Hold to swap all the way, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone in to grab a crown and swapped out one of my weapons by mistake and didn’t notice till later on.
Or you can pull out your pickaxe and spam the pickup button and it will only pickup stuff not swap anything. I always forget to do this but you see streamers do this a lot. I have definitely swapped my shotgun for a bandage instead of reloading that cost me the game in a 1v1 for the win.
The controller sensitivity options were on point for my play style. Im landing pump hits clean finially and im able to adjust fast enough when i get hit from side or behind. I felt luggy but i was afraid to touch to much. I hust copy pasted yours and its right where i wanted it. Thank you a ton! RedMacintosh out.

Just wanted to say I appreciate you adding some tips on controller settings as well even though you don't play Fortnite on controller :) I wish I had a pc to game on still but for now I can just work on improving on the controller until I build a gaming pc again!

I've been using the azeron keypad for about 6 months now... Keybinds comes down to personal preference we all know that. But it's best to be optimal and not overload each finger with your pointer finger and ring finger are doing so much I can imagine you hitting the wrong button way too many times in a fight or switching to the wrong weapon. Each weapon slot is a for me on my left hand and then my mouse right side button is my shotgun All of my movement or the pullback keys it just felt natural to pull back on moving .. I'm at in the other discord or something maybe I can post a picture of my setting on there

If you go to your keybind settings inside fortnite and select an action, like "Reload" you can then click the box next to it to record a bind... just scroll down and it should save as scroll wheel down.

I have the Azeron device and am still getting used to it. however I don't understand when I set the joystick on it to Xbox so I get straif movement why in game the car and running movement is jerky like only moving wasd, but when I am in your Creator practice field running and driving it is nice and smooth. Why would it work in your test field but not in game mode???

This is such a great video. I'm going to order an Azeron next time I can afford one. I stopped playing Fortnite after moving to mouse and keyboard from using gyro/joycons on the Switch, I have an elite PC set up now but I just can't enjoy WASD movement and building with a keyboard. It just feels TOO HORRIBLE! Azeron looks like a viable solution to this problem!
I went from XBox with an Elite Controller with back paddles, then to PC/KBM. I just couldn’t reach all the keys instinctively without looking on the keyboard. So I ordered the new Azeron 2. It’s 10,000 times better than everything I’ve tried in the past. The big complaint I had about it, the keys on the Azeron were so sensitive that it almost made it unusable. Nothing worse than being in a fight and accidentally hitting your Cone or an Emote. So I glued rubber key springs from an old laptop I was going to throw away, to the back of each key to add resistance. Now my fingers can rest on the keys without activating them accidentally. Made the Azeron worth every penny. My key binds are a lot different than his because I had to account for my panic play style and choosing certain binds that won’t affect the current mode if I press them accidentally.
If you play builds you use dang near all of them! I absolutely love my cyborg, been on it for a year and a half, and was on the classic 6months prior. It’s so much comfier than kb! The ONLY thing I don’t like is you can’t make the extreme strafe angles like you can on kb with double movement but it’s absolutely amazing and that’s the only thing I can knit pick about it.

Did you say your DPI? Also, how do you change the hold/toggle for crouch? I see that bind for crouch but i want to crouch when i hold the button and when i let go i stand up. Right now , i hit crouch , i stay down when finger is off the crouch button.

i just got mine and its hard to see what your actual binds are, a close up would of been nice secondly you should of done the fortnite settings first how would i know what weapon slot 1 is as far as binds go? i would need to see it on fortnite first then change it on the azeron software. Everything [in brackets] is the keybind inside of Fortnite... the word below it is the descriptor of the keybind. So to switch to my item slot 1: [1] SLOT 1 . For sprint: [SPRINT] SHIFT ... at the end of the day, if you don't need to be super organized all you have to do is open up fortnite, click on any keybind and then press the button on your azeron to record that action for the keybind.

