- Опубліковано 9 чер 2021
- This was everything I needed for two weeks in the highlands of Scotland on the cape wrath trail. It may not be ultralight but it was lightweight enough for me and more importantly it was comfortable to carry. The first video in the Cape Wrath series will be out soon so if you'd like to be notified when it drops just click the bell icon below.

Hovis tent slippers! Surely you called these your "Loafers!"
Bravo 👏
Daaaaad! 🤣
That is just brill.
This guy is on a roll.
The upper crust of puns
I’ve only found this channel a week ago and can’t get enough of it. I’ve never learnt so much about ale 🤣
Only Haz can make a 30 minute “watch me empty my sack” video seem like it’s over too quickly. Loved it, loads of good tips and insights, not sure about the bread bags, might stick with me crocs. Looking forward to the in-depth reviews of the kit, looks well impressive.
😂
I just came for the accent. 100% satisfied.
This was my phone voice

@@HazeOutdoors you can call me anytime bro
And I'm from the West Country
@@FuchsiaShock can you drive a tractor?
A great video - gives some great insights with great context when viewed along side your other videos so you know EXACTLY why you can and should have this gear on hand. A great help to anyone looking to start their own adventures.
It’s like going on a hike with Vic & Bob. Love this.
“You don’t wanna be getting shits when your out n about” 🤣🤣 keeping it real
Over half term I did my first multi day camp/hike/DtheJ. All pretty tame as a newb but learned so much from watching your vids and being inspired by the Haze. Thank you
Oh the scenery shots.... I’m in heaven 😍
As a merino super fine wool grower, really pleased you liked the best natural fibre around. Look forward to viewing your ventures. Cheers mate. 🇦🇺
I know we don't do trail names here but I swear, yours is "Bread Bags".
"It keeps the sun out of my eyes" - Shows clip wearing the cap backwards 😆
The bread bag tip is brilliant, thanks for sharing it.
First time I've actually watched a kit review, really good thanks
What a great walkthrough of your gear! Actually this has to be one of the best I have ever seen 🙂
The in reach mini is definitely a premium item on trail. Got mine 6 months ago, and although pricey, definitely worth it.
Great video gear review! Love the camp booties;)
First of all, it’s great to see you back and congratulations cos it looks like you made it! 👍🏼
Absolutely mega video mate, super informative and very insightful. Really appreciate all the links you’ve included in the video description as well too. Thanks for all you do and looking forward to the next videos! 🤙🏼
Really useful kit list, and pretty damn decent weight fully loaded given the days / distance covered.
Thanks for gear review, I watch nearly all your videos, planning a trek next year, you really do inspire me, thanks Hazy
That is one hell of an excellent video that you should be very proud of. If that doesn’t explain exactly what anyone does and does not need to take on any hike then there is no other video that does! Thankyou
Already jealous about the Cape Wrath trail, can't wait to see that.
Great info and thanks for going through everything as I prepare to start doing a bit more walking and perhaps try out some wild camping. Living in Scotland we have a lot of places to visit that I never have. Hope you have a great week and will check out the other videos.
Great to see you again as always tremendous knowledge piece and love from 1 leg UK England
I laughed at the tent shoes but I’m also definitely gonna start copying you, that’s genius
Thanks Man!
Much love
Now then young man, looking forward to the Cape Wrath vids, as having worked up there, the terrain can be rough as a badger mate, beautiful but a mite unforgiving - hope you got the weather for it, as it can turn up there in minutes. Really interesting to see what you had on your back. Glad you enjoyed and you're back safe and well my ikkle yorkie pudding, all the best mate, and thank you for posting. nick
Yes, a Hazy Video. Super excited now for the trip videos!
Cheers Haze ! Top job yet again 👍 keep em coming 👍
Wondered where you'd gone mate. Good to have you back Hazy. You've been missed 🙂👍
Ay up Hazey 😎
Put a smile on my face when your vid popped up 😊
Loved it all the way down to the bread bag socks ...genious ! I'm a Warburtons man myself 😆
Glad to see you're back and well
Hey! Hello again! Here to watch again 😜 lovely to see you back Hon! Looking forward to seeing what you’ve been up to! I’m living vicariously, so it’s appreciated!! 😬
ATB~Ruth
Wonderful. Thank you.
Cheers Hazey, having done some long hikes myself it's good to see a more up to date look at kit and interesting comparison to gear I used On the CWT .
Great video and came as a pleasant surprise when I heard you were on the trail.
Look forward to the films.
All the best.
👍🌄⛺❤
Well done on the trip as it is no doubt a brutal adventure. Hope to have a retry of the CWT myself in September. The jacket you have is much the same as the Mountain Equipment Propellor I have and can also say the best waterproof jacket I have ever owned.
How heavy of a pack are you using the jacket with? I know it's pretty thin/lightweight and a little worried about the should straps wearing out or being a weak spot for water to get through.
Great kit run through. Really looking forward to watching the Cape Wrath video.....loved the coast to coast one..top werk mukka
Gee what an absolutely fantastic wild camping informative video, you really are the wild camping guru!cant wait for you're next pearls of wisdom Thank you so so so much!
*your
Brilliant mate I can't wait for the trek video 👍
Quality content again fella, refreshing to hear reasons why you don't have say the lightest version of something just because everyone else has, especially as in the uk its different to the info in similar videos from the US, Love it mate, keep it up
Great to see you back mate hope all is good looking forward to seeing your trip
Thanks !
Excellent! I’m motivated now !
Great to see you, Hazey! Very interesting video...and anticipating those to come. Love from Canada 🇨🇦 👍👍👍😏💜🍺
A mention for the late great Ron Hill…a legend round are way
I use a survival bag as a pack liner. Works really well, and dual use in an emergency situation.
Throughly enjoyed it some great tips on gear look forward to the next installment
Bloody hell haze where you bloody been 🤣 Missed ya face genuinely though you got me through a bad patch In my life being outdoors Is amazing for mental health
The Garmin Inreach is a must if your'e on your own, i did that trail in the late 90s with 2 mates and navigation was very tricky at times and midgies were a nightmare at times.
Nice to have you back
Haven’t watched the vid yet, but just told the missus that Hazy’s back with a huge smile on my face. Is that normal for a 55 year old old fashioned blokes bloke ??
55 years old, called spam fritter, are you james may???
Haze is happy which makes us happy.
Nah, it's fine. Haze oozes positivity and happiness. He makes me feel happy, I could listen to him talk about anything, he's a very entertaining chap.
Buzzing to see you back pal!
You allways make me smile..Great video !
That's mad how you got that gear in that there bag . Looking forward to watching your adventure, take it easy Haze 👍
Trekology pillow for the win bro!
It’s a winner
Incorrect statement decathlon pillow by far more comfortable and cheaper
Great review brother, thanks for sharing.
Heading to Nordic Outdoors now! Thanks Haze! Nice to see what others are using. Thanks 😁
We all need some bread bag slippers in our lives!! If only we knew about this pre-lockdown 🤣

