I did this walk 8 years ago but have not seen it mentioned anywhere since. Got hopelessly lost twice but it was a brilliant adventure and beautiful trail. Thank you for bringing it back to life again for me.
😂😂😂 “for all you Americans out there, it’s a bath in a wall- get over it!” Brilliant. Only us Brits see stuff like that as normal! Classic episode Hazy 👌 Big metal death parrot made me snort so much I had to get my hanky out!
Hey Hazey. Thanks mate. Woke up this morning with the stirrings of a Black Dog Day, with very little spark to start the day and face work. Watched the first 10 minutes of your latest whilst hiding from the world, and I wouldn't say I sprung out of bed like those gates you were tackling, but your video put a smile on my face and I crawled out of bed with a 'medic!' (which made me chuckle) and got through the morning. Just watched the rest with a brew at my desk to get away from spreadsheets, and by God, you have made the difference. Thank you!
Hazy, your videos bring me such insane amounts of joy I can't even tell you. Thank you so much for continuing to bring smiles to the faces of thousands :) Lots of love matey x
The Green Dragon at Hardraw closed suddenly in September 2022. It is still closed now (Apr 23). The campsite and tearoom are still operating. It was a great pub with many musical events. Your videos always amuse and entertain us - more please.
Watching this is like watching all my favourite childhood spots! I’ve been all around the world but no doubt when I come to settle it’ll be done in Yorkshire! Miss that place
Really appreciate the regular posting Hazey! My weekend always starts off well when I get to wake up and enjoy one of your vids with a coffee and a croissant!
Hi Hazey, love your adventures and thrilled to know you and Fern will be having many many more adventures with a doggie. I'm unable to hike but love to see what you get up to. Bramble for a girly or scout for a boi . That's my two penneth anyroad x
My mum's a dog trainer and she always says you've got to name your dog something you can bellow across a field or through a forest. So Twig suits that perfectly. Maybe Twiglet for full name and Twig for short? Can't wait to watch the little one joining the adventures!
I stayed in the pub called the drovers Arms that’s what it was called on the series. I think it’s real name is something different but that was about 25 years ago stayed in a four poster bed upstairs and they had 36-year-old Mcallan whiskey. what a treat that was. I want to go back to Askrigg now after seeing this Paul, thank you very much.
A wonderful journey with you Hazy, Thank you. Took me back to a childhood holiday where we also stopped to visit Hardraw Force which I spotted on your map time ❤ Always a pleasure to watch one of your videos. Thank you as always for putting them all together. 🙂
Aysgarth Falls, stunning and used in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves when he had to pay the toll to cross the river for those that are interested. Brilliant video as always 🙏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
Beautiful as always, Haze...love all your videos. Also, how exciting for you guys to be getting a puppy! It's safe to say, if you can train a Robin, you can have a pups trail trained in no time. Thanks again for doing what you do.❤
It's truly lovely to see you walk along the Pennine way me and my dog Bella bob walked it the year before last a true bonding moment for us both and a brilliant adventure. And still today I will never forget the feeling of pure freedom walking 289 miles and wild camping the whole way! Keep up the adventures haze your a everyday reminder of freedom!
Love the pups name options,I lost my whippet last year,I called him Twig known by everyone as twiglad,,the pup will give you more than anyone could ever dream to bud
Wow, Haze what a feast for my eyes. Seeing you basking in your own back yard, the scenery, wildlife and oh my word mate that sunset. Thanks for inviting us all on this epic and wonderful journey....mate your the best. 🌄
You're giving me the idea and courage to do the two moors way...Been watching for years but I ever done any long hikes across two moors. Will be a great adventure hopefully I'll discover a bit about myself I didn't know or was long forgotten. It's somttbjngy I need to do for the mind and body..
Looks great walking and a really enjoying watch.. Why have I never been to the Yorkshire Dales!! On my to-do list after watching this. Keep up the good 'work'... 🤠
I bloody love watching your vids, they always come across very true. You definitely inspire more than any other UA-camrs. I’ll always support your adventures ❤❤❤❤ (love your vids with Fern too, good to see you in a good place) 🎉 xx
