Thank you so much doc.. 15mins ago i was so worried with my BP . Thanks. I am in remission from cancer and my blood pressure is all over the place. I am on medication 10 mg and the Dr rsised it to 20 mg but it is still all ovet the place. Thanks for your video. It has reduced my stress level and I finally understand what is happening to me. Before it was a roller coaster. I dreaded to take my readings at hone because of not knowing what it would be. It is very stressful to say the least. My Dr said not to drive until the higher dosage had a chance to stabilize. Thanks again.

At 84 yrs of age I normally have low blood pressure, and am not on any medication, but I had to visit the Dr. the other day for a very minor procedure and my blood pressure shot up to 224/96. Needless to say the procedure has been postponed and on return home my BP dropped to 123/70. Thank you for your excellent explanation.

My doctor never explain BP like this. I have very low BP in the morning heartrate around 120-140. My doctor just gave me betablocker without looking in to why I have this problem, it came from nothing. Very scary. I have to take more betablocker after 5 months. My doctor "It's nothing wrong with you, calm down".
Oh Dr Gupta thank you kindly because my blood pressure has been all over the place even with more medication and today was the most anxiety I prayed about relaxing and God guided me to your site IM sure when I take my pressure it will be acceptable You are blessed doctor keep up the good work Praise God and praise you

Lovely. I have had high bp for many years and have never worried until recent years bc both my parents are elderly with dad in nursing home & mom at 94 with some issues. The stress has been high since Nov and I just feel so anxious. I'm feeling better and now having discovered you, Dr Gupta I feel much better. Thanks for this video.
Thank you for sharing this - the water bottle vs. balloon example is helpful for me, both in understanding the hypertension/ hypotension dilemma and in explaining BP variations to my cardiac patients as a nurse. Thank you much!
I noticed several times you mentioned the impact of being dehydrated or not hydrated to the point we should be so I'm going to try to drink more water and see if that helps lower my blood pressure. I'm on two medications I have been for a number of years and sometimes my blood pressure seems extremely low like 119 / 54. Of course at other times it can be quite high. I'm 74 years old so it doesn't seem as though it needs to be that low!
Just what I needed to hear, my BP has been so high at times I have been so worried and refused to take my BP anymore as I get so stressed out even thinking of doing it, your explanation of this is so helpful, wish my doctor had explained it to me like that, now I can relax a bit, many many thanks to you, thank god for doctors like you xxx
I have been having a lot of stress lately and last time when I went to my cardiologist, my bp was sky high. He wants to do an angiogram on me. I got home, talked to my daughter and decided against it. Later in the day, after I had time to rest a little, my bp went back to normal. So emailed my doctor to tell him I'll take a pass on the angiogram for now, and told him my bp is fine now, then I asked him when I should go back to see him again. He said 6 months! So I guess he doesn't think my elevated bp is that serious. My daughter also said I should stop taking my bp one after another because the anxiety would increase my bp. I think I need to learn to relax more.
@marylockwood4400 my wife is very laid back,,and has text book BP..Me however I am stressed very easily....I'm on medication for high BP and its slowing going back up,160/100..
(HUG) Excellent video, you have such a nice, calm, caring, demeaner. Have BLOOD PRESSURE ANXIETY, 1. how often should you take your BP? 2. what is the best time to take your BP? 3. how many times a day should you take your BP? Your BP relaxer is beautiful, dogs do bring your blood pressure down, they are so gentle and loving. I hate BP monitors, they scare you. You follow all the recommended things diet, exercise, and try to reduce your anxiety, then you take your BP and your anxiety is back again double.
My bp goes sky high when I go to doctors. I get anxiety and panic attacks. Thank you for sharing this. It eases my mind. Love your doggie. Our 18 yr. old minipoodle just passed away. We miss him so much. We just got a minipoodle mix. We named her Rosie. We miss Remy but Rosie has filled that hole in out heart.❤❤❤
I'm sorry for your loss but it's wonderful that you have found a new doggy friend. Sometimes I fear that losing my 13yr old Jack Russell terrier would finish me off.

