Got this tv and hired an installer through the Samsung website and set up to have them come out 5 days after it was supposed to get here in the morning. Now there’s a delay and of course the tv can be delivered just a few hours after my installation appointment. Try to reschedule and it’s 2 more weeks out. Then I think why am I going through all this. I installed a movable wall mount and the same size tv last time. I can do this. So here I am. Grew up with an extremely handy and mechanical brother and sister, so I’ve always thought of myself as incapable. But forget that! I’ve been doing all kinds of stuff since I bought my house 2 years ago. Thanks for the video. It’s very straightforward
Great installation video! My wife and I treated ourselves to the same 75” Frame TV that you demonstrated. I’ve hung a number of flat screen TV’s over the years, bet never a Frame. I didn’t know about the separate controller box-it makes total sense with the overall design of the TV. Now I’ll be able to get the installation location prepped properly Thanks, again!
Seems like B the Installer is really the best installation coach on UA-cam! For a non-handy guy like me super helpful. Thanks a lot and continue to motivate us to understand how things are done properly.
The One Wire is a game changer to replace existing TV with prior premiere installs having all the ports and boxes already installed behind the TV and client wanting TV to be flush to wall. Good to know that reworking wall and old wires will add time to install. One Wire looks great for new location. Thanks for the how to tips! I had not done a flush mount until today and the client has stuff from old system. Good job on everything!
I'm an installer and have done this tv once before. I have another one to do today and wanted to brush up on it. Your video is nice and detailed. This video will help me move faster during installation. I just wonder how in the world does Samsung push all of that power and data through a single cable!
Super helpful video - thank you! Just a heads up for those who have a 50 inch frame - the measurements provided by Samsung were materially off for the measurement labelled "D" for my TV (2022 frame, 50inch). It states 566mm on the sheet, but it is actually more like 547mm-ish. I would recommend doing the following before using the Samsung measurement blindly: place the brackets on the TV in the exact same position that B The Installer does at the start of the video (with the screw in the middle of the 3 leaf clover thingy). Then, with your TV resting on the ground, attach the wall brackets to the TV bracket and position it how it would theoretically hang on the wall. Perform the 'D' measurement manually with a tape measure to confirm the true measurement. This was 547mm for me and not the 566mm stated. This might not be a huge difference, but I had some drywall holes near the lower end of my desired final TV hanging space and if I had used Samsung's 566mm provided measurement, the holes would have showed. Anyway - good luck all, thanks again for the video!
Thank you for this very helpful video! Your demo is 100% better than the instructions from Samsung - it enabled us to the Frame TV above our fireplace mantle without any issues.
I noticed you installed the toggle bolts in horizontally versus vertically. For the correct weight load distribution, the metal tabs need to be vertical to support the advertised weight of the toggle bolt. That is very important. Installing them with the metal tab horizontally reduces the weight the toggle can support and could cause a heavier tv to fall off the wall. Just an FYI. I use to install these in best buy stores for years.
Just so everyone is clear on this... 1. The toggle bolts will hold most weight vertically, but if you have two, one above the other... the metal hits metal when placing them vertically so it's best to angle them a little. 2. The weight of this tv is not a concern, 4 toggle bolts can hold a 300 LB tv, which this is not. Glad people enjoy the video and are saying attention. 😀 ✌️
Compreshensive intructional video. Thanks! Even without the template, using the Samsung provide directions he references: A=3.2 down and B= 8.6 in or whatever, along with this made the install clear. Then double check with the template, if you have it. As he mentions in the video, as long as the two brackets are the right distance apart (also a letter-identified measurement on the Samsung diagram, the self-leveling capacity of the brackets sliding on the slippery stick-on pieces should level it out. Don't be afraid! You got this. TIP: Depending on the size of the screw head you use, you might want to buy some smallish washers. The large-headed black screws provide are fine, if you're fastening to a stud. However, the oblong holes in the mounting plates are fairly wide, up and down, and small screw heads slip right through.
Thanks for this amazing video. We bought a 65" open-box Frame last weekend, and, using this video I was able to put it up on the wall with no issues! Also, thanks for the zoom of the B and D measurements so I could get them for my TV!
Thank you for your expert guidance. We followed your directions and were successfully able to mount our 55-inch Frame TV. Much better than the directions provided by Samsung!
Thanks! Got it done in under an hour thats to your video. Appreciate the simplicity while still touching on everything needed to get it done accurately.
Make sure you put the black plastic film in the square pockets. It is used as a slider after all is installed on the wall. It let's you do a final level just like a picture on the wall. Hope Samsung reads some of the comments. There are tiny fixes that need to be made.
