Thank you Sandy for let us join your walk and for not laying music on.....the big trend in the videos with music is often more irritating than enyoy able! BarbroSweden
Genuinly, hand on heart, the best video ive watched in a very long time, brilliantly done. Having no music was a great idea, the sounds of the water, insects, birds, wind, footsteps, etc etc made it feel so much more natural, almost as if veiwers were actually there. I loved every second of it. I do admire your range of interests and general zest for life . keep them coming. Thanks for sharing and take care
The B role is good but some videos do tend to have to much. It's getting the balance right. I sometimes use drone shots in my videos. You've gotta have music to that
Brilliant video Sandy, thank you for showing us all the beautiful countryside up north, you must be as tough as old boots to walk that terrain, I take my hat off to you. 👍🇬🇧
Lovely video as usual Sandy enjoyed not having music. Love the sound of the sea and breeze. Fantastic effort too you are an amazing man. Stay healthy all the very best looking forward to more!!!!!. Tony
Oh, boy, am I glad I've subscribed to your channel Sandy, this was quite simply STUNNING I love the paramotoring (as a pilot, of course, I would) but this video has just blown me away - awesome!!
Simply wonderful. Thanks for taking us along on another adventure. You have to admire a man who gets excited by a squirrel, especially given the beautiful scenery that surrounds him. Fish ’n Chips sounds like a grand idea right now.
Just completed your video trilogy. I really enjoyed it and your perception and commentary. Wonderful scenery and the feet-on-the-ground experience was well conveyed. Thanks for letting us hear all the sounds. I like music but it is seldom relevant in most of the videos on UA-cam. It was a good decision to preserve the soundtrack. There were many wonderful sounds. May this be a good example for other UA-camrs. Congratulations on the completion. I hope and trust your shoes treated your feet well and that you are in better shape for having walked 192 miles. I am sure your soul is. You are a good man.
No music is the perfect and correct way to enjoy nature. Thank you for a good video. I turned off three others because of the music and I’m now enjoying your series.
sandy love watching you in wiltshire wich is not a million miles from bordon in hampshire where i live but watching you in lakeland is fantastic having been born and bread in kendal cumbria
Hiking and sharing stories - I felt like we were just on a jolly stroll. I'm very much enjoying joining you in your adventures. The scenery is so beautiful.
Take no notice sandy as we all know it costs nothing to be nice really enjoying your videos thankyou for sharing im new to you channel ive got a bit of catching up to do very relaxing thanks again
Excellent. Wow 19 miles on the first day. That was good mileage. Your pack looks very neat and compact. Would be great to see a video on what was in your pack. Thanks for sharing
So glad I discovered your channel today. No music, what a refreshing change. I have done the C2C twice and hope to be doing it again next year. There's something magic about it that keeps calling me back! Thanks for the upload, I look forward to seeing more.
Thanks for taking us along with you Sandy. Good call not adding music and allowing this beautiful land speak for itself! Looking forward to part 2 of your awesome adventure. ATVB. Take care mate, Steve. 👍👍
I love the honesty and simplicity of your videos, I have many happy memories of the lake district and thank you for sharing...your burners are complicated...I prefer GAZ...:)
Thanks for sharing. I did the coast to coast back in 1987, I too backpacked and camped all the way. Its a tough old walk. Wainwright sure liked his hills. 👍
Superb documentary of your walk Sandy, so much to see, lots of people met and more memories made. Loved the feel of the filming and really looking forward to part two and more.
I like the videos that you do hiking/camping on your own where you just chat to the camera. You're a mine of information, keep up the good work in 2020!
What a wonderful trip Sandy. Thank you for allowing us to accompany you, the landscapes are so beautiful if you have the luck to see lovely sunny summer weather like you did! Years ago I climbed Scafell Pike solo and it rained all day with no views anywhere through the mists. Fortunately I met up with a walker with a GPS Garmin device which allowed us to safely come off the mountain. Can't wait for the next installments! Thanks for posting and best wishes.
Great video - looking forward to the rest of the walk. I did the C2C solo over 25 years ago! I hope everyone realises how much effort you put into your videos, especially the "walk in to/out of" camera shots. Must add quite a few extra steps every time.
It was a privilege for you to be there Sandy and a privilege for me to watch. That was great. You know how to relax! Looking forward to part 2 now and the Red Squirrel, which was the one animal my Paul wanted to see out of all animals in nature. Good going. Mark.
Very enjoyable trip there Sandy. It was a pleasant video without any music blasting in the background. Beautiful scenery and very interesting to see the sights with you. I am very much looking forward to the next part. As always, thanks for taking your camera along and sharing your adventure with us my friend. All the best to you and your family.
Brilliant video Sandy. Considering the Lake District is the wettest area in the country, you struck some fantastic weather. I remember the Fish & Chips at Shap! Walk on man! Noel
Ah No I didn't know that Noel. Now I do. Your going to get a mention in part two:) As for the weather, I was fortunate indeed as it was dry mostly apart from the very last day when it absolutely lagged it down!
Great video Sandy. It is certainly a gorgeous bit of country. Am also greatly impressed with the level of fitness you must have to take on those hills.
A very beautiful place the Lake district I spent many happy days and weeks there I'm looking forward to seeing part 2. And excellent photography work Sandy 👍
What a delightful video Sandy and looks a fantastic walk with lots of hills to keep the heart pumping. Well done. That campsite in Shap looked a handy one for a good night with a few pints and easy to roll home.
Brilliant video Sandy. We were in and around Buttermere last month. Awesome scenery. Love the raw video with no music. Looking forward to the next part.
Wainwright’s Last Words: ‘I am the last person qualified to preach to others, but I offer to readers three injunctions for their future visits to Lakeland where I hope they will find the pleasures I found: to avoid accidents and always to watch where you are putting your feet; to be kind to animals and respect their dignity; and, third, to stop griping and to count your blessings every night at the close of every day. From a slippered retirement, goodbye.’ Wainwright in the Valleys of Lakeland, Introduction.
