When I was 18, I took my little brothers friend to the school dance. He was 13 at the time. We kept it appropriate, he brought me flowers, and of course he was just on cloud 9 because all his friends thought it was cool. It was all very innocent (I’m sure the boys had their little convos about me later) but this is just plain weird.
I'm, like, afraid of whoever thought of that and went "yeah, that's a good idea," and put it in the movie on purpose. Somebody there approved of that and it's honestly disgusting.
I watched blank check several times as a kid and I don't know why I never thought the whole relationship thing was weird, probably explains why I didn't think it was weird to have a 19 year old girlfriend at 13, but looking back I understand it was very weird and how were my parents not also weirded out by it
I feel like it should be stated that kids/teens having crushes on adults is fine and normal because they don’t know any better (i.e. a student having a crush on a teacher). HOWEVER, if the adult pursues the relationship, then the adult is 100% at fault and deserves to be in jail for the rest of their life.
As a future elementary school teacher, exactly. The thought of a teacher responding to a student in that way makes me want to jump out of my skin. Either you don’t respond to innocent compliments or just leave it at “thank you”.

@@tricksfollies9549 Yeah, that woman could have kept her distance, so it's weird she decided to go out on dates with the boy and give him that long kiss on the mouth. Does it seem like she developed romantic feelings and was attracted to him?
When I was 11 and in 5th grade in 2015, my teacher showed Blank Check in class because we were doing some sort of class project about checks and math (or something like that) and she thought it would be a fun way to show us what checks are. Or something like that. We finished it over like 3 class periods because I remember 1 of the periods was a day I was sick and I missed the beginning. So I started Blank Check when the kid gets hit by the car and had zero context for why he wanted a million dollars. very very weird movie.
Yeah, I don't know why this creepy movie was shown all the time in schools. Do you think it looks weird when the woman kept staring at the kid and touching him during their dates?
I remember that kid kissing an adult woman in that movie. I honestly wasn’t sure if it was actually a real memory because that sounds crazy. Turns out it was real. Thanks Disney!
That's why there's a warning on certain Disney movies that basically amounts to "some scenes in this movie are racist by today's standards". Peter Pan because of the Princess Tiger Lily scenes, Aristocats because of a cat who uses chopsticks to play the piano, Dumbo because of the Jim Crow crows, Lady and the Tramp because the cats who are Siamese, if you please...
@@wonderbookk It was okay when it was made though so I am not bothered by it. The way I look at it is that showing what the world used to be like is a step in preventing it from becoming that way again. Kids rarely ever catch racism or dirty jokes anyways, I never thought twice about the crows in Dumbo being black. They just were and the only reason I knew was because of the voices. Erasing and shunning the past gets us nowhere, better to embrace the past to better the future.
Why does Drew's delivery of, "It takes place on 911," make me laugh every time??? Also, if anyone's interested in seeing a movie with a much more respectable portrayal of a kid having a crush on an adult, I recommend Hesher(2010).

I used to love watching Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, Dexter’s Laboratory, the Powerpuff Girls (the original and only good version), Johnny Bravo and the Smurf’s. I only got to watch a couple of Disney shows like Lizzie McGuire and That’s So Raven. There’s probably more, but those are the ones that popped into my head.

Gellert Grindelwald love victor is a love simon spin-off show. love simon is a movie based on a book. so love victor is a tv show based on a movie based on a book

The kissing scene in Black Cheque, despite being reprehensible in-universe, I jumped right out of the scene and was just like "that actress! Did she not care that she was kissing a kid like that!?!"
True! The woman fully read the script then she still agreed to give the kid a really long and deep kiss anyway, and just like any other movie, they probably had to film sevaral takes of that scene