However, the profile file download does not work for me. When importing in the Azeron software, it claims it is an empty file. Could I ask you to review the file? When you are in google drive, do you see the code text when you are previewing the file? It is working for me when I download... Alternatively, when you download you can open with notepad or a text app and see if text appears in the file.
Yes, the content is there, however the structure is different to what it looks like exported from 1.3 version of the software (did a quick test export of my own profiles) More precise, it is not wrapped in a 'profiles' element in the JSON. I wonder if this is a software version issue. No biggie, got it working with manual configuration. Thanks again, buddy!
@MasterRandleYT in this video I was using 800dpi... but I'm on 1600 dpi now and 4.5% x and y in FN. I think the cm 360 for that is about 23. But honestly this is really fast and I don't recommend this unless you've aim trained for a while and have stable aim (not shaky) and good control.
hey toby, sorry if you already mentioned this in your video, its been a while since i watched it, but what DPI setting do you use for your mouse? I just got a Logitech G pro X superlight and out of the box it had a lower sensitivity than my old mouse, i downloaded the G hub software and the mouse's default dpi was 800, i switched it to 1600 and now it feels more like my old mouse sensitivity wise, but curious what setting you use

I’ve watched a couple times now, but can’t find where you say what DPI you set your mouse to? I have a G502 X and set my DPI to 950 but I’m having a hard time dialing it in along with X and Y sensitivity (both are in the 6.5 range) and ADS sensitivity around 53%.

25:11 - I got the Azeron, the Mouse Sliders and the Mouse. Loving the setup! I copied your setup and noticed that you have Slot 4 listed twice on your pinky. Was this on purpose? Thank you for all that you do!
OHHHHHH YEAAAAH! You are setup! Give it some time and I'm sure you'll love it. The Azeron takes some time to learn, but its pretty amazing once you get comfortable with it and customize it so it fits like a glove. I do have SLOT 4 listed twice, and I really need to change that to be a toggle mic option for the push forward pinky switch, because I never use it anymore. When I first started I kept fumbling the slot 4 down press and sometimes flicking forward and hitting the other switch, so I mapped them both to the same thing.

Mr. Shinobi, do you have any particular settings for your headset? Like any specific equalizer for playing? I got the hs80 from corsair but seem to struggle with sounds in fortnite, even using icue software with the fps setting, souds are suuuper loud, even hurt my ears. Great video regardless!
I don't - I have fancy audio software that comes with the steelseries arctis nova pro headset I use, but I use the default settings and sound is clear and crisp for me.

