love... Your fans ❤
Genialny Meat Loaf ale także pianista 👍👏👏🇵🇱

February 2021 in the UK listening to this. This is truly an epic world class masterpiece that has yet to be beaten. Fantastic.
July 2022 still listening to his music. His music always picks me up in my darkest hours. I will NEVER STOP listening.

Me! He just makes everything better.

Is there a better combination than Stein man and meatloaf I don't think so
Marvin Lee Aday, you took a bit of the color from our world when you passed. RIP
A true shame we never got to hear Meatloaf and Freddy Mercury together.
After hearing of his passing, I came to this song. RIP Meatloaf
With him passing away I reflected on all of his music...I think this is my favourite track, with You Took The Words a close second. Rest in peace.
RIP Meat, you’re an absolute legend in my eyes.
You & Patti made a formidable duo.
One of his best songs. Very under rated and should have been a big hit but was released when he was on the downfall in popularity. Really good album also. My favorite after Bat Out of Hell II.
Anybody here in 2020? No? Just me?
This was one of my favorite albums. I too likes Bat Out of Hell II, but this one was better.
What was this album called I only have the first two then monsters loose
@@aaronbushue499 "Couldn't Have Said it better" Same name as the song. Good album!
I'm here in 2021
He could have written it anytime in the last 50 years... Like all his music, his music just holds up trough time, connects and amazes. What a Rock God.
He was an amazing performer but never sang his own songs. He said in an interview that he didn't like what he wrote.
Patti was Meat's best female collaborator by a mile. Was a shame the way it ended, but it was what it was. All good things come to an end but the legacy remains.
OETKB Puppets And Stuff what was the reason they went their separate ways?

The very best of Meat & Patty...one of my faves ♥♥
The best female to sing with meatloaf of all time quality
Patty Russo is a great singer and she's so pretty.
Nathan Iredale I couldn’t have said it better
" you took the words right out of my mouth "
The one and only "Meat Patty" 🤣
Dunno Aspen Miller is up there
Patti looks and sings better than ever!
RIP to a true musical genius and incredible performer

What a singer. Love you since 77 thank you for keep making wonderful music xo
Meatloaf has been a drug for me. I listen to him and it completely changes my attitude. Won't waste my time on the junk they call music today.
Mary Ennis Agreed on the first part of your comment. The second part makes you seem like every cranky parent everywhere. Plenty of great music today. That neither adds or takes away from Meat Loaf’s brilliance.
Im totally with you on that. He's a "life saver', together with all of his collaborators.
Nothing like driving the backroads at 2am, windows down, wind in your face with Bat Outta Hell blasting at ear-bleeding volume😎 Still, nothing compares!
Omg... He's getting better and better with age. I think he's a hunk. ❤❤❤ Have always adored Meatloaf.
Me too
I second the hunk part.
I love this cat's style. He has always meant it.

A beautiful song; extremely under rated. He was an amazing singer may he Rest In Peace♥️
Grew up on meatloaf, this man is unreplacable
This song is like literal continuation of "And I Would Do Anything For Love".
This is one of my favorite Meatloaf songs among so many others. We lost one of the music's greats when we lost him. Love meatloaf
i come back to just hear her sing. and she is so beautiful.
Such a man of classy performances. It’s like he pulls us in there, so deep and he wraps it around you ✨💜✨
Epic song, sounds like a Steinman tune but actually written by James Michael and Nicky Sixx of Sixx A.M. So great to re-discover this.
No one brought a songs vocals to life like Meat...
and when paired up with singers like Pattie Rousso, no one could have sang it better! 😎
I have his autograph, and at his last Wembley Tour, I was about thirty feet from the stage. That concert was epic, this is classic Meat, Fantastic as always.
fan from 1978 .... best vid, best song, seen you live, ...this is the max, thx meat and Patty to the Antwerp show in belgium !!

I hope Meatloaf and Jim Steinman are still making epic ballads together wherever they might be. RIP
Very underrated album

Truly sophisticated song. Perfectly performed. Steinman on piano. OH! Her voice!! What a VOICE😳
A gem that I didn’t know existed. Brilliant.
A beautiful soul and a unique voice. I met him once at a signing for HMV. Still have my signed shirt.
