@@rjb7569 That was the very first show (of MANY!) of his that I've been to. Yes, I was living in Union at that time, and was already a big fan of his music. The most ironic thing is that I thought I was the ONLY one in my whole 800+ graduating class of Union High that was into his artistry, and that they were all into ONLY the 'go to' expected usual; Zeppelin, Stones, Doors, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, etc., etc. But then at the Seton Hall show a year or so after that Capital show, there were MANY of my fellow classmates waiting in line to get into that gym to see him and Linda!! 😁

Years back after a bitter and sad divorce for me. I went back to see the new owners of the home that was once mine. I walked the property to show the new owners where my past pets were buried. I now know that life and living are temporary no matter where you rest your head.
I even think that those living in my childhood home now (and all of those even before them) do not even have a clue as to the history, and all of the living that went on there long before they moved in. 😪

Thank you for this song. My mother passed away at 93 last month. My three brothers and I inherited our family home which Is full of memories but now sits sadly empty.
Sorry for your loss. May your mother's memory be a blessing. Where is the house? Perhaps you and your brothers will rent or sell it to someone who appreciates its good vibrations.
Condolences to your family. One of you should move in your childhood home & have many years of new celebrations, reunions, Birthdays & of course great memories. How cool would it be for your kids or nephews & nieces to go to your alma mater.
Thank you for everything. Thank you today for sharing this beautiful version of a great song. Thank you for all the other contributions of songs to various benefit streams over the past year; they have made the enforced isolation more bearable. Thank you for your deadication to environmental and social justice causes throughout your career. Oh yes, thank you for pursuing the music and sharing your gift and hard work with us for so many years.
Jackson Browne... you and your poetry have carried me through many trying AND happy times God bless you and people like you who care enough to share your insight into what is real. Thank you also for teaching us to care for mother earth. Thank you.
Wow! What a beautiful rendition of a poignant song written at such a tender age. If Bob Dylan can get a Nobel Prize for a lifetime of lyrics what does Jackson B need to do?
I saw Jackson play this as his encore when he opened for Linda Ronstadt at the Troubadour in 1972. I was 19. It has always been my favorite song in his canon and I am so pleased he posted this new version. It is so inspiring that he is still playing it nearly 50 years later--and it still moves me in the same way it did that night at the Troub so many years ago.
Alan- that show must have been outta sight...JB then Ronstadt, the first two artists signed to form Asylum Records. David Geffen sure recognized talent
By the time that I had seen them together at Seton Hall University, about a year after that Troubadour show, it was a CO-BILL, with no one designated as an opener. STILL one of the best concerts I've ever attended, along with the same CO-BILL at Carnegie Hall in Manhattan that same year!
Thank you for playing this song Jackson. It profoundly touched my life so many moons ago. Chief Crazyhorse once said “we as people can save our Mother Earth if only we care to try” May we all heed those words. Wishing you well in your concerts and travels 💕
I deeply appreciate getting to know you through these very personal videos Jackson....thank you for sharing your stories along with your masterpieces xo
Oh! How many times this song played on my turntable in my teenage years. Jackson, your words and music have helped me so much throughout my life. I thank you for that and for the hug I asked for and received from you March 17, 1996 (The Township, Columbia, SC). I sent everyone Christmas cards that Christmas with our picture taken that night and the words "Dreams Do Come True"! LOL. Love you...

Thank you so much for your love of those who need someone to stand up for those who are lost, forgotten, at risk of death from evil rulers of the countries where human lives mean nothing. You have never feared standing for what is right. I've been listening to you since 1976. I have seen you so many times in concert. I just love the way your music speaks love and compassion. Thank you for just being a wonderful man who truly has a desire to help others.
Thank you so much for sharing this song and your back story of it with us. I was slightly worried before clicking the video that I might not feel the familiar warmth which I came to love, during my first years of getting to know your music back when I was in my twenties. As it would happen, this song (as with the others) it sounds like barely a few years has passed, and the warmth and emotion is still there. Thank you ever so much for reminding us of these wonderful feelings brought on by your music. May your days still be as good as ever. My heartfelt best wishes to all of you.