So I have a 60% gaming keyboard do you recommend scrunching my fingers up into the positions they normally would be or spreading them out on the keyboard
I don't use a keyboard because I hate them for gaming lol... I wouldn't be the person to ask. But I think you basically have to scrunch them in order to get all the keys bound and easily accessible.
Just got my cyborg, i only play zero build, have tried a few different binds but struggling to find comfort, im going to just pick something then stick to it and keep at it. Its a learning curve for sure.
@tobywanshinobi - what are your mouse settings in windows/driver app? I find the in game mouse settings are useless without the context of the pc settings. Sorry if I missed it.
Shouldn't you play on Fullscreen mode istead of Windowed Fullscreen? Also I don't think setting View Distance to Epic gives you advantage, cuz then it shows you a lot of foliage (like grass in the jungle). Meybe not in performance mode, but in directx mode it does. I'm curious about your PC, cuz you said that this game is not well optimised and you got hitches. I had many hitches when i had my old PC i7-5280k and gtx1080 despite i have more than 180 fps, but these days when i play on 13700k and rtx4070 i have no hitches at all and i use directx 12 with let's say "medium" graphics quality. Meybe you should change pc or make clear instalation of OS. Cheers, much love!
"Fullscreen" actually allows my cursor to leave my screen to another monitor while accessing menus. Oddly, windowed full screen does not. Same issue for my friend. I have a 3090ti and an i9-12900k... when streaming I have more issues on DX12 than I prefer, so I just run performance.
@@TobyWanShinobi i have same problem with fullscreen, so i move my other display to top right corner then i can't move my cursor on second monitor at all, but i don't tell you to do this since you prolly need to switch between monitors
100% on fingertips grip mouse. Can’t believe some don’t do it like that-is critical for fine control used for distant sniping. I started Fortnite with auto picks off and highly recommend turning it on. The only way you’ll pick up junk because if your slots are empty, which is at the beginning of the game and you probably want to pick it up anyway.
You have to map keybinds to match Fortnite keybinds. Also make sure your Azeron is fully plugged in, it plugs in further than it looks on the USB part of the device.
My cyborg just came in thanks for the recommendation. I tried importing your keybind profile but it says the .json file is empty. Any clue what's happening?
Looking online, it sounds like a bug.... they say to try importing, then export, and then import the new file you will get after export. Sorry for the delay on response, didn't see this!
@TobyWanShinobi oh sweet!! You're the best. Also your zero build tutorials have been helping me alot. Before watching I never utilized bunkers like I should've in the end game. Now I win a lot more. Keep doing what you're doing. It's helping a lot.
Nice video. When it first came out cumulative damage numbers would break aim assist on controller. It would create an invisible object that would block aim assist after a couple shots. They have probably patched it by this point but just something to be aware of for controller players.
Great video. I just got the Cyborg 2 and man those keys are SO SENSITIVE. I barely touch them and changes what I’m holding; build mats etc… It almost makes it unusable.
@thomydavid you just gotta take a good amount of time to make the cyborg fit your hand like a glove... once it's in the "perfect spot" it makes it so accidental key presses are rare.

I saw in the Azeron software settings you can program the buttons to do two things with one key press; example: hitting the button for Wall = Wall + Place Build. Or Double Press. Are those considered “macros”? And does Fortnite allow that? I don’t want to get banned.
@thomydavid those are macros and by definition a competitive advantage that others can't get unless they are on PC and have a macro enabled device, or on console with a external device. They are considered cheating. But, from what I've heard they are undetectable and a lot of competitive builds players use them. I don't use macros and I wouldn't recommend it.
I ended up mapping mine kinda similar but a bit different. You have some great advice for mouse button mapping on here that I will for sure be adding to my setup!

Didn’t know you were an Azeron player too! Your keybinds are similar to mine. I’m Zero Build but learning Builds. There’s some other Azeron tricks you can do. In Builds people use mouse wheel up for Edit & Reset on the same keybind. You can set an Azeron key to Mouse wheel and even change its scroll speed. So instead of using the mouse scroll wheel it’s just one Azeron key. I can send a screenshot of my Azeron keybinds if what I’m saying is confusing 😂
@@gambitgaming4258 you can also do the same thing with only Edit for mouse wheel up/down or Edit & Select. Make sure the speed isn’t crazy fast or too slow and you’ll be good
I just got an azeron, downloaded your profile and got all my key binds set up and everything, the thumb stick won’t move me though, any idea why? Been trying to figure it out for a while and can’t find a solid answer anywhere
It was, I just finally fixed it, downloaded a firmware update, it was the same version, so it was more of a firmware reinstall than an update, but it works now, man this thing is gonna take some serious getting used to, I feel like a child right now with how bad I am haha but I’m excited! Hope you see this question: Is there any advantage of the towers compared to the mini design? I just feel that the towers are exposed to damage during travelling but I don't want to regret my decision Truly appreciate the effort you put in passing your knowledge in a very intertaining way
I don't think the towers are THAT much better, but I would say they are a bit easier to reach without having to move your hand. I think you'll be happy with either. Compact would definitely be better for travel though without having to move the towers each time. You'll end up putting your less frequently used actions on your towers anyway.
I'm glad I got a cyborg mini but azeron put the wrong colored part on a button and didn't put the bottom colored pads and missing a couple rubber pads on the bottom fingers. Also I didn't get the restriction ring for the joystick. However I'm still happy but $350 for a custom pad and not getting exactly what I ordered is extremely upsetting.

