Throughout my daily routine, I recite a 'gratitude and mindfulness' prayer before I eat a meal and before I sleep. A small prayer I created for myself. It helps me to appreciate what I have.
I love that concept thank you for sharing!☺️ It’s amazing what a little thanks and gratitude can bring to our day and consciously doing this routinely sounds humbling & fulfilling at the same time😊
✨️🤩✨️ I say a little gratitude prayer before every meal as well 😊 I've also stopped watching media or listening to music when I eat because I recently found out that NONE of our Senses are what they SEEM -- EVERY Sense is PROCESSED in the brain BEFORE we Experience it! ⚡️🧠⚡️ So if we're BOMBARDING our brain with Audio AND Visuals AND Food, our Brains literally have to SPLIT THE DIFFERENCE -- so we're ONLY getting 1/3rd of EACH Experience‼️😱 So now I'll play some gentle rain, dim the lights, and simply ENJOY my meal. The DIFFERENCE in Flavor is EXTRAORDINARY... 🤯 So maybe give this a try -- you'll be amazed @ how DEEPLY we can Experience something if we're not SPLITTING our Attention 7 different ways 🥰 The reason I DIM the lights ISN'T for Romantic Atmosphere, it's so my mind can focus MORE on the meal in front of me -- the Scents, the Sights, the Textures -- instead of things in my Kitchen & Dining Room 😉 (although the Romantic effect doesn't hurt) 💞 LOVE your videos. Can't wait to see what you're up to next 💖👀💖
I loved this video :) for lent this year, I haw actually decided to "add" something to my life instead of doing without and I have chosen to incorporate more joy in the everyday. Just enjoying those little moments and being grateful. Thank you for your video xxx

Sometimes something new means trying improve what you do enjoy. Like getting a personal best or working towards it. I find having a purpose in life gives it meaning. This could be short or long term. Its so true too that the journey is just as enjoyable as the destination.
I love that perspective and very much agree - thank you for sharing!☺️ There is always some way to learn and grow even if it’s with someone we already do/know. The process is the most important part though to fully embracing it✨🫶
No such thing as a boring day, every day is a day to thank your still alive.. everyday can't be a Hollywood day,and each day with the Wright perspective can be beautiful.. might be a little baby laughing,a sunset, looking at a tree that's been there for hundreds of years.. always about perspective and Keeping your ego under lock and key..a great channel by the way, Keep up the good work!

Brilliant ideas 🌟 Yest, I made an Indian tea recipe from my coworker for when you're not feeling well. I went and got the ingredients I didn't have. I wasn't feeling well but decided the adventure of going for a walk, all bundled up, to find these new to me Indian spices and then making the tea would brighten my grey day. And yes, it did! The tea tastes amazing too!! I love your videos : ) ❤Sue

Lovely pizza!! I am a long time sourdough baker ... actually converted your seed bread to sourdough as it looked so good and I don't keep "commercial" yeast :) Yummy recipe - thank you!! I am a complete homebody and somewhat hermit-ish ... live on 8 acres in NW Montana U.S. in a 1 bedroom/1 bath house. I have been self-employed for over 38 years. I just completed my last contract as a software developer and although I don't intend to stop work completely, it will not be programming work. I have been a hobby photographer and am a new videographer/UA-cam and 4 months ago decided to add watercolor painting, drawing and sketching. I was teased about my lack of artistic ability when I was young, so I am needing to turn down that negative voice as I learn. I actually LOVE my ordinary routine ... even when I was "working". Now, the routine is different, but I think many would think it is and was mundane. I chose living simply as a solo programmer vs "corporate" life. I also choose to always be learning and trying new things: innate curiosity, love of tech and technique and over 38 years as a programmer, I learned new languages and development paradigms continuously. At 68, I am highly motivated to keep body and brain active but not by going "out" unless it is outside to enjoy nature. Excellent video and thoughts! And I LOVE the dinosaur button sweater ... a bit of serendipity and fun!
Thank you for sharing this! What a wonderful life you have led so far, I really enjoyed reading this!☺️ Firstly I’m so glad you enjoyed the bread recipe, I can imagine with sourdough it was even more delicious😋 I admire your mindset and philosophy, the life you have led is very inspiring for me and I can only dream of living something similar. Our values sound very aligned particularly when it comes to artistic pursuits and creativity. You sound like you have found (in my opinion) the perfect balance between work, passion, meaning and fulfilment within your life to date and this has really inspired me to remain determined to live according to my own terms and by what feels right for me - despite the societal noise and influence that is difficult to ignore at times. Thank you again for sharing this, I wish you the best of luck with all your future endeavours!🫶 Greetings to the US😄✨
@@lagomholly Thank you for the lovely reply! I do believe that I found (mostly) a good balance for me. I made conscious choices and considered consequences of those choices. I did not have children, I have been married (3x all fairly brief) and finally concluded that I do best alone ... human alone, I have a dog and a cat. I do not apologize for my choices and rarely explain ... I have no regrets. Not to say that there have not been challenging times just like every human on earth! Ultimately, you can conform or you can live your authentic life. If you do not conform, there is the risk that you alienate some and isolate yourself to some degree. If you do conform there is the certainty that you will feel dissatisfied and bring misery to yourself and possibly others around you. I am on my soapbox! I think that I need to make my own video about this from the perspective of my age. And BTW, the reason I started this 2nd comment ... if you are interested, there is a channel "Reflections of Life". While many stories are from people of my vintage and older there are some from younger. I haven't binge watched but I pick 1 or 2 during the week and they always inspire me. Best, best wishes ... I will keep watching and listening to you!
Love this perspective shift. I’ve been doing a little project of walking all the public footpaths on the OS map of where I live. It’s been a great project for finding adventure and new places right on my doorstep - discovering places I didn’t even know existed despite having lived here all of my life 😊 x
I love that idea! Nothing better than discovering hidden spots on your doorstep you never knew were there! Almost feels like you’re living somewhere completely new again☺️ Thanks for sharing!🫶

Trying new things is also what we must do occasionally when working on any task. Change is all around us and often we are forced to do something new even if we don't like it. I like how you gave yourself a little challenge, but it turned out good in the end. I'm sure you'll be able to improve your pizza recipe with time. Thanks, Holly.

Great tips, Holly! Both pizzas look amazing! By the way, I tried something new today-I drank a cup of coffee. I haven't had coffee in many years. I usually drink tea. I am still not sure about it though. lol ... Cheers! Greetings to the UK! (Congrats on 7k+!)
Thank you Harry! So glad you enjoyed this one😋 It’s always a great day whenever coffee is involved!🤩🤣 Maybe it’ll take a few more cups to develop a deep love for it! But once you do you’ll never be able to go without a cup!🤤 Thank you so much! Really appreciate your support from the start!✨

Hello, I have made different food items that I would say it is definitely out of my comfort zone. Unfortunately, it didn’t work to well so I never made it again. Pizza is one thing that I can make but never sourdough. Sounds interesting which I can try. What you made looked delicious. I am planning to try something this summer which is out of my comfort zone. I will be taking a month off and plan to go tent camping across the United States. I want to connect with nature and reconnect myself. After hearing you I feel that I just don’t know who I am. I just want to find out what I want out of life. Thank you very much for your inspirational speech. You got me thinking and I thank you. Bless you 🙏 and thanks for sharing

Thank you for watching this🫶 So glad you enjoyed!
