The side conversation of “Oh my god, you’re wearing sandals!” Made me lol, great video, would be fun to be able to attend this sometime!
It's a great time!
@@britishmuzzleloaders Hey Rob! Where did you get your Ww1 British uniform from?
@@Jew1999 There is a while series on Kit on the Channel which covers the WWI stuff, cheers!
Thank you Rob for another well done Video. The Volley was awesome, but that third Volley-wow! One 31 gun single sounding shot.
It was good to see you again Douglas!
I've been a forum member of "British Militaria Forum" for around three years now, and I can attest that their knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for old arms is unparalleled. As a civvy in Scotland, I dearly wished that I was there. It looks like you all had a grand few days. Thank you for your efforts.
Great bunch, the Victorian Riflemen!
Nineteenth-century rifle are beautiful. This is the first time I've seen an Ottoman Martini Peabody rifle shot.
Needham musket conversion rifle is pretty good.Greene was extreme.
Nice job 👌.
Cheers!
Rewarding to see two of my favorite YT documentarians together and enjoying life. Rob your work is the root connecting so much history and keeping it available. Thank you
That is very kind. Thank you!
What an excellent job good sir !! What an honor to rub elbows with some of the finest people around ( and we got to meet Othias !! )
Yes we did!
Marvelous! I've never wanted a Howda pistol before, but I fell in love with the Snider version at first glance. And Rob, your bromance with Othias was heartwarming to see. Thank you very much for sharing this remarkable experience with us, I do so hope I can participate some day.
It was a great time, for sure!
Looks like a good time was had by all! Congratulations on the anniversary!
Indeed!
Soooo gooood ! Hurray! Love this meeting thank you for posting ! From the other side of Channel !
Glad you enjoyed it! Cheers!
Looks like everybody was having a great time. Also some very very interesting firearms you don't get to see everyday. Happy anniversary thanks.
Cheers!
I have met Ken Smith-Christmas. He is a very pleasant and knowledgeable gentleman
He is indeed!
How nice to see Othais join you on this episode. I am a big fan of both channels, so this was a special treat. The shoot looked like my kinda fun. Thanks for sharing, Rob.
Most welcome! Cheers.
Thank you for chronicling this awesome event! Keep the history alive!
You are most welcome!
Wonderful video Rob, thanks for sharing.
Cheers!
13:54 : finally, some Webleys! Othais really is a fantastic dude
He's pretty good
Indeed!
That Ottoman Martini was pretty cool! Never heard of them!
It was, save the gargantuan trigger pull!
Wonderful! Thank you, Rob! All the Best!
Cheers!
Thank you for posting this.
You are most welcome!
This and the Tel El Kebir videos are my favorites. I've probably watched all the shoots 4 times each! Thank you for making them
Glad you like them!
outstanding effort and interesting content as always Rob, keep up the good work - great to see so many folks out enjoying classic weapons
Cheers!
A great video. Those Howdah pistols are something else...
Aren't they?!
Thank Rob for making interesting and education video
You are quite welcome!
Huzzah you always have an outstanding video makes my day
Thank you kindly!
Could watch a 3 hour version of these shooting event videos you upload, always enjoy waiting for and watching the summer Alberta shoots.
Great to hear! Thank you!
Very entertaining to watch.
Thank you!
Hi from Syracuse NY USA brother thank you for sharing the gathering of everyone and adventures
Cheers!
Hello brother
Smashing good show.
Cheers!
Another great video Rob. My Snider and I enjoyed watching it. Thanks much. Great to see Othais there.
I and my Snider enjoyed it as well. The Swedish Rolling block even enjoyed it.
Great to hear!
One day. . . having joined the forum in March 2002; nice to see lots of smiling faces
One Day David. It'd be great to have you along!
Good thing Othias was there to show Rob how to load a Martini. LOL!!!!
For sure!
Great video! I loved the Stens because I own one myself. The oldest British Firearm I own is a 1915 Webley MKVI in 455 Webley. It is great when gun people get together. Thanks again for this well done video.
Nice!
WHAT a great time it looks like!wish I could have been there
It was!
Awesome!
It was!
Cracking video.. enjoyed every minute 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! Cheers!
You sound a little under the weather I hope you recover soon. Great video... I will drag out watching it as I enjoy seeing such.
Haha! Just a tad... All OK now though. Cheers!
Huzzah! I have a Martini Henry in .303
Great fun to shoot…wish I could actually hit the target though!
Haha! More practice 😀
Great soundtrack!
Cheers!
What a joy to witness, if remotely, this august assembly. Huzzah!
It was a great time, for sure!
Life is Beautiful
On the firing point with good people, it is!
Looks like all had a grand time and made new friends.
For sure!
Great video. The introduction of Othais and crew was epic.
Thanks!
@@britishmuzzleloaders not sure, that crew seemed shady to me...
A few moments later. A few moments later.......A few moments later........Looks like a great time, nice video, thanks :)
Hey, the trigger pull was titanic.....
Lovely!
Cheers!
Fantastic! Springtown rod and gun club is my local club, and we also host N-SSA civil war shooting events as well. It’s a great place and very supportive of historic shooting
Nice!.. A great club!
Happy 20th anniversary
Cheers!
I love how you are keeping the history alive. God thing you reload. Otherwise, I can't imagine how expensive that meet would be. I wonder how many got the joke at the intro to the Howdahs at 32:20? Most Python geeks (like me) I imagine.
Well spotted!
looks wonderful/silly people/not only having fun but getting an education as well
Yes.
Huzzah! Fine work chaps and chapesses. Was that the Snider pistol I sent to Michael?
That I don't know, John. It was fun to shoot!
