- The Orchestra at The Phantom Of The Opera in London saw a Tweet from Andrew Lloyd Webber playing “All I Ask Of You” from isolation. As a response to this, every member of the orchestra individually contributed a video, audio or photo from isolation to show their support and respect for Andrew.
Can we just appreciate how an ENTIRE ORCHESTRA came together to create this? I love the performing arts community
I really love it what they have done
Truly amazing what we humans can do with ...talent and technology. We can overcome barriers. Thank you.
Just a little proud of my mad brother at top left who pulled all this together.
Philip Bain GREAT BIG ❤️THANK YOU TO YOUR INSANELY CREATIVE BROTHER!!!!!!
Philip Bain you should be 😊
That's very sweet of you Philip! x
@@chrisbain3958 Hi Chris Bain. This is amazing!! I am very interested to understand how you managed the latency issues inherent in our network infrastructure. I am in a band and we would like to do this for our neibourhood. Do you have any advice on the apps or software required to pull this off on a much smaller scale? Thanks in advance.
And rightly so!
Love this! Are we not gonna talk about the trombonist dressed up as the Phantom?! High quality content right here. Beautifully played! Love this orchestra!
Glad somebody noticed!
This is exactly what I was thinking! I didn't have to scroll too far down to see someone mention it so that's good.
Lol. I was thinking the same thing.
I love the French horn player reading a book until half way through!
yes he slyed love trumpets so much!!!
About 18 months ago I was going through aggressive cancer treatment. Occasionally, we’d have a Clarinetist come into the cancer center and play for us while we were receiving out treatment. I never actually saw who was playing but the beautiful music filled the halls. They always started with All I Ask Of You. It’s such a beautiful memory from such a dark time in my life.
This is the most beautiful thing I’ve seen since the beginning of the quarantine. ❤️
Absolutely!!! Thank you to all you talented people. I wave back to you!👋
Its very special indeed...i think we were all touched by this Andrew's lovely initial contribution... And this was a lovely answer to say we are all thinking of him...
I agree with you 100%!!! ❤ to all from California!
I agree. Brought tears to my eyes, it’s so beautiful.
Wonderful, tears in my eyes!!!
You made me cry. Again. Stay home. Stay safe. All of you. Greetings from Greece.
Also from Greece. Also made me cry and whisper the lyrics.
not from greece but im half greek and this also made me cry :)
From Florida USA too.💕
Hello from Ireland🇮🇪😊 stay safe
@@tinakyriazis4491 hello patrida! Stay safe!
They should get a pay raise...
indeed am with u in this
also please check my video singing the part on this video

They're not getting paid now.
If you've seen Andrew's original video all the way to the end, he confesses that he can't play this in the original D♭ anymore, so he transposed it to C. So I assume the orchestra had to do the same. Not easy.
These musicians are incredibly skilled. They could probably transpose it in their head with relative ease.
@@adam4757 It depends on the musicians and their instruments. It depends on the way they were taught as well.
Depends on how much theory you know. :)
This might come off as ignorant, but why can't he play it in Db anymore if it's on piano?
It’s a half step down lmao that’s not hard at all
I love the grandiose cymbal crash🤣 So pretty, I love this song
My brother and I sing this song together from our fence down the street, and it echoes in a super fun way, sometimes we get people in the apartment complex across from us to look out on their balconies at us😂
Hey Ashley! I’m the bro she mentioned lel
Please video that😂
scream fanatic, I’m gunna
Ashley McCutcheon totally the best bit!! Love this to bits tho!! Can’t stop playing it! Keep singing!
Well keep up the good work 🇮🇪😊
This is absolutely gorgeous. I read "Phantom of the Opera" for the first time late last year and recently had the privilege of discovering this song... I fell in love with it immediately. All I Ask of You has and continues to profoundly move me; for this I am incredibly grateful. Thank you for allowing beauty to inspire you to make this wonderful work of art. Through this piece-- the words, the instruments, even the silence of it-- I, in my early teenage years, have experienced in some small way what true, pure and unconditional love looks like. Thank you 💕
Same, only I’ve been exploring it all since reading the book two weeks ago
Julia Martin Watch the 25th Anniversary production of Phantom of The Opera at the Royal Albert Hall, it’s the greatest cast ever assembled. You’ll love it.
Julia Martin I would love to read the book! I know there are a lot of different versions, any recommendations?
@@thatperformer3879 Thank you so much! It was the first recording that I ever watched and I absolutely loved it. The colours, vocals, acting... it's so perfect.
@@purplebrownie5175 Hi there! I don't own any copies of the book, so I can't say that I'm able to suggest the best version, but I did listen to a really wonderful audio recording of Phantom by Libravox. You can find the one with the readers I listened to at the UA-cam channel "Full Audiobooks". I believe there is a alternate recording from Libravox with different readers at the channel "Greatest Audiobooks". I hope this helps! Enjoy 😁
I just sent this video to my friends. I don't know who could listen to it and not believe that the world will survive. Thank you all for the courage and hope your gifts bring to us.
"MUSIC -- the only art of Heaven we bring to earth and the only art of earth we take back"
No more talk of darkness
Forget these wide-eyed fears
I'm here, nothing can harm you
My words will warm and calm you
Let me be your freedom
Let daylight dry your tears
I'm here, with you, beside you
To guard you and to guide you
Say you love me every waking moment
Turn my head with talk of summertime
Say you need me with you now and always
Promise me that all you say is true
That's all I ask of you
Let me be your shelter
Let me be your light
You're safe, no one will find you
Your fears are far behind you
All I want is freedom
A world with no more night
And you, always beside me
To hold me and to hide me
Then say you'll share with me one love, one lifetime
Let me lead you from your solitude
Say you need me with you, here beside you
Anywhere you go, let me go too
Christine, that's all I ask of you
Say you'll share with me one love, one lifetime
Say the word and I will follow you.
Share each day with me
Each night, each morning
Say you love me!
Raoul
You know I do
Anywhere you go, let me go to
Love me, that's all I ask of you