Aww sorry about your loss, I have 2 fur buddies also, a little Pomeranian and a wired haired terrier. Also like you my bp goes out of Wack when I go to my MD or anything that has to do with checking my bp
Thanks for that explanation. When I go to hospital or are collected by an ambulance, my BP drops. The reason is that I am stressed and then feel safe when I have medics around.
I love this Doctor. His videos have helped me deal with the fear of my newly diagnosed high blood pressure. I have went to the emergency room a few times because my numbers were high and let go without treatment after letting myself calm down.
This is soooo helpful ! Thank you so much . I worry so much about my blood pressure and heart rates and perhaps even go into a slight panic attacks ! If it was not York but a bit closer I would have come for a consultation long ago !
That was great, thanks so much! I just commented earlier on another video about exactly this so I very much appreciate this information. Thank goodness for the internet and UA-cam so that people like you can help many of us with info we would not get from our GPs. So many videos! Gonna have to find the time to listen to them ... Thanks again for taking the time to do these for us. I think it's very important.
Thanks for sharing your vast knowledge with us. Heart issues are a very traumatic time for most people, it's like telling someone you've got a rattlesnake in your sleeping bag - it's your center of focus all the time. lol. Unfortunately, most medical doctors talk to us on a "clinical" level, i.e. they understand the situation one way and we see it in another - usually in the worst possible light. You talk to us, not at us, and allow us to truly understand what's going on - that's a gift for sure. Keep up your magnificent work, I for one recommend your channel to everyone I know. Thanks again doctor, greetings from the USA, cheers!
I just Love Everything about you !! You are a Lovely Man ! You actually have reduced my anxiety about my fluctuating blood pressure! Thank you Doctor! Love, Dawn xxxxxx

Thanks so much for all you do to educate/ You are a great teacher and take much of the anxiety out of the conditions you discuss. Keep up the good work!
Thank you Doctor. I was freaking out today over high numbers. Now tonight they are great. Regardless, I want to talk to my cardiologist and have an appointment on Monday. Having you explain the ups and downs of pressure readings helped me because I thought I was going to have a stroke, looking at the numbers. I am not diabetic, don't smoke, eat very well yet I am overweight. No sugar, snacks and so on. Great to meet you.
@@vanlifebiker I do not eliminate salt altogether. I just use less. Our bodies need salt for electrolyte balance. There are a lot of salt in other ingredients, like soy sauce etc. After our taste buds adjust, e.g. I cannot eat pizza anymore because I find it too salty for me.
@@marylockwood4400 You're sadly mistaken. Processed is sodium not salt. Big difference & sodium is bad for you. Table salt is bad for you too. Bleached of everything that's good for you. Buy Redmonds Real Salt & quit the processed foods including soy sauce. Ketchup for example is about 50% sugar. Getting healthy isn't easy but knowing how is 50% & unfortunately most are clueless hints why everyone is overweight & heart attacks, strokes, cancer & diabetes etc are constantly rising.
THANK YOU! have wondered about this issue for 20 years when I was first diagnosed with high blood pressure. Nobody has ever taken the time to explain it to me.
Good explanation and especially loved the puppy at the end. My doctor took 4 readings over 2 visits 2 weeks apart and immediately wanted me to start medication, even though my at home readings every day for months were lower (not perfect but lower). She didn't offer a 24 hour monitor or mention any natural way to fix this. She said my machine at home must be broken. I think my recent rise in blood pressure is from back pain from a fall 4 months ago and the continual pain it has caused, but she disregarded that. My back is getting better now and I'll start taking readings in town on other machines. We'll see what happens. I took medication for many years, but I've recently lost a 100 lbs and I don't want to start taking medication again ;)
And CONGRATS on losing 100 lbs! Yes, the back injury could indeed have influenced your BP. Check out MCAS, mast cell activation syndrome. Don't know what other issues you have, but it can develop after any kind of trauma, and it does indeed affect BP. There's a current free webinar on it right now thru Health Means. It has literally changed my life!
Wow Dr! Having watched several of your postings, I’ve learnt more from you than from a lifetime of heart advice from several GPS. Thank You. You are a wonderful Dr.
Thank you, this makes a lot of sense. HBP runs in my family and all of my immediate family died between age 39-57 (except my mom), so I've been worried being 58 and having readings ranging from 73/53 to 168/119. I found out that the super low was when I was really dehydrated (needed 3 litres of IV after getting Campylobacter). The ER told me to take my bp and not take one of my pills if it was too low, so it is stressful.
Jesus Christ is coming soon to rapture He's own! Are you saved? If not, ask for forgivnes and salvation. It's urgent! I plead and pray for your salvation!
Wow that's such a roller coaster. When mine has been high combined with light headedness I end up in ER and I'm dehydrated. Once I was also low on potassium. The 1st time I was in ER they put me on BP med. Then ended up in ER 2 more times that month. Maybe my body was also adjusting to the medication as well as a new eating plan. I'm really trying not to worry and do the right eating plan and go walking everyday.
@@sonyas7422 - I’ve been on a carnivore diet for 7 months now. It has helped a lot. I’m taking magnesium and potassium too. I’m not having extreme lows anymore. It will get high, but I take some supplements and it goes down. Best of luck. Try to stay away from big pharma. Those pills cause so many extra problems. Like kidney and liver failure. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much Dr. Gupta. My mom watches you from Malaysia and you are the only doctor she seems to trust. You explanations are superb and you make it so easy to understand. God bless you!!
During my last visit to my PCP, my BP went from 155/90 , using an electronic BP monitor, upon initial arrival at my doctor’s office, to 128/68 after being in the office for a while and my doctor using a manual stethoscope. Thank you for sharing, now I have a better understanding of variations
Excellent video on high blood pressure. I was concerned about my blood pressure but this video has put me at ease. I LOVED how you brought Bluebell on your video at the end. It is true a pet can be very therapeutic. I dog sit my daughter's two purebred yorkies and they do warm and calm my heart and put me in a good mood. Infact, I am considered their Nanna.

