Great video! Thanks for the support! The small gap in the bottom part is due to the increase thickness of the steering wheel. This is pretty normal in a steering wheel with a V-shape design in the bottom, even with the other brands that we do has this. As much as possible, we minimize this by reducing the clear coat material in that area. Thanks for your honest feedback!
Just got this and it's awesome. Can't beat the price. I've ordered wheels that cost twice as much for other cars that have issues with uneven carbon fiber, crooked and uneven grip, etc. When I ordered, they emailed me that day to see if I was interested in one of the wheels they had on hand so they could ship it that day.
Well I thought my steering wheel was fine in my CX30 until I watched this video. This new wheel is completely bad ass man. Great job and thank you for the video.
Piece of cake. I'm looking at one of these wheels in the future, but doing the magnetic paddle shifters (mine has the squishy OEM ones) much sooner and that involves pulling the wheel. Thanks for the great video!
Man so glad you did this video. I’ve seen people in Japan doing this but haven’t been able to find a video here in the states that breaks down an install.
I was checking there steering wheels out too, they look clean but the fact that the bottom of the frame doesn’t line up and it just came straight outta the box.. . I would let them know but that me and what I’d do. Definitely wana look into getting an aftermarket steering wheel in the future for myself. At the moment I’m going to order a CorkSport exhaust soon. Great video man 👍🏽
would be cool to see a installment of paddle shifters if u ever decide to do it. Just need new bottom plastic, and shifters with wires, original wiring has places for the shifters since some models have shifters too. red aluminium shifters would look mean on this
@@MrBurgerPal im not 100% sure, but i have seen video installing these, and connectors are the same on every years model. If there arent, then guiding 2 or 3 wires from the shifter to steering wheel is also possible, little more hassle tho
Any advice on how to get the bottom clip undone for the air bag? I can’t get it for some reason, I literally don’t even see a clip when I try looking with a flash light
Great video thank you ! After I installed it in my 2023 CX30 exactly how you did, I got this message on the dashboard “Safety and Driver Support System Partially Disabled “ ? Any idea what happened ?
Great video I have an older mazda and wanna upgrade the fat wheel to a thiner wheel. What was your overall experience with the place you bought the wheel from?
Negative. I guess if there was a tremendous amount of static then it could be possible. When we install airbags in the manufacturing process we do wear ESD bands around around the heels of our shoes but it’s primarily because of the other electronics and testing equipment in the area. We receive the airbags in cardboard boxes which are well known for producing static but again it would have to be an abnormally high static to cause these newer technology airbags to trigger.

Does a paddle shifter kit install well with the carbon wheels?

Thank you for doing this, it was super helpful.
Thank you so much for the help. Great video!

Does this affect the alignment? How do you know if you've put the wheel back in the exact same spline?
Its keyed. You only can put the steering wheel on one way
I would like to have a dedicated voice assistant button on the steering wheel, which I haven't got on my Mazda 3

What do you mean by bottom plastic? So you’re saying a 2019 mazda3 should have the connectors already built in to add paddle shifters?

Hi! Would you mind briefly show how did you remove the airbag please?? Was it easy??
Nice job 👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻

Great video! How’s your Mazda3 still running?
Great video thank you ! After I installed it in my 2023 CX30 exactly how you did, I got this message on the dashboard “Safety and Driver Support System Partially Disabled “ ? Any idea what happened ?
What was problem?
I have a 2023 cx-30 turbo premium, is there any difference between the steering wheels? NEED to know! Great video!
Not really. It comes apart exactly the same. You just have the paddles on the back of your steering wheel.
Could you please share the link where to buy it?
Great video I have an older mazda and wanna upgrade the fat wheel to a thiner wheel. What was your overall experience with the place you bought the wheel from?
Positive
Did the buttons fit back in securely with the broken pin?
yeah
Does the new steering wheel come with a air bag
No
If your OEM wheel had heating...
You'll lose it with is mod?
You will have to buy heating module as well. They have it on their website.
Couldn’t the airbag go off if you have static on your hand?

Does replacing the steering wheel affect the warranty?
No
You pretty much showed nothing that how you remove the bottom shit on the steering wheel

does mikstore have legit carbon fiber or are they fake
My steering wheel is legit carbon fiber
Great video! How’s your Mazda3 still running?
