Nah this one is on blizzard same with Ensida they were just playing the game normally and something broke if anything they should just have had there world first achievements removed, but the ban was just unnecessary
I am new to wow and I am honestly shocked a PVE exploit that was found accidentally is being taken this seriously. Hell most exploits I am familiar with were at least exploited a couple times for funsies by the guy that found it before being sent to the devs. It would be different if they were deliberately exploiting something or if it was pvp or both.
From what I gathered after reading a bunch of people's opinions, it wasn't as much about the discovery of the exploit, rather the continued use of it in a competitive setting coupled with trying to cover up evidence of them using said exploit (You know how I feel from the video lol, just re-iterating what I've heard from others).
Personally i dont like the race to world first meta. Its based on speed running but not in a healthy way. Its not about the fastest kill overall. Its about who can no life the game the most in a set period of time. It doesnt encourage competitiveness after the world first was achived. And dont get me wrong. During Cata i tried for world first (never achived it but it was fun trying at the time because i had a lot of fun). But the more you think about it the less sens it makes that the game doesnt time the boss kills (like M+ timers or similar) and give you a achievement if you killed it the fastest in the season or smth. Im not good with technicalities but thats what i would want and what i think would encurage more competitiveness. So TLDR: Rework race to world first and i dont care if they get punished because its a joke competitiveness in itself.
This is like 70% of where I'm at too. The other 30% is leaning towards a lighter punishment since it was livestreamed and blizzard has popped a lot of people in the past for similar things.
Does not affect vault for 1 week though... Let's say they stop playing right then and there, the loot from a killed boss is forever unlocked!... Regardless if you kill the boss again at any point.. Just gotta kill enough bosses in mythic to unlock the vault. But yeah.... It's also like blizzards 657th raid related bug this patch as well.... Asking people to stop playing the game because the shit they released doesn't fucking work is also like.... What are you even paying for at that point.
I mean, then go play classic? It exists. I love vanilla too, but no offense these throwaway takes of “retail bad” are tired and lazy. I’d go as far to say that regardless of temporary bugs, the current raid tier has phenomenal mechanics and really entertaining fights. It’s a great opening act for War Within. But with that out of the way - the Anniversary Event? That I can complain about.
you like what you like, that's fair. Personally, i think running through a raid with no mechanics, no skill-ceiling and a reward that doesn't matter, because the content is too easy, got boring REALLY quick. Hell MC was cleared with a full group og level 57-60's in greens and blues. Even a random mob pack in current TWW dungeons has more interesting and numerous mechanics than all of MC and BWL.
Why are you lying about Ensidia? They didn't "figure out a neat little trick" of using saronite bombs. They were using saronite bombs as part of their rotation. Everyone was. It was off the GCD and did good damage. So obviously people would use them. Especially raiders. So you going on and on about how they were obviously exploiting and obviously knew what was happening is just you lying. OR you are utterly clueless, read one post about the situation from someone who had malicious intent and now parrot that same lie. The huge difference between that case and this: that was random and didn't make the boss into a target dummy. It sometimes reduced a mechanic's impact. So yea. I really dislike people who rely on their audience not doing their due diligence and take their word about things to this level, so that they can just lie about things.
Hey man this video is a trimmed version of a much longer livestream segment where I went into all of this. I even pulled up the exact forum post they made right after the ban on MMO champion from back in the day. While I certainly take blame for disconnect in the editing style, you could have communicated that in a much better way that didn’t involve making accusations about myself of my audience.

race is over and we are like midway through the season. it affects vault for 1 week. who cares. thats my take

Miss old wow, this season shit is for the birds. I'd take OG MC/BWL any day of the week over the crap the game has now.