An old song, but one of his very, very best. First I heard this, I knew this guy is a genius.
Singing the truth.. your life is art and your song is alive with beauty. Thanks for sharing, friend.
Love your deep sensitivity and beautiful soul. Wish I had known you, but I only know who you are through your music. Thank you , Jackson for being a part of my life. You will never know what your music meant to me all of my life.
Well put.
Same here ❣
Can't find the words other than to say THANKYOU to Jackson and Greg. This entire album was a revelation and so evocative.
when he gets to...are you ready to fly...my heart soars every time...not quite sure why because I love the whole song. Perhaps I've got some flying of my own to do. JB never fails to make you think and feel and that is what I love about his music.
Years back after a bitter and sad divorce for me. I went back to see the new owners of the home that was once mine. I walked the property to show the new owners where my past pets were buried. I now know that life and living are temporary no matter where you rest your head.
I could listen to Jackson talk about his music all day. What a talented man.
Always yearned to go inside the old house I grew up in around the years of grade school. In fact dream about it. Wonderful song.
I even think that those living in my childhood home now (and all of those even before them) do not even have a clue as to the history, and all of the living that went on there long before they moved in. 😪
Your music makes me calm in the midst of this crazy world. Thank you ❤️
..yes. !! his music
Touches my core
Says. CALM ..
I would call this a perfect song.
“Here I stand at the edge of my embattled illusions, looking into you “ …“ words and music will never touch the beauty that I’ve seen, looking into you” ❤️❤️
Listened to this song over and over at 13 and here listening to it again at 60. So blessed to have this music in my life. Thank you Sir.
Thank you for this song. My mother passed away at 93 last month. My three brothers and I inherited our family home which Is full of memories but now sits sadly empty.
Sorry for your loss. Cherish the memories and smile.
Hugs
Sorry for your loss. May your mother's memory be a blessing. Where is the house? Perhaps you and your brothers will rent or sell it to someone who appreciates its good vibrations.
It is sad seeing the memories left in a family home. Bless you❤️
Condolences to your family.
One of you should move in your
childhood home & have many
years of new celebrations, reunions,
Birthdays & of course great memories. How cool would it be for
your kids or nephews & nieces to
go to your alma mater.
Love this song! Continues to be one of my favorites after all these years.
Well said!

