Cardio in the morning and an energy booster helps with cleaning in depression. Ya it’s hard to do, you truly have to push yourself but it helps when you really push at the beginning 🙂 Best of luck. Depression was not fun, and I never want to have it again.

I feel happy to come home to a Clean Home. Less Mess, Less Stress. You feel more organized and relaxed, and you know where everything is.
Aki, I used to be a life long hoarder, then spent all of 2023 clearing my entire house myself because I was tired living in a prison made of junk. Soon after, I was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. Fortunately, having a clean house has helped lift my spirits and making life easier, which in turn, has helped me heal, which would have not been possible if I still lived in a messy house. This is a lovely video reminding, educating and confirming us on the value of a clean house. Domo 🙏❤️🙏
I cleaned my bathroom first thing when I woke up and it felt amazing. I will be cleaning my house this weekend. Your videos are inspiring. I love the way you talk.
I have ALWAYS LOVED cleaning as it allows me to show the UTMOST GRATITUDE for the BLESSINGS I have received ....Ie, the roof over my head, the furniture that keeps me comfortable, the heat that keeps me warm....etc I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS !!!!❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉
I read a mental health advise piece one day. "The state of your environment represents the state of your mind". I concur with this absolutely. I notice myself how hard it is to organize my thoughts while sitting in a messy and cluttered room. Something iv noticed is you can train yourself to become intolerant of mess and uncleanness. If you are a person who keeps your home in a tip-top, clean, tidy and organized state you develop 'spidy senses'. You can walk into a tidy and organized room but still feel irritated by it. If you stop and look more closely you will notice dust buildup on ledges, marks on walls, spider webs building up in corners of ceiling and a floor that needs a good vacuum or mopping. You develop a strong sense for cleanliness. Personally, although I fully agree that a clean, tidy and and organized home is a great thing to aspire to maintain, it can develop into an obsessive compulsive drive that also leads to social, family and mental health problems. My advise is to be realistic with house keeping. Life happens and having a life is important, so if you start loosing your temper or displaying irritability with your family over trivial things like food or drink being spilt on the floor, crumbs left on the bench, untidy bedrooms or un-made beds etc, take a breath and get a bloody grip on yourself! There is no need to start screwing your family up and creating anxiety issues in your kids over such trivial things. Teaching our children to not sweat the small stuff is important too!
I think something happened to me during the pandemic and it’s been harder for me to consistently keep my spaces clean. This was really helpful and it makes so much sense! I love your attitude. Thanks for the research!!
That was such a beautiful video and i could not agree more. Cleaning/tidying gives us the impression that we are on top of things and that we love and respect ourselves. A cluttered and dirty space is like a silent to do list, confronting us with all the things we need to do, always feeling behind on things, always playing catch up instead of enjoying and creating the life we want to live❤❤❤
I am definitely not a minimalist but I always keep my space clean and organized. I feel stressed and anxious when my environment is not clean. Thank you or another great video!

Oh Aki, you are always so inspiring. As a young person I was fanatical about cleaning, but now that I am older it has become a struggle to keep up. Illness can certainly drastically decrease one's energy. But now, it is time to use the winter months to focus on cleaning and tidying, sorting and parting with things I no longer need. A good way to make room for new experiences and make sure that, when I depart from this life, I will not leave piles of things for my minimalist daughter to dispose of. That said, I love Japanese art, and have collected several books on the topic, along with scroles found at Estate Sales. It is difficult to part with pieces of art, and other treasures one is fond of, so instead, I will group them together and display in the space I have made. Of course, your mother was right about not wasting time looking for things, sometimes it is only when we become older that we appreciate, just how wise our parents were!