Me and my g/f did this walk two weeks ago and loved it. You inspired us to do it Mr Haze, thank you 🙏 There was a lot more to see on the high route though, passing through ghost towns of mining communities long gone. Thanks again, your videos are so inspiring. You’re right about this walk though. Far too many gates and medics 😫
Thanks for the shoutout for my band mate. Our self named EP "Big Metal Death Parrot" about to be released. Available at all dodgy corner shops near you soon
I love these multi day treks that you film. I’ve been thinking of doing the Herriot Way so I’m really interested in following this one. Also thankfully I’m not a “unit” so I should be able to squeeze through those gates! Keep up the good work Paul 🙏
We have three black labs, oscar, ebony and pepper. Our 1st black lab was called 'nibbler' but he fell off a cliff and had to be put down. Broke our hearts. So for a male dog it would be 'nibbler' but a female pup I'd call her 'hazel'. Its a type of wood and she would be forever yours mr haze!,
Me and four buddies are flying in on Wednesday to start the Herriot Way…with limited training, think this is a feasible goal? Can’t wait to see the countryside. I enjoy your videos.
Good luck with your c2c mate I'm setting off on the 1st June to finish the Cleveland way as I only made it to Robin hood's Bay so I'm doing it all again instead of finishing rhb to filey
My da used to talk about the Dales and so thanks very much for this video. I really got a feel for the place….and my noggin appreciated the Spring vid. Cheers mate
Yet another great installment 😊 I'm not the smallest of people so those gates would have been a nightmare. Oh and I managed to get out for a camp, it's been nearly a year since my last which is due to my shift's. Anyway I developed a little bit of cramp in my lower right calf muscle. Got up the next morning to find my whole lower leg swollen. Gradually turned black and blue all over. Very bad muscle strain/rip. Fault is my own as I did not exercise enough. Lesson learned (Forgot the 7 P's)...Oh and the link doesn't seem to work for the pump?
Ace video again Haze! Super cute pups, can't wait to see yours join the crew and grow up with you and Fern! Bracken, Cedar or Twiglet would get my vote, but you'll know the name when the time comes 🥰
Yes another adventure love it 🫡🏴 those water falls at the story look like the scene from Robin Hood prince of thieves wee he fights little John. Had a flash back to the 90s
Yet another joyous video, beautiful surroundings you’re a blessing you really are! Thank you 🙏🏻 As for dog names I’ve always fancied’Stay’ come here Stay haha 😛
'Medic' would be a great name for the puppy.
Imagine though! Just shouting MEDIC in the dog park and people looking to call an ambulance
@@HazeOutdoors 🤣🤣wouldn't it be fun!
Great that hazy lad Mechanic 😂😂😂😂😂
Too tempting 😂
How about Tyke? @@HazeOutdoors
Liam brown yesterday the legend that is hazy today now this is what we like to see thats my night sorted🙌
‘Latch’ has got to be a good name for your dog!
We have a wild hedgehog called Twiglet. We raised it from an orphan and then let it go. She has returned and made her home in the garden shed. 😊
Couldn't help but notice you weren't complaining about too many gates until a cow tested your bottle and you bricked it😂😂😂 great video as always 👍
You saying I was shook? 😂
NEVER!
@@HazeOutdoorsyou absolutely crumbled mate 😂
@@HazeOutdoors Completely bottled it, those Yorkshire cows were double hard though. 🐮
Don't you just love how the wood on those gates gets polished smooth by all the hands opening them. Love how that feels.
That waterfall at 23:00 was like something from Zelda. If you walk through it you get a heart
Was watching thinking 'is he gonna 'medic' that car? Nah, went next level and 'MECHANIC!'d it instead 😂
Ah, James Herriot. I loved that series.
Always found the country site beautiful.
Thanks for taking me there again 😊
Best dog name 'SUTCLIFFE' good old Yorkshire name. Sounds good when you're shouting it in the park.
I did this walk 8 years ago but have not seen it mentioned anywhere since. Got hopelessly lost twice but it was a brilliant adventure and beautiful trail. Thank you for bringing it back to life again for me.

Brilliant video as always 🙏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
My other half is from Aysgarth and is actually an extra in that scene!
Knew I recognised it. Robin Hood Prince of Thieves with Kevin Costner, they have a staff fight there 😂 quality.

“Mechaniiiiic!” A quality touch Hazy. 🤣

I work at the MOD for a fighter jet (the F35) and will forever now call it the "big metal death parrot" 🤣