Thats true ❗
Jackson Browne... you and your poetry have carried me through many trying AND happy times God bless you and people like you who care enough to share your insight into what is real. Thank you also for teaching us to care for mother earth. Thank you.
Wow! What a beautiful rendition of a poignant song written at such a tender age. If Bob Dylan can get a Nobel Prize for a lifetime of lyrics what does Jackson B need to do?
Thanks Jackson for the years and all the hours, 'listening to you'
I saw Jackson play this as his encore when he opened for Linda Ronstadt at the Troubadour in 1972.
OMG that is Fantastic.....What a Memory Mate.
I imagine his stories are all masterpieces…. Love him, just as always.❤️
LOL. Love you...
J
Jackson Browne remains a yardstick for living. He remains a poet for my generation and future generations if they are wise enough to listen.
Beautiful music from a beautiful man is a precious gift. I am so humbled.... never stop the music; it's the only thing I can cling to to help me hold on and trust.
Words and music will never touch the beauty that I’ve seen, looking into you Jackson. And that’s true. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your beautiful lyrics and songs. They are part of the tapestry of my life, the better part of it for sure 🙏🙏
👍💜❣
50-years i’ve been listening to your music, and hearing so much more every passing decade.
thank you for this. -C
We all return to that house one day . . . Thanx for the beauty Jackson ~
Jb
Your quality of your beautiful voice has not changed at all since I attended your 1st concert in 1976 at Western Kentucky University
Thank God your st I'll creative songs are flowing
I love this. And you, Jackson Browne, since 1973. You always had a way of expressing my inner broken parts, help me cry, and slowly heal. Yours, Jody
These live sessions are jewels - precious and rare. The old songs and the brand new all just shimmer. So grateful to Jackson Browne. His music has buoyed me all my life - still does
JB's voice has remained amazingly tuneful throughout the years. This song's a gem.
One of my very favorite songs oh ugh the style and form of the writing just really I don't know they just DO what they are supposed to- I remember at 14 being so enamored with the whole song which has changed and deepened in meaning over my own course of aging-I've heard this song nearly every day for 44 years now along with other JB songs.
What a treat on waking up on a rainy Saturday in Ireland - keep them coming, Jackson and Greg - pure, timeless class 👏
Same in Hamburg...
Reading the comments while listening to the song, I realized how deeply that everyone feels about JB. We. Are. Blessed. Beyond. All. Understanding. Thanks Jackson.
Some people can just sing the phone book and it makes you emotional
Jackson is definitely one of those people...
This was one of your teenage songs, wow....It still amazes me how wonderful your writing has been since you were a kid! I just love it when people are truly gifted like this.
Way to go, Jackson... keep singing, man... carry me home... just up the road in Monterey.
This tune sealed the deal with my future wife. Thanks Jackson.❤️
"All the walls and the windows are still standing." Don't know why but that line always gives me goosebumps.
Yes, same here, because it is as if he expected them to be crumbling, with a resultant forlorn feeling, and was very pleasantly surprised to find them "still standing".
so sad that this generation will never know his music and its amazing stories!! i am 65, went to many concerts, and made sure my daughter, now 22 knows what TRULY GREAT music is. God bless you for all you have given so many !!
“Now here I stand at the edge of my embattled illusions, looking into you”.
😭 Every. Time.
His lyrics 'get to me' with that opening line, let alone all of the other gems in this, and all of his other songs.
I work with 20 something's, who had never heard good music
So I played some ...Dr my eyes , the pretender
Fantastic memories of good music !
Glad to hear you haven't missed a beat .
I'm as impressed today as much as the girl of my youth .
Still as cute as you were .... 💟. Well done .
Jackson Browne’s songs reach into my soul and I feel the warmth and love in his lyrics and music. I’m approaching 71 and “Looking into You” ministers to me. It helps me look back and reflect on my relationships with people who have blessed me across life’s path, which have made life beautiful and meaningful. And I’m so grateful. Thank you, Jackson. God bless you.
👍
Jackson speaks and sings to my soul.. we are 'giving up' or selling our old homestead soon. That's hard to do, so many dreams there, so many memories, i thought i would live out the rest of my days there, but I was "just a guest" as he says in this song. So happy to hear him singing his truths
Looking back at you... Deep appreciation for thoughtful lyrics and beautiful melodies over the decades, for concerts, for songs that held memories for you and created new memories for us. Memories of places we have been when we heard your songs, and they became our songs, our anthems, our music, looking into you. Much love and respect to you, Jackson.
You do not have to open a book to enjoy poetry, just listen to J.B. +++++
Reminds me of my brother so much ...he was such a fan of Jacksons thank you JBalways a pleasure xxxx
Mr. Jackson Browne, your song , " Looking into You" ; most likely brought back memories, for all of us, about the house, in which we gew up . It's Beautiful and Heartfelt. Thank you, , for sharing this homage, to your childhood with us. Your voice, has not changed since your very First Album. You are Beautiful, Thank you, so very much 🏡🏞🌄🏁🇺🇸 Kindly, jan. :)
Wow ...thank you Jackson and Greg ..beautiful song and Jackson, you have been so blessed with your voice. I have been listening to you for years and you still have a gorgeous sound.💜
“Words and music will never touch the beauty that I’ve seen, looking you”... Jackson Browne is truly a National treasure. Thank you so much for sharing your gift, and reminding us to love one another. Throughout this pandemic, Jackson has shared his talents from his home, and has satisfied our need to hear that truth, love, and understanding still exists in this not so perfect world. Thanks so very much Jackson.
Seems too few folks comment on is the instrumention you choose for each song- they really are paintings Jackson, auditory masterpieces.

Artistic Masterpiece’s as the “ Paint the Portrait of Jackson’s life,. Beautiful colours with vision within his lyrics 🌟
Great JB, haven't seen your face for ages, now I see your face has changed a lot, but your lovely signature voice got even better. God bless you JB.
Words and music that continue to ring true all these years later. Wow. It’s like a soft pillow you can always lay ur head on. Simple truths that anyone can relate to.
My God the man still has it...so great.
This song still brings tears to my eyes, but for different reasons than it used to back in the 70's. Keep on rockin♥ I'd love to wander around that room and look at your books:)
omg I'm bawling my eyes out. Always a favorite song, performed today by Jackson with such depth of feeling, blew me away. Thank you, Jackson. See you in August!
Many years of joy brought to my soul by Jackson Browne. Thank you.
HOME IS THE HEART. Where I grew up I too went back, to Villa Park, Big Home that my dad built. I still feel like it is mine. Ironically near JB's Fullerton home.
The creator has blessed us with messengers...they awakening our bindled thoughts when roads are dusted by stiff side winds. These words fill spaces that have run empty and remind me of a place I called Home.
Thank you Mr. Browne
💙 sooo true!
