im watching this tut for the more than 15th times im pumped more than 15 times.. when im losing hope i come back to this pumping tut. Thanks Andrey most people dont share kind of knowledge even those who created octane they couldnt teach to this level
you can't find a tutorial like this on UA-cam, explaining Channels in material one by one .this is great, this is kind of tutorials can be said "i wish i saw it earlier"
I've been recently getting into learning about Octane and C4D and have felt so overwhelmed by not understanding how the different nodes work, when to use them and why, etc. Thank you so much for this tutorial - this has been exactly what I've been looking for. If you ever did a more in depth course on this or something related to your texturing/rendering process, I'd absolutely pay for it. Thank you for the amazing content, really glad I found your channel! :)
Thank you so much for this. I'm an advertising photographer trying to strengthen my future by learning 3D, and this was the only tutorial I could find that explained it in a decent way. Hugely appreciative.
Hello, Andrey. I would say this tutorial is spectacular. This is the most useful and most detailed video about node material I have ever seen. Millions thanks to you, have a good day.
Getting into octane. Made a mess of my first material, spent hours trying to get a gradient, so glad I found this video, but this really helps! Good work
I have a feeling like his life is a big greenscreen and hard work behind computer to basically create his own world behind him. So awesome work. BIG fan dude!
Hi Andrey, I've watch your tutorials for some time now, just subscribed to octane about a week ago and was looking for a tutorial about octane materials as I've just switched from standard render and material editing is what was making me go back to standard over and over again, this is a career changing switch.
Wow, this one is the best of best of tutorials for Octane I have never seen before, I was struggling to find tutorial covering all these points.very useful. Please keep going, you are amazing man!
Ah! Finally :) Thank you very much for this, this is so helpful! Now what i'd love to see, is one of your work, explained form A to Z, too much tutorials on the internet show you the final result but actually show how to do the first 50%. So beginners or intermediate still have no idea how to achieve a great great result. But for a start, i'm going to do 2L of coffee and learn nodes now.
Haha, glad to hear your inspired to dive deep :) As for the tutorials... well, mostly they (and I) don't show it because it's the same work showed in the first 50% but stretched over several hours. Refining, adjusting things... There's no point recording it if you already showed and explained it. What might be hidden is post-production though. I'll do a video about that with some tricks ;) Thank you for the comment mate
I agree with your point of view, but for beginners it's a process with mysteries because we don't really know what we do and what's going to happen when we tweak. So seeing a pro along all that process would be crucial for me at least, because finally i'll get to understand and SEE how we get from meh to wow in a concrete example. And i know it's all about refining. But some folks need to know what to do to refine in the good direction! Maybe it would be a long and boring tuto, i give you that! :) Anyway, it's just a feedback of a person who wants to learn how to get better. And i already thank you for what you teach. Greetings from Canada my friend!
Awesome tutorial dude, keep 'em coming! Can you make a detailed one on how to create and render the concrete road and the glowing marbles of the realistic textures tutorial? That'd be super cool, thanks!
Pretty Sure I will njoy the shared knowledge. Did not watched the tutorial yet but wanted to give quick response and be the first comment so ;d sorry. Wondering since your workhouse has invested so much in GPUs, what are the inner opinions about other GPU renderers like Redshift ?
Thank you for the question. While I think Redshift is more suitable for big productions and demanding scenes, Octane is faster and is physically correct (unbiased). All the advantages that competitors might have (Like AI denoiser for instance) will be implemented in Octane in upcoming releases. To be fair to Redshift and other engines, I haven't used them PROPERLY in the real production environment. I believe it's better to stick with one system, one workflow and improve yourself in it consistently, rather than jump around experimenting. We did have challenges with vRAM limits on a project involving tens of unique complex buildings, but it was solved by structured and planned optimisation. We've been able to render areas with all the plants, buildings, cars and people. Unless I see something truly revolutionary, we won't switch from Octane. The only Redshift benefit I see is no memory restrictions. Which is a temporary problem for Octane with fast-evolving GPU technologies :)
Охренительные туториалы. Даже если где-то чего-то не понимаешь - все равно интересно! Может подскажешь какие-нибудь классные курсы или туториалы, чтобы в будущем настолько же шарить в подобных вещах и заниматься подобным? =)
Not even 10 minutes in and i'm already in love with your methodology and speaking skill! Very clear, very on point!

Man, you are a BEAST, only step by step tutorial in the whole internet. Clear and “simple” explanations!
Thank you so much for this. I'm an advertising photographer trying to strengthen my future by learning 3D, and this was the only tutorial I could find that explained it in a decent way.
Hugely appreciative.
Just got into VFX and motion design. I honestly learn SO MUCH from these tutorials. Thank you so much for sharing it!
