Could have gone with that one. So many good Smitty games in the playoffs. Maybe I'll review that one next year on his birthday. Thanks for the comment, MrAschiff. LGI
Hello Mr. Martin. I agree about I. George, he's been pretty OK, but I think Roy likes him, but George isn't really ready for any power play kills, yet It's his lack of aggression and checking in my mind. George must get more physical and learn how to kill penalties to give others rest. Maybe going down to Bridgeport and playing a lot of minutes in various situations can develop him into a good defenseman. He's been playing not to make mistakes, game speed, and confidence needs to improve. Seems he's been playing conservative 🤔
Spot on henryhunter8910. I think George has a solid future but needs some more time to develop. I think he'll be back next year to compete for a roster spot and if the Isles play their cards right and he continues to develop. Thanks for the comment and please call me Gil. LGI
@@henryhunter8910 don’t think George has the size to be overly physical. It’s just not his game. He’s an offensive minded defenseman. Think George needs to learn when to take chances, when to be aggressive. Think the kid has been assertive at times.
Good morning team! Gil, interesting subject today. We've seen these guys for a while now, and admittedly, I like some of them. I'll be sorry to see them go. We have to be real though, would they have even given the opportunity to play on the big team, if not for the injuries? Still, I would keep a few and send a few Vets down, or give them their releases because of their lack of value. Gil, I hope I'm not sticking my foot in my mouth here. Looking forward to getting back on the winning track tonight and back to .500. Small steps first. Let's start with a confidence builder and hopefully it snowballs. I'm so much happier when the team wins. Everyone, have a great day today! See you all again tomorrow. Until then.. Let's Go Islanders!!
I'd love to see the confidence build and the team return to winning. We'll see how Lou and Roy handle the moves once everybody gets healthy. They took another step today, returning to full practice without a non-contact jersey. Thanks for the comment, Tony. LGI
Steve, I think it should be martin and fasching who are waved. I don’t think senile Lou has any intention of sending engvall back down. Unless he’s forced to because of the cap. Wahly to me is ahead of all three. He should be on the second power play. Last game st. Patrick had Casey on the power play? What’s he done to earn that? lol
I think he belongs. I also think the fact that he's young and waivers exempt contribute to the decision I think the team will likely make. He needs to play and the worse thing for him would be to sit entirely in the press box or barely see the ice. Thanks for the comment, milTon-bz1cl. LGI
Good 🌄, Gil, how are you? They should keep Isiah George Patrick Roy benched him. It was his way of saying ⌚️ AND LEARN. After all, he's 20 years a rookie, and THEY MAKE MISTAKES. One bad game doesn't guarantee a one-way trip back to Bridgeport. Pierre Engvall still hasn't gotten the message that Patrick Roy gave him. He has 2 or maybe 3 when he scores, but then he's back to his old ways. Anthony DuClair's ⛸️ with the team, non-contact, of course, and Alexander Romanov is ⛸️ non-contact, too. Thanks to Lou Lamoriello, THE CAP SPACE IS a VERY 🔥 MESS. The Islanders play Chicago at UBS Arena, not only tonight but on Sunday, too. I hope they don't make them look like Stanley Cup Champions on both nights or days. Let's hope Lou Lamoriello and Patrick Roy can see 👁 to 👁 when it comes to Pierre Engval. The Blackhawks are in a mood after they beat those dreaded Rangers at The Garden. They need to keep Connor Bedard in ✔️. He sounds like a candidate for the rookie of the year. HAPPY 🎂, SMITTY. An original Islander who came through in the clutch, and when it came to his "spot", he was way meaner than Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory. Sheldon will say that's my spot, Smitty won't say it he'll make sure it costs you some pain. Wayne Gretzky and many like before him are proof of that. I just might see that game tonight mainly for Smitty, and to 👀 Boss, who looks like one of the Flying Wallendas when he scored and in front of 🐅 Williams. Hear from you later, Gil, and LET'S GO ISLANDERS.
Smitty was one of a kind when it came to protecting his crease. He was a classic. Barzal, Pelech and Duclair all practiced today without the no-contact jersey, so they're taking another step closer to a return. Thanks for the comment, Cindy and LGI. Hope for a good performance tonight and Sunday when they play in Chicago.
1. Just put george back out there. 36 headed back to ahl soon when 3 returns. 2. When 11, 13 return waive/send down the obvious. 18 back to ahl hopefully never to return. Give 26 his bus pass to b'port too. Let 26 linger in ahl with even worse talent to play with. Louzer can't even strengthen b'port with his send downs unlike most gm's who take ahl team into account with roster planning.
You're right that Lou can't even strengthen Bridgeport. The lack of talent and depth across the organization is quite an indictment of Lou. George will likely play tonight, but as I said on the show, when Pelech returns, he'll be likely headed back to Bridgeport. Wahlstrom and Egvall would make sense, but Engvall is probably a necessity unless Lou actually makes a trade to free up cap space (you can stop laughing now). Thanks for the comment and LGI
Reilly likely done for the year, so you can't consider him until training camp. Mayfield and Pelech both have NTCs and would have to waive them to be traded. Thanks for the comment, kidnamedbarzalislanders2498. LGI
@ agreed. Lou is not going to move mayfield or pelech. Mayfield has to much term on his deal and we can hope pelech returns to form. Don’t think we ever recovered from losing toews and leddy. Leddy had speed and could recover from defensive mistakes. I’d love to see George be that type of player.
Hope they don't bench him vs Chicago. He will likely head down to Bridgeport when Pelech returns. Trading Pelech has a few obstacles. 1) Lou won't do it 2) he has a NTC and would have to waive it. Thanks for the comment, kidnamedbarzalislanders2498. LGI

Hello Gil, Agree with you 100% about George. Lets get 2 points tonight! LGI
Well, Darrell, they got the two points but it sure wasn't pretty. Thanks for the comment and LGI.