How come this sort of thing happened all the time? It's not like there could have been a shortage of male actors who were teens like their female co-stars. Why is she always a teen and he's always in his 20s??
@@PurpleMoonFlutethe most generous guess i can give is that they wanted their teen girl audience to be able to relate to/see themselves in the main character while she lives out the fantasy of falling in love with a hot guy. with few exceptions men in their 20s are better looking than teenage boys, and it isn’t uncommon at all for teen girls to celebrity crush on adult men and imagine romantic relationships with adult men. so it’s like a self insert fanfic. not that disney should have played into or normalized this of course! in the tv shows and also many of the movies at the time they portrayed age appropriate relationships, but in some of the movies they portrayed the hot mature dude who sweeps you off your feet, which is a fantasy and not a realistic scenario. so maybe they thought about it that way, like the viewer could also distinguish fantasy and reality, but of course their audience isn’t going to be that critical or discerning so in the end it doesn’t matter. i don’t see why they couldn’t have made, say, camp rock with nick jonas as the love interest instead of joe, but nick jonas definitely had a different/younger image at the time and i guess that just isn’t what they were going for. there are also restrictions for working with minor actors that don’t exist for adults, so it’s probably easier production and budget wise to have as few minors in the film as possible. plus adults are usually better actors than teens, so it’s just easier for them to cast an adult. in the end it’s all financially motivated, because that’s more important to them than portraying healthy examples of relationships for teen girls in every single movie.
Yeah my Alexa heard that and decided to pop off with saying she'd start it but I had to dramatically end it before she went off, I freaked out and yelled "ALEXA, DO NOT SELF DESTRUCT!"

"One of the things on Preston's wish list besides a house is a girlfriend."
Well, I already don't like where this is headed.
Exactly, I was like is he going to buy a hooker lmao
@@gabrielaharries8149 I don't know what would have been worse - that, or what actually happened lol
I was reading your comment the moment Drew started talking about his wish list. Gross movie, good timing on reading your comment
“Alexa, self destruct”
me with headphones: *i am invincible*
Same!!!
Me with no Alexa: Haha! Checkmate
Idk why I got kinda scared my Alexa reacted cause I have my audio low asf.😂
haha same
Yeah my Alexa heard that and decided to pop off with saying she'd start it but I had to dramatically end it before she went off, I freaked out and yelled "ALEXA, DO NOT SELF DESTRUCT!"
I started choking when the women and the boy were debating how many years have to go by before they could get together
Jasmin Green
BRUH.
Das called grooming luv
Good lord. NEVER EVER PLS 🙏🏼
Na,you got the Covid
At first she's just planning on literally grooming him, and then she just skips the grooming and goes right for the kiss. WTF
They need to give Disney a “Quiet on Set” docuseries
Agreed! Are you scared the woman in this creepy movie did inappropriate things with the kid while rehearsing the romantic scenes together back then?
TIL Disney filmed a felony being committed and put in in a movie.
What movie?
@@killme7206 They filmed an adult making out with a minor...

I'm deceased.
Lol me too
And what kinda parents raised this boy!gosh this world is aging so sad
When I was a kid,I enjoyed this movie but as an Adult I’m like WTF! did I just watch, how was the Actress cool with kissing a kid and also what the hell were the Director and Writers thinking 🤔that scene should’ve never happened
Edit this to say that “like this if you are a pedo”
I made your comment go from 1k to 1.1k😎
also while watching freaky friday i showed my chinese boyfriend the part where the chinese daughter and mother were talking in mandarin and he says the daughter has so much accent like she doesn’t know chinese. so yeah they didn’t even hire an actual fluent chinese woman. she was probably just an american born that had chinese ancestors
Drew doesn’t even bother with a spoiler warning coz he knows we won’t watch any of them
You cant spoil that which has already turnt.
You kidding? I've already watched most of these 😂
@Abby from wii sports *you're
they left in the 20 year age gap kiss but dropped Love Simon because its “adult content”
it's messed up af
Thank you! I was looking for that comment. I love how Disney is always like: But what about the children when it comes to gay representation. And then they drop shit like this.
Yep 👏🏻🙄
and that’s on being homophobic
exactly! there is literally nothing wrong with love simon or love victor that makes it adult. yeah, there are some innuendos and a couple of swear words but most of it would go right over kids heads. there are so many things on disney plus where it has 'adult content'
When Drew says "hey, guy," I know he's greeting me and only me, but how rude is it that he ignores all of the rest of you? It's always so awkward and I feel embarrassed about it. Do you guys feel marginalized?
I think I speak for everyone when I say We get it. You've worked hard, you deserve it. I do hope one day Drew might start greeting the rest of us though, or at least some of us.
You deserve it man you are much greater than all of us 🙏
this!! this right here is my sense of humor