Ah, a pity you became Azeron's partner only now. You were the one that tipped me over the fence into buying Cyborg. I did mention it in the feedback form but I don't think they will credit you any commissions. Mine looks almost exactly the same as yours, haha. I also wanted a mean discrete design without any colourful nonsense. I may have missed it, but I don't think you mentioned your mouse's DPI. The first 3 days of trying to find key binds that fit me, layouts and trying to remember them was a real struggle. I felt like a total idiot. I'd say casually playing for about a month is enough to get to about 90% of where I was with the keyboard in terms of hotkeying.
I have a disability affecting my hands and fingers and it's hard for me to play Fortnite, even though I really enjoy it. I just ordered a claw keypad - I have to try this 😊

@@MFBuddy_YT if you are not used to K&M, probably Azeron is your best bet. I've been on a keyboard since the early days of PCs but still, in games like Fortnite (especially build mode), I can't understand how people get done these crazy finger gymnastics with tons of keys to reach. Azeron will probably be easier to get used to for you. Don't forget to use Toby's code ;)
Here's a PROtip for you Tony.. get a cheap streming computer and offload your gamingcomputer, also if your computer crashes your stream will still be on. AND, you can choose to only stream your main screen and never have to worry about streaming other stuff.
2 buttons will be great. 3 maybe. More - usually not going to be as great as you imagined. From personal experience. I was playing Fortnite builds with 3 builds assigned to my mouse side buttons + DPI button for edit... not that great. With Azeron I kept only 2 builds on side buttons.

I know this is an old comment but hold to swap doesn't prevent you from just tapping interact to pick stuff up and replace items.

Hey great video just feel like missed important details. What's you analog input on azeron software Xbox 360 joystick / Analog Joystick / Keyboard or Xbox & keyboard. Would love to know your angle , lower/upper deadzones and most importantly sensitivity.
i just got mine and its hard to see what your actual binds are, a close up would of been nice secondly you should of done the fortnite settings first how would i know what weapon slot 1 is as far as binds go? i would need to see it on fortnite first then change it on the azeron software. Idk just a thought, cause i was super confused. still a great vid tho. thank you.
Everything [in brackets] is the keybind inside of Fortnite... the word below it is the descriptor of the keybind. So to switch to my item slot 1: [1] SLOT 1 . For sprint: [SPRINT] SHIFT ... at the end of the day, if you don't need to be super organized all you have to do is open up fortnite, click on any keybind and then press the button on your azeron to record that action for the keybind.

However, the profile file download does not work for me. When importing in the Azeron software, it claims it is an empty file. Could I ask you to review the file? Or I can, of course, set it up manually! 😀

When you are in google drive, do you see the code text when you are previewing the file? It is working for me when I download... Alternatively, when you download you can open with notepad or a text app and see if text appears in the file.
Yes, the content is there, however the structure is different to what it looks like exported from 1.3 version of the software (did a quick test export of my own profiles) More precise, it is not wrapped in a 'profiles' element in the JSON. I wonder if this is a software version issue. No biggie, got it working with manual configuration. Thanks again, buddy!

@MasterRandleYT in this video I was using 800dpi... but I'm on 1600 dpi now and 4.5% x and y in FN. I think the cm 360 for that is about 23. But honestly this is really fast and I don't recommend this unless you've aim trained for a while and have stable aim (not shaky) and good control.

