This is my dream. I have ms though and I’m not well enough for long distance. I just managed 4 kilómetros yesterday and it was so hard. An old dude with a walking frame got there quicker. Yes, that was definitely a chicken of the woods. Lucky to find one. Jeez, I envy you.
Love your recordings. I did this walk with my father in 1986. At the time he was 68 and i now realise how tough he was. I am now 60 and planning to do the walk next year. What great filming you have done so inspiring
I just watched your entire C2C series and I wanted to thank you! I have set myself a target of doing this walk (not as fast as you did it, my yomping days are over!) but your trip triggered something in me to get off the sofa and train to do this! So Thank You!
I completed this hike in 1976 when a night at the Blue Bell cost me £2.50 and the Breakfast was just 75p, happy memories. Like you I camped most nights in the wild, but unlike you I had a 30kg pack and completed the walk in 7 days. Day 1 for me was start at St Bees at 5.30am and made it to Black Sail by 8pm. Day 2 was Black Sail to Helvellen, Day 3 Helvellen to Shap and I camped in the Pub Garden for £1.50. Day 4 Shap to Keld, wild camp overnight then Day 5 Keld to the Blue Bell. Day 6 ended at Danby leaving just the last leg to Robin Hoods Bay on Day 7.
11:30. Was this your first ever “medic” caught on camera? It’s my favourite meme of yours. Just ahead of “CEO of Locked & Latched” and the “walk by” Camer shot where you also record yourself walking back 😂 All classics
Hello pal.. I think your absolute inspiration... I’ve I been wanting to do what your doing for a long time but don’t have the pals or mates that are in to it .. I went on my first six mile walk today on my own and absolutely loved it.. would love to take it further.. been looking into walking groups or rambling groups ... just wanted to say I’ve watched nearly every video you’ve done over the past couple weeks ... absolutely love it keep up the good work pal👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for these videos, a territory I usually don’t see, as I am hiker in the states near PCT, CDT trails, I’d think you dig the Sierras if you ever get a chance to go state side friend. Sequoia, Kings Canyon, Yosemite National Park is quite an adventure, big forrest, Rocky Mountains, rivers, mountain lions, bears. Get your heart pumping for great outdoors. Cheers 🍻 happy hiking.
'Cos the chicken thought it was a zebra' ... always, they're very tunnel visioned. Great series of vids. Takes me back years seeing some of those walks again ... Serious nostalgia fest . Really enjoying these. Power to your elbow (and the knee and ankle) .
Really enjoying this (whilst working haha), better than having the radio on. I miss the lake district. My late dad did the coast to coast about 30 years ago. Maybe I ought to have a go myself before I get too old and wizzened!
Well done fella, could feel your pain at the end, in the beer garden at the end, just over the A19 you can see my woodland 🤫if I’d of knew you where at the bluebell I’d of popped over for a few with you.
You could turn the saddest time into a good old party your outlook on life is so posative , ive spelt that rong ha ha serious mate you are a good guy stay lucky my friend ATB john liverpool x
I so admire your spirit. Very well done you! I've watched loads of your vids ( you make me chuckle). Don't drink too much you will pickle your brain. I'm old enough to be your Ma. Bit if a decrepit wild camper myself. I take a granny trolley :-D... And a mad collie. Bless you. Keep going.
That shaggy looking sheep at 4:10 MIGHT be a Wiltshire Horn which is what's called a hair breed, they naturally malt and so don't require shearing in the spring. Think that guy might have been halfway through the process.
Great effort Hazey keep going mate, more ale will keep up morale and kill the pain, some local Yorkshire beer and ale reviews ?,, The Gate without a fence is class lol , so Monty Python! Keep going Lad!
Love it pal, really enjoying this coast to coast series ... really putting me in the mood to do it, think it will be later in the year tho, some cracking pubs there lad. Stay ace .. peace out bro :)
Yes... The video's keep's on rolling in. Great job mate ! Its like watching Ray himself, but with a nose-piercing. Love it ! The only thing i miss is Mr. Grimes and your very entertaining friendship. Although you are pretty funny yourself as well :)
I laughed when you went through that gate at the start of the vid it looked like a gate standing on its own I was thinking for a second why doesn't he just walk passed it. I have one of those filters I'm nearly sure on the box it says does not filter dog slobber. Brilliant vids really enjoying them
That looked a tough one Haze. I'm scared shitless of cattle meself. Funny how your body slaps you down just when you think you're doing well. Hope your ankle holds up.
Yorkshire men are a special breed, that's for sure. Some of the funniest men I've ever met in my life, where Yorkshire men. The county it's self is some of the most beautiful in the world, certainly among the best in the UK. Tolkein could have put Hobbiton in the Dales.
Now I’ve got a minute to leave a proper comment 🤪.. really enjoying these vids Hon! .. I mean, always do, but seeing what you decide to film and share on your hike adventure is different than a regular ‘camping’ experience.. and as usual you are full of funny stuff. I was expecting a latch review but.. nope.. I guess maybe you’re saving them all up as clips and we’ll get a spiffy latchy montage at some point?? 🤪lol ..anyhoo, the granddad connection is lovely, and it’s nice to see the pics from his walk and hear the bits of comparisons with his and your walks.. I feel your pain with the knee and ankle garbage, I got to the point of carrying strong supports for the knees/bandages in my bag, it works better to wrap up the bad spot ASAP and then you are less likely to mess up the opposite leg with limping and compensation.. (sorry! just my ‘mom’s 2 cents’ advice 😬lol) Really, it’s a lovely trail to have, your scenery pics are stunning.. I have the Appalachian Trail within an hour of me and I’ve done a little bit of section hiking, but haven’t managed anything substantial yet. I’m living vicariously through your walk at the moment.. lol.. I’ll get around to some big hikes eventually.. might take the younger kid getting to college to get some time 😂 but eventually I will!! Lol Thanks again for sharing everything with us!! & I really appreciate the giggles.. ATB~ Ruth
I could have easily got first comment but let someone else instead. Really enjoyed that bud. Was sorry to see it over. Howay man hazo, do an hour long ‘special’ episode. Keep them coming. Cheers.
Second 🙄 ps I watch the advert so you can buy yourself a new knee and ankle, pps I've just watched a nine minute advert about a phone I don't want so you can buy yourself a bionic knee and ankle! Hope to see my sponsored purchase in the next video !
Only just found you and already a big fan! I'll be doing my first ever wild camp in the next few weeks...what water filter are you using in the dog bowl clip?
This is my dream. I have ms though and I’m not well enough for long distance. I just managed 4 kilómetros yesterday and it was so hard. An old dude with a walking frame got there quicker. Yes, that was definitely a chicken of the woods. Lucky to find one. Jeez, I envy you.
4km is ok. Just do what you can and make the best of it. 1km is still better than just watching youtube & dreaming.
I wish you well Katrine.
Any distance is a success, and finding it hard and still enjoying is the true success :)
Love your recordings. I did this walk with my father in 1986. At the time he was 68 and i now realise how tough he was. I am now 60 and planning to do the walk next year. What great filming you have done so inspiring
Respect
Did you do it then.hope it went well 👍
On needing water Hazey, there's almost always a water tap on church grounds so people can maintain grave flowers. Better than the dog-bowl, heh..
I just watched your entire C2C series and I wanted to thank you! I have set myself a target of doing this walk (not as fast as you did it, my yomping days are over!) but your trip triggered something in me to get off the sofa and train to do this! So Thank You!
“Come on soldier get up” and “stick some Vaseline on it’ll be alright” had me choking on my tea...😆😆
Hell of a pub crawl.190 miles.loving it.
Pints look lovely after a trek like that. Brilliant.

