The pitch of a disillusioned chef rediscovering his passion for fine dining by approaching it in a fresh way via being forced to cook his coworkers into fine cuisine by vampires is absolutely fucking genius my guy

Never clicked so fast! People don't talk about this movie enough. I feel like it gets overshadowed by other Dracula adaptations but I just love the way this one traps you in its own ambience. The sound design alone could be a whole video.

Your vampire movie pitch legit sounds good, it could really hold as a dark comedy lol

Hey that vampire story idea was really good, don't really know where it could go from the chef contacting with their passion again, but that was a pretty good hook

I really enjoy the original 1922 Nosferatu. The vibes are immaculate, and the story of how the film came to be and the miracle that it even still exists mostly intact for us to watch gives it a little extra oomph. I've never watched the '79 one though. This has convinced me that I have to check it out before the new one comes out.

While I love Robert Eggers (my current favorite director), I dont see him topping Herzog’s. However, it doesnt need to. The original is iconic, the Herzog one is iconic. A third solid Nosferatu with a different artistic representation, is in no way a bad thing to me, give me more!
The opening credits alone of Herzog’s version sets such a mood going in it almost feels as suffocating as it does intoxicating. Dark, ominous, and deliciously slow through Gregorian chanting and morbid real life cadaverous catacombs….friggin chef’s kiss of vampiric artistry.

Oddly specific rules is also why I like the fey! Though I prefer fey to be slightly more other than I like my vampires

Shadow of the vampire is great as well, it's about the making of the original Nosferatu and Willem Dafoe as Max Schreck absolutely kills it

The part about Dracula spreading the plague, an element that I'm fairly certain was in the original Nosferatu film and not really in the Brahm Stoker novel, is one of the more interesting and terrifying takes on a vampire that I've seen. A supernatural bloodsucker who's hard to kill is already scary; having them be a disease vector makes the whole thing worse and goes with the aesthetics.

Just saw this film for the first time last week. I really was not expecting to be so creeped out, even knowing the basic plot from the classic Nosferatu. Not to mentioned how gobsmacked I was about the sheer amount of rats on that set

Oh yes, werner Herzog and Klaus Kinski. Basicaly everyone in Germany knows this Duo as a clinicaly insane Powerhouse of German Cinema. Only Werner could tame the beast that was Klaus Kinski and get his admittedly great acting out of him.

I think the bear would be way more interesting if a bunch of vampires made Carmy turn Richie into sandwiches so I'd read the hell out of that screenplay

Night Flyer (I read both the story and saw the movie) is... King's concept was actually really neat (a vampire flies around in a small private plane, targets only small airports and landing strips, drains whoever is there and takes off again), but the movie itself was 85% trash (though the climax is great, the highlight of an otherwise lackluster movie). Night Flyer legit feels like it should have been trimmed by half and used as a Tales From the Crypt episode.

Is it possible that your dream combined the concepts of vampire hunting and the premise of the movie Holes? That movie had some supernatural rules and stipulations to it so maybe that's the connection?