What fun
Indeed!
Good Video
Thank you!
Looks like a great time :)
It was!
Thank you for the video, BritishMuzzleloaders. Always a treat. By the way, on gunbroker, there is a Swinburne-Henry rifle up for sale. It's way above my price range, on account of the fact that they are as rare as rocking horse excrement, but I figured I might let you know. I'd give my eye teeth to put it in my collection! If I remember correctly, the S-H was used by Lt. Durrant Scott at Isandhlwana, as well as by some of the other mounted troops.
(P. S. When you were in Natal, did you get to see the song of the Zebra Warriors performed? It's one of those things I've only ever read about.)
The S-H has an interesting history in Zululand for sure.
So cool.
Always wondered exactly what events transpired to the famous Nepal cache finding its way into just the right hands, would a quick snippet about that be something you'd be able & willing to undertake?
I suspect that if it hadn't, Pedersoli would have had their hands full making Martini Henry's right now.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Possibly the greatest bromance in youtube history.
Haha! Maybe just a bit hammed up for the video.... 😀. But it was great to meet everybody!
@@britishmuzzleloaders would you like us better if you got to pay? Lol ❤️
I'm very sorry I missed this. I've been wanting to go to one of these shoots ever since I joined the forum but I just never have been able to make it.
Springtown is a great time!
I saw a garand there on the bench!
There were some infiltrators, for sure.....
I had that thing since LAST JULY and had not shot it yet... so it tagged along. But I spent far more time shooting the Royal used EIC musket next to it on the table though. :)
Awesome Video, IMA looks like a cool Place to Search in every Corner for treasures. 😀
I have a question: where can i find these Beautifully Green Uniform from the QOR for Reenactment? Thx for the Help.
All custom I'm afraid...
@@britishmuzzleloaders Oh Wow, this is cool. thx for the Answer 😀
my dream is coming true yes yes yes... know just need capandball..
Haha!
@@britishmuzzleloaders project blackpowder ive been try for 4 years now.. well in comments lol
a snider pistol...very cool...also how does recoil of a martini-henry compare to say an under and over 12 gauge? great video
It's stout, but not ridiculous...
Looks as if it was a great time. But where was the other half of the video side of C&Rsenal, Mae?
She couldn't make it due to continuing work requirements with C&Rsenal at home.
looks like a great time. How or can one join this group? I have two Aussie Martini Rifles Not sure of the Caliber they say 32cal on them
As it says on the tin, it's the members of the British Militaria Forum.
When was this... It would have been so kool
End of March.
3:14 Bringing Martinis to the masses. James bond desagrees.
Haha!
Did I see Othais from C&Arsonal? I would love to have seen Mae there as well! BTW another GREAT video!!
Yes, quite a few times, in fact.
Do you only collect long arms, or do you have any side arms in your collection as well?
No, I do not have any handguns.
Umm, Rob, that 'Birdie' ain't that little!
Haha!
I need to join you guys one of these times; a bucket list thing to do. Thinking about getting a snider *or* a martini; which would you recommend?
Martinis are more available. Sniders are (in my opinion) more fun.
EIC muskets though...
@@eVVigilance What is an EIC musket, I am unfamiliar
@@martinthemalnourishedmuske7532 Muskets made by the British commercial guntrade for use by the armies of the East India Company. Many ended up in Nepal, and then were sold by IMA. There are many in this clip.
You will end up with both, so just pick one to start with.... 😀
@@britishmuzzleloaders I have a MkII Martini Henry on the way; I guess you were right LOL
The lock time/lock delay on that volly gun was so long...
Well, I've seen worse....
@@britishmuzzleloaders I guess as long as you don't have time for lunch between pulling the trigger and the shot firing, then it could always be worse. :D
So weird, Ian from Forgotten Weapons just did a video on monkey tail carbines.
Yes he did, or at least about a centre fire conversion of one...
@@britishmuzzleloaders You're right Rob, it was a center-fire conversion. I hope you have a wonderful Spring and Summer this year!
@ 0:40 in the last paragraph the word "premier" is misspelt. I don't care cause I personally think as long as someone understands the general gist of whats being said, whats the big deal? But wasn't sure if you'd care so I reckon to make mention of it.
Got it, thanks.
11:47 What's this big bore square barrel pistol with spare (loaded?) chambers?
I never found out....
@@britishmuzzleloaders Dommage! Maybe next time?
अग्ररेज ने असला बनाया था बहुत अच्छा👍👍😎😎😎😇😇
Sure!
@4:24 I thought it was a big foot😳
Haha!
I never heard of David, Kristen, or Suzie...
Just othias and Mae
They are more than just two people.
We lurk in the shadows.... just to sneak hugs on Rob
Forking fantorstic
Cheers!
Is that you... Far right... In the group photo???
Yes.
:)
👍
Omg... Wait... Where is this at... Where is IMA???
Pennsylvania... No way...
Please don't tell me this much amazing stuff happened in my State...
Nothing Happens in Pennsylvania... Ever...
yes.
How do I get in contact with the armory because I am looking for a Flint lock muzzleloader in fire condition
Don't know what you are talking about... 'the armoury'???
The building with all the old military weapons
@@earlshaner4441 I still have no idea what you are talking about.... what 'Armoury'?.... Are you referring to IMA?
You showed a warehouse with different rifles and other stuff
@earl shaner International Military Antiques is the place you are looking for. They are mainly online only. Just type in ima and google will get you there. While not everything there is a minty gem, read the descriptions as they are most honest about describing what you will get. I’ve bought three firearms from them and have been very pleased with them all. They still have flintlocks left but the stocks were quite beat up so you get original metal and a reproduction stock.