Subscribed! Thankful! You have helped so much! 2 Questions 1) Can you use a different drill bit for 3/16in toggle bolts? I only have 1/4in as my biggest bolt. 2) What drill bit do you use if you have a stud? This would be helpful to help me finish.
This is the video I've been looking for. Just bought a 85 inch qn900a with the slim fit wall mount and I was completely lost on how to install the wall mount. Keep making great content!!
Hung up my 2022 Frame thanks to your videos. I did a bunch of research and found an easy solution for the One-Wire. I used "Thermoflex Flexo F6 Flame Retardant, 3/8" (1/4" would work too) around the One-Wire. Easier than a plastic conduit. Obviously, you can just not do anything, but thought I'd share another solution. Also, have you had an issue with the TV not sitting flush against the wall within the bracket? Mine looks like it's very slightly angled down. I read online that some people have had a problem with this. I don't want to force the TV all the way down in the bracket for fear of damaging the TV.
I recently installed our model (thanks b the installer!!!) and did some poking around prior to hanging the TV up. The hook that goes onto the mount need to "click" when you slide it on vertically. Those metal tabs on the mount makes the hook snug once it's in place, so you can't just slide the TV on and let it rest against the wall. You need to pull it down when sliding the hooks hang onto the mount and hear some clicks (which means the tabs have made room for the hooks). I think a fix for your current setup is to slide your TV up, angle it outwards to get some viewing room where the hooks are, and slide it back down and listen for the click. You need to use a little force 😅 but I get that it can be scary. Best of luck!! Mine is flush against the wall after doing the above 😄
Fantastic instructional video. Thanks! Definitely use the longer screws for the part of the mount that screws into the back of the tv if you have electrical or hdmi outlets on the wall that the tv will be hanging over. He mentions this towards the end of the video, but in case anyone doesn’t make it that far…
Amazing video, much more confident now. You had to level the TV after hanging it. Does that mean you have a little wiggle room after hanging it as well, without adjusting the back brackets?
Your videos helped me have the confidence to feel like i knew what I was talking about with my professional installers! We got the tv center to the wall when our studs were 24” to center and couldn’t hit a stud and I’m glad we got the toggle bolts so there was no excuse
I’m gonna be honest here, I’d highly recommend not trusting just toggle bolts for these mounts. Typically, we will use them for one side of the plate as long as we can also hit a stud on the other. If you are using just toggles, and you are between studs on both sides of a mount plate, your tv is only being held up by the integrity of that one section of drywall. Maybe not an issue for lighter frame tvs, but anything 65” or bigger and I’d want to get at least one stud on each side. Also, you should never be putting non in-wall rated wires behind your walls. EVER! Those one connect cables are delivering power to your tv. It’s pushing 120volts up to the tv, and you don’t want to play around with that if something goes wrong. Wire molding is inexpensive and paintable, or buy the proper in-wall rated cable from Samsung. If either of those just won’t please you, then hire an electrician to run a proper cable conduit up to the area large enough to pass through the smaller of the two ends on the one connect cable.
Definitely get that in-wall rated cable. Yes I know it seems like a pain, cuz it is, but in the event of a home fire, it could end up being the difference between your insurance company covering it or not. Definitely worth the price then. To be honest, with how Samsung seems to intend for this to be installed, I think it's kinda stupid that they even supply a cable that isn't in-wall rated and then make you buy the other one for an extra fee. Just supply every one with the in-wall rated cable so people don't get confused.
The in-walp cable is much thicker and looks bad externally. The thin wire they provide is barely visible if outside wall. This is at least 1 year ago anyways. The one wire is thicker on other models.
@BTheInstaller I am confused! There must be two separate cables! One is the cable that runs from the ONE Connect Box to the TV and the other is the power cord that runs from the ONE Connect Box to the power outlet. If run within walls, would not both of these cables need to be in-wall rated? Now, we intend to mount a box behind the television to house the One Connect Box. To just run the cable from the tv to the One Connect Box that sits directly behind the tv, I would not think an in-wall rated cable would be required. Or would it? That still leaves the power cord that runs from the Box to the wall outlet. Is this power cord in-wall rated or must one be purchased? Thanks for your help.
What size low voltage box would be needed to mount the one connect box inside the wall behind the 85" Samsung Frame? Thanks for ALL the help you give us DIYers!
Did you ever figure out the low voltage box size and where did you purchase it? My daughter needs me to mount her controller in a recessed box since it is being mounted over a fireplace and she has nowhere to put the controller other than in a recess.
