Thanks a million, Casey! I'm using a Wacom pen tool and was confused about which key to hold when dragging it to draw a mask. Thanks to your easy-to-follow teaching, I've learned and now know which key to use.
Thanks Casey every time I click your videos I know that I will learn something new ... I've learned some SHORTCUTS : Shift + S ( smooth ) Shift + L ( linear ) Hold S ( scale ) Hold T ( twist ) Hold X ( x axis scale ) Hold Y ( y axis scale ) Thanks again ...
Fantastic, incredibly helpful. Now can you please help me with the other half of what you were doing: navigating around the image. I've figured out scrolling by pushing the middle-button/scroll-wheel, but how did you control the zooming so finely? The dropdown options on the top left are really limited, just a few percentage sizes are available.
I remember seeing a game that I think adobe had for using the bezer tool, it was like a video game to get you fast at masking. It works the same in DR and most other software.
Casey, I learned so much from your videos. I want to learn how to use Fusion, but it is so complicated. Your tips relieve the stress. Do you offer classes?
Hi Casey: I'm wondering what you did to be able to see both the polygon in action & the MediaIn footage underneath without turning one or the other off. That trick is confusing.
Is there a way we can offset the timecode in the timeline?! If the video is starting with a title card and we want to start the timecode after the title card and from the first frame of the video ( to burn in to the video for edit conforming)
Casey: Thank you, sir, for another very helpful video. I’m about to purchase a pen and tablet for my own studio. I am “casting about” for preferred pens/tablets and thought I’d ask you: What is your preferred pen and tablet for rotoscoping and masking? Thanks again, Casey.🙏🏼
Omg I was struggling with this the other day. It's as if your video was talking to ME... and only me! Sorry guys but Casey made this video only for me. I'll let you watch it tho. Nah, seriously tro, thank you. My dog died a few days ago and I was trying to do some cutouts and post her picture in Discord and get some pity and sympathy. I needed some virtual hugs.
Obvious follow up: combining masks with booleans so you can mask the window with a static mask, and then cut out head, hair, hands that go in front of it with their own masks that can be animated independently. :)
You seem a bit flat today, hope you're okay, perhaps you needed to fill up that coffee cup 😅 I love your content and the personality that comes with it. Keep up the great work.
Hello brother ! I am unable to import audio into da vinchi ... I literally tried everything, converted it to many formats , renamed and everything.... Still unable to import audio 😢 Plz help 🥺🙏🏻

The default animation of masks has been a major annoyance in my life for years! I had no idea it could be turned off, THANK YOU!!!!!
It's illustrator in DaVinci, now I am very familiar with that! Easy peezy. 😊😉

I use a Huion Kamvas 4K display. Love it.
As Casey said, Huion are the sweet spot. Much better than XP-Pen, but not so expensive as Wacom. I am also looking after one @4K.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog. Virtual hugs to you.
@@CaseyFaris Thank you sir. : (
By the way, do you have a Discord?
We do have a Discord server. It's available to folks who purchase any of our Pro courses on our website: www.groundcontrol.film

Why would you NOT want the mask to be animated, in a moving video? Now Im even more confused

Dropping ancient secrets here. 👍