Beat ya meat. I mean, mate…
Deja You today 😜

Nice ! For use with my hiking poles I use a pair of cheap cycling gloves, because they are padded on the palms & fingers, just where blisters would otherwise appear, and the backs can be opened if it's hot.
Hey 👋🏻 great to see you back, we’ve all missed you! Looking forward to this one & seeing how you are. Hope you had a fantastic trip & can’t wait to see it all. As always, much love 💕
Looking forward to the vids, loved the coast to coast a few years back 😀
That's what I really like about YT. Unexpectedly I found this great channel. I really like listening to your scottisch accent. I used to travel alltrough Scotland 25 years ago. Now I know that I've to come back soon. Greetings from Germany.
Step one boxer shorts I can highly recommend them no chafing with those. Looking forward to the rest of the uploads off this hike.
boxer briefs are the way and the truth just after the savior
Looking forward to seeing your take on the CWT mate. 👍🏻 😁
Great video. Thank you. Nice to see you on ear
Great to see you back mate ❤️🙏

Some great stuff cheers mate good info on hiking stuff
Great tips!
I can't wait for the video series to come out 👍🇵🇭
Camped in PH as well...
Definitely adding bread bags to my kit now!! 😂💯 Reminds me of how we used to wear our wet winter boots back out lined with milk bags as kids in Canada.
Fairly new subscriber. Been through nearly every video, had a laugh most the way. inspired to get a kit together and venture out. Thanks mate.
Cheers Matt
Darn Tough socks are THE best! And made in my home state of Vermont. Nice to hear you found them useful.
It is AMAZING how even the thought of putting on dry socks at the end of a hard day's walking elicits such pleasurable memories! You felt it as you said it, and I was sharing the joy too! If only more people could even understand that it's these little things that matter. Not, as you say, netflix or any of the million and one distractions folk use that they think are important... There is nothing like a cosy tent/sleeping bag/clothes to highlight what actually matters most - the simple things. And you are such a good example to anyone who chooses to care about such simple pleasures. Keep on with the vids, your down to earth, chatty, funny, happy, up-beat personality is a treat for us all (-;)~
Yes another Hazey vid, can’t wait get out and about me sen, much love ❤️ from Wigan 👍
Cheers Wigzy

I was only looking searching for a new upload vid from you Hazey the other day. Me and the missus just came back from Scotland 2 weeks ago. Did 7 nights in our newly converted van. We headed up to Durness and stayed on site for 2 nights then stayed at Shegra beach. Absolutely stunning. I wanted to do the Cape Wrath tour on ferry and boat but it wasnt running until beginning of this month. I love the North and West coast best there is some stunning finds to be found. Cant wait for your trip vid to come. Well done Haze
Hazey, did you camp at Shegra? We found it by mistake and it was breathtaking?
