"Messenger from Seven Seas has flown"
"To tell the King of Rhye he's lost his throne"
I don't know if you listened to "Seven Seas of Rhye" yet, but I highly highly recommend it to you if you didn't! Another fan let me know recently Rhye was an imaginary world Freddie and Kashmira (his sister) used to fantasize about when they were children :)
Loved your reaction as always, thank you soooo much!!
Nice reaction to a great song. This was written by Freddie and is set in the Land of Rhye. A fantasy world Freddie created using several early Queen songs. The black side of Queen 2 being the best example.
Love it
Yes Queen have two great short songs Lily of the valley and Nevermore.
I just love this band so much no band even comes close to them Freddie was a musical genius in my eyes and yes he can sing his voice is my favorite voice in the world it's so beautiful just can't get enough.
Freddie was a beautiful soul
Short and Sweet
The poetic imagery was also very personal to Freddie. Brian May said in an interview: "Freddie's stuff was so heavily cloaked, lyrically... But you could find out, just from little insights, that a lot of his private thoughts were in there, although a lot of the more meaningful stuff was not very accessible. Lily of the Valley was utterly heartfelt. It's about looking at his girlfriend and realising that his body needed to be somewhere else. It's a great piece of art, but it's the last song that would ever be a hit."
I think you'll really like My Melancholy Blues. Something a bit different, hopefully you'll get to it soon. ✌
Just last night I was listening to this, "Nevermore" and "The Night Comes Down". All 3 incredibly beautiful (& short & sweet). There's something about them that soothes my spirit.
You're right to want to listen to studio versions as well as live. Queen put a lot of thought & painstaking effort into their recordings. They deserve to be listened to intently with good headphones. And then of course we can watch them having fun (& kicking ass) when they performed live. You just can't go wrong with Queen either way.💙
Short & sweet.
Yep
We know this man can sing, yes
For something totally unexpected from Queen, do "Bring Back That Leroy Brown". I can't explain it......just.....just listen. You will think it's a totally different band.
Yes, this would be a good choice.
Glad you started listening to their studio capabilities. It's a whole new world of music.
Wiki says Freddy does all the voices in this song , same with, You Take My Breadth Away and Nevermore
You take my breath away makes me cry. But it's so beautiful
@@delainepep22 --yea great song, even better than LOML. Some of the live versions are also great ie Earls Court 1977
nice reaction! you should hear queen with headphones to appreciate the switching left right sound effects
My favorite song
That was nice Traent--But you should really react to "The Millionaire's Waltz"--TRUST ME!
I second that!
yeah! and he should dance while listening :)
I'm on it
I'll keep adding my vote for Millionaire's Waltz!
Yep, been requesting that one for a bit now
Great reaction as always. Gimme The Prize has some crazy vocals and guitar. Princes of The Universe is also good, with good guitar and nice harmonies. Or you would really enjoy The Golden Boy By Freddie and Montserrat Caballe.
I think it's always good to listen to the studio version before a live version.
Another short and sweet one you will enjoy,....similar in drama and length is Nevermore! you are still just scratching the surface of what Queen has done!~~~
Man keep going like that! I love your reactions. It’s quite funny, I’m listening queen for hole my live and thanks to You I discovering something new from queen! Great job!
I like Dear Friends from the same album. All the backup vocals on that one were done by Brian. Doesn't even sound like him but it is!
Lily of the valley is great!
The end of that Song which sounds like cello is guitar.
Amazing short song with many Queen qualities, orchestrated guitar and such pleasing harmonies. I think you should listen to Sheer Heart Attack from beginning to end, without a break, then digest it and say...***** me that was awesome!...Ok, what’s next?
You should listen to '"In the lap of the gods" my favorite is the 1986 Wembley concert
Love your reactions man, you really dig music it's plain to see and I love the joy it brings. If I can make a suggestion knowing you love harmonies try 'Play the Game' studio version first, then Montreal 81 he hits some killer notes. It has great piano from Freddie which I know you love, killer guitar solo from Brian and a sick Bass line from John. I haven't seen many people reacting to Queen react to Play the Game, when it is in my opinion one of the best hits.
Whatever you decide though, I'm loving it man, keep it coming. Cheers from Australia Down Under.
For your own enjoyment, you might want to check out “Behind the Rhapsody” on YT. The band discuss the song, then Brian shows you step by step how it was made and mixed. Fascinating!!
Nevermore and Dear friends are great short ballads.
Yes! Nevermore
What about Misfire? Just a precious little thing written by our precious Deacy!
You should have listened to this song along with the other two that came before, that is to say Tenement Funster and Flick Of The Wrist. These three songs run together so the end of the first one is the beginning of the other one. What a pity you miss the chance of listening to the whole lot. Besides the harmonies in Flick Of The Wrist would have blown your mind....
thank you for the new video :-) now do "flick of the wrist" - you got time, 'cause the song was short :D
btw: the drum roll fits perfect to the lyrics, becaucse of "the king" ... good job!
Dear friends is wonderfull song!!🖤
Please Listen "is this the world we created"
Another short and sweet song by Brian: Dear Friends... also second the recommendation for Melancholy blues....
Check out “Nevermore” from Queen 2.
Great song! And there is also a short piano song from previous album called Nevermore! So please react to Queen- The Fairy Fellers Master Stroke and Nevermore!!! These two songs are connected with a piano transition on the album so You can listen to them as one song!!!
PLEASE react to Freddie Mercury..Exercises in free love. Doubt you'll hear what you expected.😂😂😂😂😂
RIP Traent.
“Why did Freddie Mercury write Bohemian Rhapsody?” on YT channel The HollyHobs