Nice video! I enjoy cleaning, the fact that between my parents and my older brother I’m the cleanest. I grew up cleaning the house since I was young for monthly allowance every Saturday. It was a chore and didn’t under stand before except earning money, but as I grew up and don’t earn money for cleaning my parents house(jobs) I actually came to love cleaning. I made a half dozen trips to the local tip and landfill cleaning up under the front/back deck, inside the large four-room shed in the backyard at the bottom of the hill: industrial garbage bags slam-full and assorted broken stuff loaded in my car to the hilt. It amazes me people will just leave rubbish around like that, piling up. I prefer a neat, mouse nest-free, hassle-free environment.

Even before listening to this video I had started to do this (thanks to God)! I noticed more than anything, I felt more focused and it helped me instantly with procrastination. I become organized and managed my time better. I had actually got to a point that I would rather clean than work, and I know I went too far LOL, so now I work and use cleaning as a reward during breaks. Now I will finish watching the video and I am sure it will confirm most, if not all of what I just said above.
👍🏼 I believe I do that in school days. Better should keep up those habits now. Thank you Samurai Matcha your video helps to reassure why we have to hold such routine. 🙏🏼
I have been working with my space a lot more and making sure to do daily cleaning and it makes a difference in how everything feels. Slowly working on my making my spaces more functional and have better flow.
Thank you for your video. I've always felt inspired by feng shui and its emphasis on "paying the price" of you dont clean and organize your home. I'm someone who picks up a lot from my surroundings, so my environment has to be as clean as possible at least a few days a week as I have a young child. The Vedas dont recommend cleaning on Thursday, so that's a day I let the dust collect. It's not easy as I have a lot of Virgo. Also, don't sweep after dark. I use bleach with water to wash my dishes. Every time I'm in a bad mood and don't know why, I'll find a place in my immediate environment that needs cleaning. Cleanliness is next to godliness.❤❤My grandmother used to say, "Don't get mad, just start cleaning. " When I sit in a public space, I always change my clothes before sitting in my home. No one in my home is ever sick for long.
My adult kids say, "Mom is cleaning. Mom, are you stressed?" Ha! It's true that I stress clean, so deep cleaning. But basic cleaning just gives me peace of mind. I definitely noticed when my surroundings are clean.
It’s true.. staying clean and keeping surroundings clean is a big thing.. honestly your heart feels so good! But here in India it’s very daunting and challenging task!! Lot of resistance from fellow folks..
Got up to clean as soon as the video ended....I usualy hate cleaning and tiding up. Parhapse I just need to turn it upside down. ...thanks for the inspiration😊❤
A clean, orderly space is so important, and in so many ways! Thank you for such good information. I really like the beads you're wearing- what are they? 🙂
Even deep cleaning, decluttering and resetting one part of your room makes such a difference.

Yes I recently just got them to clean cotton bedsheets myself and it was very life-changing
I consider cleaning not only as caring for my home, but also as caring for myself. An untidy house stresses me to no end.
Tbh cleaning helps me to stay motivated. If I feel down and Im unable to do anything, cleaning will rise me up again. Its so powerful!
Same here! Even when I'm downhearted or sick, I feel like "Well, I still feel like shit, but look at that pretty bathroom!" It makes me laugh and feel better.
Movement is so good when sick. Plus when you clean all the bad bacteria, you tend to not get a reoccurring illness 🙂

It’s not that people who clean make more money but people who make more money can afford cleaning help and, therefore, tend to live in cleaner spaces.
There is some truth to it though.
When you don"t clean/tidy you tend to forget where stuff are and you end up buying stuff you already have but can"t find. That"s money you could"ve saved. That"s more income.
It is true for both scenarios. I also think personality traits plays a role too.

Thanks GOD! for this very inspiring knowledge about our daily routine..starting with a small things..that makes a lot.. more power to you!!!
I am currently busting out my entire creative art room, every time i do I get a load of ideas and write great work that same day.
Your positive attitude is just amazing! ❤

Why difficult in India?I live in south India and I love cleaning my home. And most of the homes are kept clean.
@ me too.. but our cities our roads are dirty because we keep it that way.. it’s just not home
Our roads hills beaches all need to clean..
