Facts. I haven't felt this excided to watch a game in a long time. The whole team seems motivated for this kid too which is great to see. His first goal against the kings and the way the boys swarmed him was amazing to see
i don't know why other people around the way shit on the SJS fans for not going to games because the team has been bad for a few years. SJS from 1998-2019 missed the p-off's 2x. i believe the bay area is a solid hockey market and the fans will return when the team is competitive.
As a flyers guy I think Mac and Mitch are going to be running this league for a long time. Wish you guys were in the east because it would be interesting to see them head to head more
A funny side note, by complete random chance the first 3-4 Sharks games I saw in person were all against the Flyers over the course of a few years. Always thought that was funny

Will Smith and Macklin Celebrini really gives you hope for the future of the San Jose Sharks! I will admit I had no belief Celebrini would be THIS good out the gate in the NHL. He keeps this up and he for sure is a Calder Trophy winner.

I’m still waiting on teams to really start key on him. Thankfully Granlund and Zetterlund can drive the offense so if Celebrini gets shut down we still have play drivers. Doesn’t hurt that we got some bottom 6 bruisers to protect the kids as well.
Keeping it simple, and solid well executed fundamentals. Nothing I've seen of Celebrini is like some super jaw dropping skills or physicality, just solid hockey iq and great timing. Bedard seems to be struggling due to his flashy skills not translating as well to the league.

He's not an extremely flashy player, and has found such a good balance between individual skill & hockey IQ, which is pretty damn impressive for his age. i think celebrini is going to be a more well-rounded complete player than bedard. a true 200-ft center. mack's already got some height and weight over bedard and he's still got some years to grow and fill out. exciting future ahead for SJS and their fans.
Once Bedard gets better at playing a full 200ft game and learning to adapt to the nhl he will be a superstar but Celebrini will also be superstar they are two different players that will have different careers, both with success

I watched him play as a 15 year old at Shattuck St Mary's lead the team in scoring! Then after he set the goal record in the USHL with 17 games left I knew he'd be a first overall pick and told everyone that would listen. If he stays healthy he's the next Crosby IMO. Been saying that for over a year now as well
Not so much the points, it's the GOALS. 6 in 12 games. That's 40-goal scoring pace, and that's not just statistical fluke, he looks like that kind of talent even now. I can't wait for the Bedard vs Celebrini future ahead of us (please stay healthy, please stay healthy...).

One plays a 200 ft game, the other plays a 64 ft game… bedard needs a bit more development which is wild just thinking that but being a bit undersized is tough when you play with men.

Bedard is awesome but a generational talent doesn't slump like this and none before him have done so in the past.. Celebrini has done nothing but shatter records in every league and year he has played up unitl now. Like age old and never been done before records. Bedards size is an issue at the next level and you can see it. That, and he gets down on himself too much. Super skilled though and i do believe he is going yo be a powerhouse in the future, juat see him as a Patrick Kane type player and believe he best suited on the wing.

He’s bigger than Bedard and is better at protecting himself with the puck. He hasn’t gotten lit up yet like Bedard did a lot last season.