It did take some time, but as my mouse control has developed I have been slowly upping the sensitivity. I went back to 8% recently

I just got a Logitech G pro X superlight and out of the box it had a lower sensitivity than my old mouse, i downloaded the G hub software and the mouse's default dpi was 800, i switched it to 1600 and now it feels more like my old mouse sensitivity wise, but curious what setting you use

Not at all. Most pros are using wireless at this point, it's a negligible difference. Checkout optimum tech channel and his testing.
I’ve watched a couple times now, but can’t find where you say what DPI you set your mouse to?
I have a G502 X and set my DPI to 950 but I’m having a hard time dialing it in along with X and Y sensitivity (both are in the 6.5 range) and ADS sensitivity around 53%.
I use 1600dpi and 3% x and y now, which would be equivalent to 800 and 6% x and y

25:11 - I got the Azeron, the Mouse Sliders and the Mouse. Loving the setup! I copied your setup and noticed that you have Slot 4 listed twice on your pinky. Was this on purpose? Thank you for all that you do!
OHHHHHH YEAAAAH! You are setup! Give it some time and I'm sure you'll love it. The Azeron takes some time to learn, but its pretty amazing once you get comfortable with it and customize it so it fits like a glove. I do have SLOT 4 listed twice, and I really need to change that to be a toggle mic option for the push forward pinky switch, because I never use it anymore. When I first started I kept fumbling the slot 4 down press and sometimes flicking forward and hitting the other switch, so I mapped them both to the same thing.

Mr. Shinobi, do you have any particular settings for your headset? Like any specific equalizer for playing? I got the hs80 from corsair but seem to struggle with sounds in fortnite, even using icue software with the fps setting, souds are suuuper loud, even hurt my ears. Great video regardless!
I don't - I have fancy audio software that comes with the steelseries arctis nova pro headset I use, but I use the default settings and sound is clear and crisp for me.

I don't use a keyboard because I hate them for gaming lol... I wouldn't be the person to ask. But I think you basically have to scrunch them in order to get all the keys bound and easily accessible.

Just got my cyborg, i only play zero build, have tried a few different binds but struggling to find comfort, im going to just pick something then stick to it and keep at it. Its a learning curve for sure.

Uh, I don't mess with my mouse settings in windows, its all default and acceleration is off. I run 800 dpi.

Shouldn't you play on Fullscreen mode istead of Windowed Fullscreen?
Also I don't think setting View Distance to Epic gives you advantage, cuz then it shows you a lot of foliage (like grass in the jungle). Meybe not in performance mode, but in directx mode it does.
I'm curious about your PC, cuz you said that this game is not well optimised and you got hitches. I had many hitches when i had my old PC i7-5280k and gtx1080 despite i have more than 180 fps, but these days when i play on 13700k and rtx4070 i have no hitches at all and i use directx 12 with let's say "medium" graphics quality. Meybe you should change pc or make clear instalation of OS.

"Fullscreen" actually allows my cursor to leave my screen to another monitor while accessing menus. Oddly, windowed full screen does not. Same issue for my friend.
I have a 3090ti and an i9-12900k... when streaming I have more issues on DX12 than I prefer, so I just run performance.
@@TobyWanShinobi i have same problem with fullscreen, so i move my other display to top right corner then i can't move my cursor on second monitor at all, but i don't tell you to do this since you prolly need to switch between monitors
100% on fingertips grip mouse. Can’t believe some don’t do it like that-is critical for fine control used for distant sniping.
I started Fortnite with auto picks off and highly recommend turning it on. The only way you’ll pick up junk because if your slots are empty, which is at the beginning of the game and you probably want to pick it up anyway.
How do I use the software for fortnite, I’ve been trying at this for 2 hours.
You have to map keybinds to match Fortnite keybinds. Also make sure your Azeron is fully plugged in, it plugs in further than it looks on the USB part of the device.

Looking online, it sounds like a bug.... they say to try importing, then export, and then import the new file you will get after export. Sorry for the delay on response, didn't see this!

It's an actual profile download for the azeron. You download and then import.
I tried to do this but got a message saying that “the profile JSON file is empty, there was nothing to import”

Nice video. When it first came out cumulative damage numbers would break aim assist on controller. It would create an invisible object that would block aim assist after a couple shots. They have probably patched it by this point but just something to be aware of for controller players.
It has been patched but I heard it was game breaking.
I feel like lot of PC players use Linear. Why is that?