@@JT_70 I decided to go a different route. But I did find this on Amazon…”Legrand - OnQ 17 Inch Media Enclosure”…but I didn’t use it, so double check that it will work.
Great video. Tonnes of help. Will do the install myself now. Strongly suggest people play around with the wall bracket piece and the square tv bracket before installing them to the wall and t.v.. You'll see how to hang the tv bracket, close the bracket, then raise it slightly to see how the magnet in the tv bracket strongly grabs the tv bracket to the wall bracket. Pretty cool how it is designed. You'll also see how to lift the bottom of the tv bracket to get it to release from the wall bracket.
Thanks for the well done video. I just bought a new frame TV. I'll be installing it myself. The spot above my fireplace a niche that was meant for the old tune TVs, so that will add a bit of a challenge for the mounting brackets. Once the tv is mounted it will hide the niche.
Hey awsome video. I am going to be mounting my 55" fram tv onto a plaster wall above fireplace mantel. Behind the plaster is brick chimney. Would you have any tips on what to use for mounting this way?
Great video. Interesting that the one connect box cable is not wall rated as a lot of people are going to want to hide it in a wall. It seems as though Samsung made a wall version, but I can’t seem to find one to purchase. Is there a workaround for this or do you basically have to go against code to do it?
@BTheinstaller I have a customer who wants to put F TV over the GAS fireplace. This fireplace HAS a chimney to the roofline. There is a window on each side of the fireplace which means there will be at least 4 1/2" of lumber between the window. You have made it look so easy she didn't understand why I couldn't simply run the wire into the wall and out at the bottom. Can you come to Michigan and explain? LOL
I just installed a Samsung The Frame 55" and found the included instructions and template to be awful. As far making it easy to mount the tv where you want it - if you, say, think you want to mount it 61" on center from the floor, the template isn't marked to show you how far up from the brackets you're mounting that the tv will sit It doesn't even give you a centering line. And I would say most people want to know how far off the ground the tv will sit or if it's centered on a wall or in a particular space. I should also note: I'm a carpenter and I mount a lot of tvs for clients as a courtesy after punch listing a job, so it's not like this was my first rodeo. I got it done - no thanks to Samsung - but for the many DIYers out there who might not have the experience, you're video should be a big help.
Great Installation Video, well done! That said, I am looking to replace my 2010 Vintage LG TV but was hoping I could re-use my pre-existing mount as it is attached to a brick fireplace wall.
Mate.... Moved into our new home, (my missus and I) bought a frame tv, we're wanting to put up acoustic panel slats on our TV wall. Your vid has helped out heaps. With the slats being 20ml thick, I'm thinking the flush wall mount won't suffice. Any thoughts on raised mounts that will work with the Frame tv 65inch?? New fan and subscriber from Darwin NT Australia 🇦🇺 Ps: Don't spose you do outcalls to Aus? Cheers mate 👍
Thank you for the video. Great instructions. I drilled in 3 toggle bolts you recommended but on 2 of them, the screw doesn't grab on to the back end. It's just loose. Only 1 of the toggle bolts grabs on and I can tighten that one. Any idea why the other 2 don't tighten correctly?
Super helpful video that clears up some of my questions. But I’m planning to install my Samsung 55” Frame TV on a wall with wood panelling. Any suggestions about working on this uneven surface?
It's too bad samsung split the wall bracket up into 2 small parts, if it were one big one you would have been able to drill right into studs and the whole install would have been a lot easier.
This, as all things in the world, is explained by money. If they were to have one single piece, they would have to make different mounts for all tv sizes. Having two pieces, they are one size fits all. Easier and cheaper production
I used your video to hang my 2 frame TVs 65” And 55” but now I wonder if all this was necessary. Have you seen the 3M Claw 65 hooks? It’s crazy that you could used two of these to hang a frame TV into drywall only… and have almost no mark on the wall of you ever took it down.
After checking out those toggle bolts you recommended, it says right on the package "Do not use for mounting televisions".... curious why you use them then?
Hello from Netherlands! I have almost the same configuration (same anchors and same wall mount). However, I'm still unsure about hanging my 85" Samsung on the drywall. Do you think it's safe with 85" as well?
We use toggle bolts on plaster and lath to hang floating shelves that hold books. They work great! We haven’t installed our mount yet but plan on using toggle bolts.
Probably worked this out already but if it's 3mm at the bottom and 25mm at the top, the hooks are probably not snapping down into the bottom part of the latch. It requires more force than reasonably expected. A Samsung forum poster recommends removing the hooks from the TV to snap them on and off a couple of times before handing the TV.
My microphone is off but I’ve already hung the TV. It’s a 2024 Frame TV bought in April 2024. Where do I find the microphone switch on the back of the TV, and can it be reached without taking the tv off the wall?
depending on the tv size, you can pull it away from the wall as it's still on the brackets, then you can reach the button - google "removing frame tv from slim mount"...

