- IIn each episode of DiResta (every other Wednesday), artist and master builder Jimmy DiResta (Dirty Money, Hammered, Against the Grain, Trash for Cash) lets us into his workshop, to look over his shoulder while he builds whatever strikes his fancy.
In this episode, Jimmy goes modular and builds a rolling tool cabinet for his shop from the ground up. Read more at MAKE: makezine.com/video/diresta-rol...

I missed a DiResta video back in November, how exciting! It's like finding some money in old pair of pants......
no matter how many of your videos i watch your craftsmanship always amazes me
These videos are so amusing. I can't stop watching them
That would have taken me three weeks and 5 stitches. You're my hero Jimmy!
Great ideal, great execution. When space is a premium, I know what it's like to have to juggle stuff around to have more. This solves storage and space problems! Top work!
I really enjoy the diresta builds. Always very cool.
Absolutely love these videos, Jimmy is such a resourceful and creative guy. I hope Make Mag has him around for a long time to come.
Thank you ! very much !
Always amazing! Thanks Jimmy for sharing your creative skills, you are truly a fantastic artist!
Another great build!

just an amazing guy! so simple but amazing build. no complications, just in an out!
The part where you arranged everything into it was fantastic. AWESOME planning.
Love it, Love it, Love it! Gonna try and make my own. You are an inspiration!
Always good viewing, thanks
Fun video to watch. Fantastic finished product. Inspiration at its best. I noticed two people gave the video thumbs down. What ever could they have seen to generate a negative response. Loved the vid and the cabinet. ROG
Love the track saw got one coming can’t wait to use it gonna build some shop cabinets.
I would pay to see jimmy organize his new york shop , like clean as hell like this cabinet
Rock and Roll brother! Love all your videos!
cheers
-Ian
Love shop organization videos. plus the lock helps keep the tools from walking off,lol
Very cool as always, Jimmy. I would love to see a DiResta folding knife all homemade!
Excelente trabajo! Gracias por compartir.
First thing o though when I watched this was that I need to spraypaint my power tools. Real nice job on the project and the video.
I like that this guy's so neat and exact. Professionalism.
I just built 2 of these, and love being able to roll these out of the way,,, or, closer to the work.
Mine have to roll out of a boxvan, on to jobsites,, so 5'10" was the max height, by 2' deep,, But I did make them 6' wide. Next 2 will get 4" casters thou,, 3" wheels struggle on uneven surfaces,, especially when the cabinet is loaded.
Great vids Jimmy. Looking forward to seeing your other YT project vids.
PS.. the "dirty" bent hinge trick was golden.
Thanks for sharing! Great video!!!

Maestro...! ...Gracias, Gracias, Gracias...!!!
This was a great video to watch
Oh my god! that is an awesome project.
Awesome Jimmy.
i am so amaze of this man work. keep it up man!!
If like to see one of his builds in real time also. Speeding up is cool, and sometimes, showing the process is cool too.
Actually, I ended up here while looking for 'wall' cabinet ideas, but when I saw the DiRest name on one, I just had to look. Glad I did. I'll be using that hinge bending option in the very near future (thanks!).
I'd be very interested to know what the naysayers Didn't like about this build.... Thanks again, Jimmy!
Nice job! Looks very good
Sweet. That's a nice cabinet.
awesome as always Jimmy! and it's encouraging to me to see that I would have built it the exact same way. The simple mod on the hinges was a great touch, definitely adding that idea to my book of tricks
Super cool tool cabinet.
Nice tool cabinet.... Lots of storage space.
Love ur work Bro!
Brilliant!
You make it look so easy...
Awesome tool cabinet! I will take two please! Ha Ha, Thanks for sharing.

Awesome vídeo!!!!!
Con todas las herramientas, puedes hacer cosas sorprendentes...
awesome 90 degree vise thing
Hey, its something that I could possibly make! Great video as always. And it seems you use a tool in each episode that I cant identify right away.
soo making one of this!
Makes me miss wood shop
I know this video is fast forwarded but still god damn you built this so efficiently
Jimmy, you really did it again!! I love the videos that you made. I am really impressed. How in the world did you get the ideas?
Who are the idiots that keep pressing the thumbs down button. They must be hitting the button by mistake. Can't stand negative people. You are the best on the internet hands down. Anyone that disagrees is ignorant.
+Johnny Faber Thank you for that !!
Johnny Faber it's not ignorance, its an opinion if you've ever heard if one of those
Nope. Something like art is based on opinion, but craftsmanship speaks for itself, and Jimmy is the master.
Watching this video is so funny because one of my co workers just spray painted all of his tools, so every one can know they are his, and the only paint around was some white gutter touch up paint. Crazy!
Oh, that's too sweet. And I mean that in a good way.
Like a boss!
Very nice cabinet. And I really like that kind of time lapse or fast motion or however it is the name of that technique to record and edit the video.
Another top notch video Jimmy.
Has any one asked where you buy those white drills that work upside down, or the rubber tipped push stick that seems to be an extension to your arm? We can't buy them over here in the UK.
Keep it up, well done.
Man!! Wot you done with them hinges, wow
Awesome cabinet! What kind of gloves do you use? I work with a lot of reclaimed wood and the usual big construction gloves make it difficult to grab screws or any other small tools.
Few phew phew phew and You've got yourself a Rolling Tool Cabinet.
That looks like a nice simple way to make doors. I wonder if they've stood the test of time or have they warped?
Really nice finished project!
I don't think I've seen that track saw before. Is this a new addition to your arsenal?
Nice, but if the hinges are on the outside it is easy to get into it simply by unscrewing them, so the lock is not much use...
Locks only stop honest people, who would also not dismantle your cabinet to get inside it.
But all the screwdrivers are stored inside the locked tool cabinet, of course...! :)
TheCrazyInventor Good point!
nice hinge mod !
Hey Jimmy, amazing work as usual. Where did you get the drawers that you put inside the tool cabinet?
it looks like Diresta needs to order his plywood by the stack, but it's all different kinds if I ain't mistaken!
I'm curious about your outfeed table behind the Table Saw. It looks like a sacrificial top? At least, I've seen you cutting directly on it in other videos. Is is 1" foam, or is it a sheet of Plywood or ??
I also have a small shop and learned long ago that four swivelling wheels are the only way to go. Often people put two fixed and two swivel on a cabinet, but that does not work in tight spaces.
Thanks for the video, enjoyed it!
respect from morocco
I need something, I go to IKEA.
Jimmy needs something, he builds it.
Такое впечатление, что он такой шкаф за пол-часа - час делает. Хорошая работа.
Looking to build my own. Can we get a cut list or something of the sort... Overall size? Thanks for he help and great build
indeed
If anyone's interested in the drills, its the Milwaukee M18 Lithium, I believe.
DiResta what is the name/brand of this angled drilling tool. The one you use to make holes in angles.
Thank you.
Mario.