"and then the pint kicked in and i was off!" mate :D
The birdsong in the background was lush!
Love that you use the word “gadgie”
We say that in Scotland as well
Could write a good book - A Coast to Coast pub crawl - you have to stop in every pub on the route that you pass by and have a pint.
11:30. Was this your first ever “medic” caught on camera?
It’s my favourite meme of yours. Just ahead of “CEO of Locked & Latched” and the “walk by” Camer shot where you also record yourself walking back 😂
All classics
Enjoy your videos, nice hike and pub hopping. I like the mix of camping and then rooms & pubs. Would enjoy the coast to coast hike someday. Thanks

I'm the same... none of my mates are one bit interested in hiking. So basically it's one of those things you just have to do by yourself.
Cmon soldier get up and vultures circling 😂😂😂, great film pal, great info for me as I’m looking at hiking this late may ish , we’ll done mate 👏

Beautiful birds and animals.

Wise Young King Hazy of Yorkshire. Be blessed and many good days on your way.

I'm old enough to be your Ma. Bit if a decrepit wild camper myself. I take a granny trolley :-D... And a mad collie.
Bless you. Keep going.
Loving it. MC bushcraft would be drinking nettle tea for this journey but you are setting the standard with your hydration techniques.

The Punchbowl Healaugh. Been there many a time, beautiful views.
Love the pub in gunnerside. And it's a great place to wildcamp.
That shaggy looking sheep at 4:10 MIGHT be a Wiltshire Horn which is what's called a hair breed, they naturally malt and so don't require shearing in the spring. Think that guy might have been halfway through the process.

MEDIC!!!!
@@KA88-v1t hahaha how did you find this hahaha
@@REH-p9r I’m watching it just now 😂 I replied to your other one too!
We have that here in the US. I made a massive amount of it. It's alright. Extremely good for you. Chicken of the woods
I think it's the ales that keep you going.. lol..
Shame you didn't stop off in Richmond there's some good places to camp and have a swim in the swale
Bit late, what map book do you use? The fold out ones are annoying.
Second 🙄 ps I watch the advert so you can buy yourself a new knee and ankle, pps I've just watched a nine minute advert about a phone I don't want so you can buy yourself a bionic knee and ankle! Hope to see my sponsored purchase in the next video !
Joking aside, well done pal!
Only just found you and already a big fan! I'll be doing my first ever wild camp in the next few weeks...what water filter are you using in the dog bowl clip?
"Dog water - a new low". Love it. Hope ya dont get worms tho....
Great films👍🏻 Can you tell me what map book you are using throughout please, I like it’s format. Keep up the good work. Thanks
I was wondering the same
Yes, me too, a book instead of the fold out maps.
Having watch the rest of the clip what he has is A-Z Adventure Atlas - Coast To Coast, it's in a shot
@Mark Hepworth It's the fold out form that's a problem with them, awkward cumbersome and easy worn out.
Just started planning my hike for this Summer 2021. Can I ask which walking boots you used?
Cheers mate you saved me from Love Island 🤯
really enjoying your videos mate, keep up the good work. thinking of creating my own outdoors channel with my son :) great content pal
Good job Hazey boy.
What’s the water filtration system you use?
Maybe you were still pissed!😂