Hello, I can’t seem to get my tv flat and I never heard the click of the magnet. Is there anything else that I am missing?

This was unbelievably helpful. Thank you!
wasn't there a video on putting the cable in a flexible conduit? link please!
Just an awesome video. So easy to follow and so much better than the instructions. Thanks you!
Thank you. I wouldn't have been able to do this with the printed instructions. But with your help I have my TV secured to the wall. Thanks.

glad to hear about the one connect box... would have been screwed for my setup on a brick wall fireplace
Do you have a video mounting the frame TV to a swivel mount? What’s the best way to mount the wall pieces to a swivel mount?
That One Connect Box is a must-have! I can’t believe Samsung dropped the OneCB on the flagship models for a couple of yours. Pissed me off.
Thanks for the well done video. I just bought a new frame TV. I'll be installing it myself. The spot above my fireplace a niche that was meant for the old tune TVs, so that will add a bit of a challenge for the mounting brackets. Once the tv is mounted it will hide the niche.

Thanks for taking the time and do the video! I know these come with instructions but reading is a hassle LOL Better watch a video!
Do you have a link for the toggle bolts your using. I’m installing a The Frame 55”
Any suggestions for mounting over a fireplace given the required use of the 1 connect box.

Just bought two 85” Frame tvs (2022) and having them professionally installed next week
I wanted the 85” Frame, but I got the 75” instead. I couldn’t bring myself to spend an extra $1300 over the price of the 75” for the 85” one.

LOL
Nice install!👌🏾 A white frame around the tv would look🔥🔥
Awesome Video! Thank you for the detailed demonstration :)
Is there a suggestion to insulate the wire from fires?
Great Installation Video, well done! That said, I am looking to replace my 2010 Vintage LG TV but was hoping I could re-use my pre-existing mount as it is attached to a brick fireplace wall.
Very informative thank you. I wonder if I could install one of these over the fireplace. I didn't know about that input box.
That is the issue. It would be best to have a contractor put the larger box in the wall to house the one-connect.
Awesome review, just Awesome 👏🏾 Thank you so much for showing me as a tv Installer🙏🏾
I prefer normal toggle bolts. The break off kind worry me. Nice work though B 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Hi there. Can you do a mounting installatuon for the Frame that rotates 2023 model ?
You mentioned that the tv was slightly off-level. What adjustment(s) did you make to correct it?
newbie here. so what exactly are the risks you run when running wires that are not in wall rated in the wall?

