I’m playing Dragunity alongside Horus, pretty solid with monster negation and thanks to harbinger even s/t negation.
Fill the Gy is important for both archetypes and Zombie Vampire boosts it
Your insights really helped me out. I am doing a unique duel that will chain into the Anime Effects (ish, they never fully defined them) God Cards. I was looking for a nice themed engine and these are EXACTLY the cards I need for the tibutes.

Great video! With which other engine would you play Horus now?
Matt question regarding this deck, I play zarc so lets say they have KS on field with all the demi gods on the monster zone, could KS save them from ZARC effect activation on special summon? Or does KS can’t because it blows up from the rest of the field unable to trigger its effect to protect the demi gods?
Been trying out the Horus cards with Snakeeyes and its a freakin blast to play
I haven't looked at the snake eye stuff enough, just too high rarity for not enough reward in my eyes
@@MattOsheaYGO The Snakeeyes Stiff Themself is super cheap. 30-35€.
Diabelle and the Wanted i actually found a bit clunky and not worth the 7 Slots it occupies. Also makes you ACTUALLY lose to Droll.
She only exists to search the One for One type of card.
The interupts she can grab are nice but only turn 1. Also they require her to be left on field so you cant even use her for Snakeeyes eff to get more from deck and she occupies more space that vould be used for small bodies to Link summon shit.
Going Second she just sucks ass
Also at current Price point she is literally not worth the trouble.
Another Counter I found that I don’t think you mentioned is Necrovalley- as Necrovalley shuts down any effects that tamper with the position of cards in the graveyard, rendering King’s Sarcophagus useless.
Which really sucks given the thematic compatibility between Horus and Gravekeepers
I want to add Galaxy-Eyes to the list. You don't even need to play the Galaxy-Eyes engine if you don't want to. You can simply use the Horus engine to go into Number 62 and C62, Full Armor Photon, Draglubion, Hope Harbinger and more. 🙂
Yeah that's true! Any rank 8 deck would love Horus and galaxy fits that!

Its fine in dark world but the sending to GY is not a discard and it's cost so it won't trigger dark world effects
@@MattOsheaYGO yeah only downside, but still could be useful for the 8s and just more board presence; as well as cards like grapha which just kinda need to be in the grave, don’t need the discard effect
Ogdoadic makes good use of Horus. Horus engine can get rid of the dead bricks while reptile pile has level 8 extenders themselves alongside synchro options, and the deck itself having lots of gy recursion.
Zombies too.
Love it! Don't know much about ogdoadic, but anything with level 8s, and that needs help to unclog hands would pair well with horus!
Been trying the engine with ogdoadic to keep making saryuja and coach king to cycle through cards to make vennominaga
It would be good deck for yugioh gx character name abidos would use those archetype
horus can summon baronne, photon lord, dingirisu and other stuff so it's cool

like how they got rid of a gy focu engine(ishizu cards) just to replace it with another gy focused engine(horus)
Play lvl 8 dangers with them and lvl 2 to make a bunch synchro 10s and rank 8 xyzs
Yeah 8 axis as a deck is a ton of fun! I'm excited to see what we get when the next YCS ends

Usually you'd play 3 imsety, 2 kings Sarc, 1 Hapi at the bare minimum

I don’t think they are supposed to be linked or xyzed off I think if you just have all of them on the board together with sarcophagus they are pretty untouchable and can just overpower most boards without negates
That's fair, they are good on their own, but Im confident we will see them to get extra deck access

@@pwdakota94 lol, sure! So, there are a ton of rank 8s that have a huge amount of utility. Imagine protecting your combo from Nibiru with Galaxy Eyes Photon Lord, or getting monsters in the GY with Zombie Vampire. That alone is going to have a lot of application to extend your plays. Having the Horus monsters on field is likely less valuable than the negates + the rest of your deck's end board
@@MattOsheaYGO but say you were going second and just made a full Horus board what would be the point in making anything if you have a full board of strong monsters that are almost unaffected by anything
@@pwdakota94 in earlier Yugioh, absolutely, but there are tons of ways to get rid of these bodies without non targetting destruction. Banishing with mirrorjade, baronne destruction, unchained link summoning away, etc.
Right now, having a board that prevents your opponent from doing what they want to do is arguably better than having a bunch of hard to kill monsters
