I love my Tilta Mirage Matte boxes. I have two. Though, I prefer to use the 95mm Vaxis ND's as they have zero color cast.
Cinefade has been doing this for years, except their version can be synced between two motors, one for nd and one for aperture so you can make depth of field shallow or deep on the subject all while keeping the same exposure. Although their version costs thousands more. Interested to see if this one can be rigged like that.
How's the size compared to Tilta Mini Matte Box? looks like the best matte box so far in my opinion.

Only issue with VND is that they always have a color cast. Good for LB docs or R&G.
What about the test for Color Cast? Bummer you did not add that in the video. I saw several videos showing it has quite a bit.. I will stick with my NISI True Color ND's and they also make a similar matte box like this one. But the Tilta looks nice. Only if it had no color cast it would be even better.
Nisi is great but it only has 2 slots and (now) no possibility to add more. Tilts dies not have this limitation.
Hello can you give me information about the Mount holder for the side motor
The only issue I'm having with the unit is the battery, trying to find a replacement or extra one to have on standby. Regular double A batteries hasn't worked for me, I've even brought the same voltage battery and still nothing. Great video!
This is a lithium battery. They are sold at photography/film retail shops and Amazon.

Yea nah, Panavision is making a true electronic ND where it uses electric current to change the intensity of the ND, like some office windows. It's gona be atleast 10 times more expensive than the mirage ofcourse haha