Ps: Don't spose you do outcalls to Aus?
Cheers mate 👍
Great video. Love the dust pan for the drywall dust. Question for you , how long is the one wire?
Thank you for the video. Great instructions. I drilled in 3 toggle bolts you recommended but on 2 of them, the screw doesn't grab on to the back end. It's just loose. Only 1 of the toggle bolts grabs on and I can tighten that one. Any idea why the other 2 don't tighten correctly?
Great video, I used this to install my tv. However we want to decorate and I’m struggling to get it off the wall…. Any advise?
Super helpful video that clears up some of my questions. But I’m planning to install my Samsung 55” Frame TV on a wall with wood panelling. Any suggestions about working on this uneven surface?
Recommendations for installing onto stacked stone (above a fireplace) ? Would masonry anchors be sufficient without a stud?
Excellent instructions. Better than following only the instructions from Samsung. 👍

It's too bad samsung split the wall bracket up into 2 small parts, if it were one big one you would have been able to drill right into studs and the whole install would have been a lot easier.
Exactly. Now you have to level between two separate mounts instead of one big mount. I like the lg G mount better
Agreed 💯 because if it were 1 piece 4 anchors would suffice instead of 8. So much more hassle and precision for split mounts 🤦🏻♂️
This, as all things in the world, is explained by money. If they were to have one single piece, they would have to make different mounts for all tv sizes. Having two pieces, they are one size fits all. Easier and cheaper production
It’s so you can use the same mount for different size TVs the template has marks for the different size TVs
Cost cutting
It does have an advantage being split in 2 for some folks where the outlet is centered on the wall behind the TV.
I just purchased the 2024 Samsung Frame TV 75 inch QLED 4K LSAO3D. Do you know if the installation is same as your video?
What a great video! Very thorough. Thanks!
beautiful installation, how is the product itself doing so far?
I know you don't really do soundbars but I'm interested in the s800b that goes along with this TV
Great video! Thanks for the how-to!
Where can I buy those exact anchors?

I used your video to hang my 2 frame TVs 65” And 55” but now I wonder if all this was necessary. Have you seen the 3M Claw 65 hooks? It’s crazy that you could used two of these to hang a frame TV into drywall only… and have almost no mark on the wall of you ever took it down.
After checking out those toggle bolts you recommended, it says right on the package "Do not use for mounting televisions".... curious why you use them then?

How long is the One-Wire? And what is the issue with running that behind a wall on its own? Is it a fire hazard?

Hello from Netherlands! I have almost the same configuration (same anchors and same wall mount).
However, I'm still unsure about hanging my 85" Samsung on the drywall. Do you think it's safe with 85" as well?
How did you pull conduit when I am sure there studs between the & outlet
26:20 - So you don't have to be 100% exact when drilling the mount into the wall, because you can still be able to level it out when its done?
Great video! Quick question please: Can i use a regular full motion wall mount instead of the ones supplied? I cannot mount flush to the wall.
It does have the vesa mount holes so you can use a regular wall mount also.
@@michaeloltman657 thank you so much!!

What do you recommend for a flush articulating mount?
Do you need to use the one connect box? (If only use the apps to watch tv) Thanks
Yes you do. It provides the power to the TV. It also has the brains of the TV needed for the apps.

Do you have a link on what to get to hide the Apple TV behind tv ?
Superbe démonstration !!!!! comme toujours , c est clair et précis , merci !!!!!!!!!
Can you use those large bolts on plaster and lathe?
We use toggle bolts on plaster and lath to hang floating shelves that hold books. They work great! We haven’t installed our mount yet but plan on using toggle bolts.
Help! I can't get the frame to hang 3mm from the wall as it shows in the instructions. There's almost 25mm space. :-(
Probably worked this out already but if it's 3mm at the bottom and 25mm at the top, the hooks are probably not snapping down into the bottom part of the latch.

Doing this one of the coming days. Great video
Thanks, used this for my setup and worked great.