Great video. I just got the Cyborg 2 and man those keys are SO SENSITIVE. I barely touch them and changes what I’m holding; build mats etc… It almost makes it unusable.
@thomydavid you just gotta take a good amount of time to make the cyborg fit your hand like a glove... once it's in the "perfect spot" it makes it so accidental key presses are rare.

I saw in the Azeron software settings you can program the buttons to do two things with one key press; example: hitting the button for Wall = Wall + Place Build. Or Double Press.
Are those considered “macros”? And does Fortnite allow that? I don’t want to get banned.
@thomydavid those are macros and by definition a competitive advantage that others can't get unless they are on PC and have a macro enabled device, or on console with a external device. They are considered cheating. But, from what I've heard they are undetectable and a lot of competitive builds players use them. I don't use macros and I wouldn't recommend it.

Reload is on my mouse side button. Activate / enter / open is on my mouse scroll wheel.

Didn’t know you were an Azeron player too! Your keybinds are similar to mine. I’m Zero Build but learning Builds.
There’s some other Azeron tricks you can do. In Builds people use mouse wheel up for Edit & Reset on the same keybind. You can set an Azeron key to Mouse wheel and even change its scroll speed. So instead of using the mouse scroll wheel it’s just one Azeron key.
I can send a screenshot of my Azeron keybinds if what I’m saying is confusing 😂

I just got an azeron, downloaded your profile and got all my key binds set up and everything, the thumb stick won’t move me though, any idea why? Been trying to figure it out for a while and can’t find a solid answer anywhere
If you look at the analog stick on the software there is a gear next to it... make sure to put it on WASD keyboard movement and not analog/joystick.
It was, I just finally fixed it, downloaded a firmware update, it was the same version, so it was more of a firmware reinstall than an update, but it works now, man this thing is gonna take some serious getting used to, I feel like a child right now with how bad I am haha but I’m excited! I just feel that the towers are exposed to damage during travelling but I don't want to regret my decision

I don't think the towers are THAT much better, but I would say they are a bit easier to reach without having to move your hand. I think you'll be happy with either. Compact would definitely be better for travel though without having to move the towers each time. You'll end up putting your less frequently used actions on your towers anyway.

I'm glad I got a cyborg mini but azeron put the wrong colored part on a button and didn't put the bottom colored pads and missing a couple rubber pads on the bottom fingers. Also I didn't get the restriction ring for the joystick. However I'm still happy but $350 for a custom pad and not getting exactly what I ordered is extremely upsetting.

Ah, a pity you became Azeron's partner only now. You were the one that tipped me over the fence into buying Cyborg. I did mention it in the feedback form but I don't think they will credit you any commissions. Mine looks almost exactly the same as yours, haha. I also wanted a mean discrete design without any colourful nonsense. I may have missed it, but I don't think you mentioned your mouse's DPI. The first 3 days of trying to find key binds that fit me, layouts and trying to remember them was a real struggle. I felt like a total idiot. I'd say casually playing for about a month is enough to get to about 90% of where I was with the keyboard in terms of hotkeying.
I like trackball mice for gaming with a mouse. Logitech mx ergo is a nice one.

@@MFBuddy_YT if you are not used to K&M, probably Azeron is your best bet. I've been on a keyboard since the early days of PCs but still, in games like Fortnite (especially build mode), I can't understand how people get done these crazy finger gymnastics with tons of keys to reach. Azeron will probably be easier to get used to for you. Don't forget to use Toby's code ;)

Here's a PROtip for you Tony.. get a cheap streming computer and offload your gamingcomputer, also if your computer crashes your stream will still be on. AND, you can choose to only stream your main screen and never have to worry about streaming other stuff.

Mice with lots of buttons usually have a lot of weight and not the best sensors, etc.
2 buttons will be great. 3 maybe. More - usually not going to be as great as you imagined. From personal experience. I was playing Fortnite builds with 3 builds assigned to my mouse side buttons + DPI button for edit... not that great. With Azeron I kept only 2 builds on side buttons.