Thank you so much Andrew and to everyone who took part, a real delight, and well done for the joy you are giving in these difficult times.
This was so beautiful, to see all of the phantom orchestra come together to make such beautiful music. So beautiful ot made me cry.❤❤
I want to summon the whole of the planet to see this! ENCORE!
I live in Canada.
And I`m a fan of the Phantom of the Opera.
Today I heard the most beautiful Phantom of the Opera performance in the world.
Thank you and everyone Stay healthy and strong!
This song always makes me cry.. without fail!!
I choked up listening to it, but I was also humming along! I love Phantom, and this song as well!
My husband played this (piano) for our daughter's wedding. This virtual version makes me cry even more because as I watched I wasn't even nervous that he would a mistake....not a professional musician, but plays the most beautiful versions of the songs I love. He's a keeper and so is this video.
This is the best piece of music I have heard during this incredible time. I have listened to and watched this clip over and over today. I don't see what else can surpass this beautiful 2020 rendition...
Tears in my eyes...Remembering the good days.. I saw Phantom five times on Broadway...It never gets old.. Who knows when we'll be able to see a play (so close together) in a real theater again...
The way music connects us is so beautiful ♥️. People, we are in this together!!! Love from Greece 🇬🇷
Have watched repeatedly (and get goosebumps each time). Thank you for sharing
This brightened my day after my show got cancelled. :)
And I thought Sir Andrew's vid was the most beautiful thing I've seen! Thank you, guys. You are all magnificent & I adore you all, from the ones in PJs to those in full formal gear (even as the Phantom!). Thank you for the laughter, the tears & the spirit soaring. God bless you all.
I am tearing when listening to this in this hard time. Thank you very much, we all need good music.
What a beautiful, touching gesture! Well done everybody! We, the public, are the privileged benefactors of this wonderful result. Thank you.
That brought tears to my eyes. We're all in this together...❤
This made me cry. It was so lovely. Thank you for pulling together to share this.
The French horn reading the book omg
Why change the habit of brass pit life. 😁
Joey Chan at 0:40! At the very right hand corner
That cracked me up so much. I was waiting to see which instrument he played. Brass or percussion
OMG yes! He made my day.

Couldn't help but tear up and sing along. Beautiful. Simply beautiful.
This was so beautiful! You can really tell how much work they put into their art! Please stay safe too!
BEAUTIFUL! This made my day more lighter amidst the chaos around! Thanks to the wonder of technology and most especially to the talent and skill of these artists
This is absolutely gorgeous. You could put that out as a recording and nobody would guess you were each at home.
Shines a light on the wonderful orchestrations by David Cullen, and the fab musicians. Bravo.
This what I need in these quarantine :")
Blooming heck! That was Brilliant! Would loved to have joined in but, I wasn't aware of this collaboration. The artists were all wonderful. What a beautiful time we're living thru this dark era! Congratulations to each and every one of you, esp the Mr LW, oh, and the cat!
This is BEAUTIFUL!!! And sooo needed ❤️ thank you all you talented people!
This is just so beautiful to watch and hear. Lord Lloyd-Webber indeed. Thank you so very much.

I never expect watching an orchestra playing my favourite music while on isolation. Thank you Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber for coming up such a brilliant idea.
why am I getting emotional?? this is really beautiful, thank you so much :')
Just when I thought watching Sir ALW playing piano was the best thing ever, uou guys made it even better. Bravo and thank you
PLEASE do more of these!
I first saw the Andrew Webber solo and thought that was as good as it gets, but now this----thank You for lifting all our spirits !
I love this so much! Seeing the violinist all dressed up in his tuxedo made me cry!
Brought me to tears. Thank you, all the way from lockdown in India. One of my favourite songs of all time. Feel free in my heart even if we can’t go outside. And most definitely connected to all of us going through this together
this made me cry. much better than all those celebs singing imagine
I played bassoon at the Kennedy Center and your bassoonist played standing up. Kudos. I sing opera. Your bassoonist deserve a a bonus.
Thank you. Crescendo bless all of you!
"As a response to this, every member of the orchestra individually contributed a video, audio or photo from isolation to show their support and respect for Andrew."
I wonder how Andrew plans on showing his support and respect to the 13 musicians who will no longer have a job with the show when it re-opens.
I think the chopping of the west end orchestra has much more more to do with Cameron Mackintosh and his bean counting. Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber has been going on about how proud he is that the full orchestra will remain on Broadway. I’m sure much credit goes to the musicians union too!
I love these. I especially enjoyed the bassoonist. I played the bassoon in high school (50 years ago), and I never get tired of hearing that sound. Thanks.
Best musical ever conceived. It will never be replaced.
I wish I could like this a million times! Just beautiful, thankyou so much for the Joy. 🥰🙏🏻
Such a beautiful song!! Truly an inspiration to me in these trying times, thank you for sharing 🙂

Beautifully lifting my soul in this difficult times. Thank you ALW and team.
Simply beautiful job everyone! I honestly don't like operas but this one has been my favorite since I was a kid! Absolutely love the music in it!
I totally agree with you - beautiful! But, sorry, the Phantom is not an opera. It's a musical. But it really comes close to opera due to ALW's stunning musical genius.
Greetings from Germany!
Angelauska Yes, April probably still doesn't like operas!
Gosh - it didn't take long for the tears to start rolling. Simply (or complicatedly) beautiful. Thank you.