I love this channel. My doctor never explains anything, so I go to this channel to get information about my blood pressure medications. I'm from Canada, and we have assembly line medicine here, so it's in and out as fast as you can and hope for the best
Some years ago I was equipped with an around-the-clock monitor to monitor my BP variations. After which I was told not to worry, it was normal. I am the kind of person who needs to understand how things work, so thank you for explaining it so well..
My BP has been high for decades and no amount of different meds (that I can tolerate) has made a difference. So frustrating and worrisome. Sometimes when I take it, it is sky high. I wait 5 min and take again and most times is usually a lower reading. I always wondered why and worried about it. Thanks for bringing understanding on how the body works. I lost wt. cut out salt, sugar and high carbs. Still no change. Dr and I are at a loss what to do. Saw your video on magnesium taurate so will give that a go as well as green tea and beet juice. I greatly appreciate your videos, I have learned a lot and have had a lot of anxiety reduced because of them. Bless you for your caring of people. Oh, and what a precious doggie!
Thank you soooo much! I took your advice and got the 24 hour monitoring done. It really helped to calm me down about my bp fluctuations. I get really stressed whenever my bp is taken, especially at the doctors office. I am 67, not on medication (vegan, vegetarian my whole adult life) and constantly have to debate/fight doctors about trying to medicate me. The averages from the monitoring was nearly normal, but certainly not as high as I had feared. Since my stress during this time of the pandemic and civil unrest is at an all time high, I was prepared for the worst. But as you've indicated in other videos, lifestyle is a huge factor and the number is less important. Having the monitor's results will literally give me some ammunition against the "medicators"! LOL Thanks again!
As a vegan myself, I am reluctant to use medication, preferring to address underlying problems. My blood pressure is normal during the day, but high at night. The average difference being eg 115/65 during the day, and 140/85 during the night. Our best bet, as vegans, or really for anyone, is to work on keeping the blood vessels stretchy. I think it is the nitrate rich greens, as well as other phytonutrients that can help here, and probably exercise too. I prefer a dietary solution where possible. If all else fails, then medicate, in my opinion.
Thank you so much. Omg I had periods of dizziness for months early this year. Doctor put me through MANY costly tests that I still am paying on, and got put on bp meds yesterday for high bp. I asked why it suddenly went up and he said he had no clue. Again thanks for explaining as well as explaining what the medication does. He never suggested life style changes but I did my own research and now have changed my diet and amount of aerobic exercise!
Thanks for sharing I will be 37 in a couple months and I was diagnosed with hypertension about 7 years ago and I struggled with anxiety so much because of it, for example today at the doctors office during my physical my bP reading was 150/110 but then when I got home and relaxed for about 20 minutes my bP reading was 131/80 so I too was wondering where all the different types of readings were coming from, I experienced a episode of paralysis something like a mini stroke 7 years ago due to being dehydrated and excessive alcohol and energy drinks and I’ve been struggling with depression and anxiety every since then because of it thanks again for the insight and love to all ❤️
Thank you so much. I’ve been stressing about my my bp variations. You’ve explained everything so well . I feel a little better now knowing what’s going on.
This information is so great and useful, I'm dealing with hbp and just started on medication and doing natural things to help it but my anxiety is out of whack and I get reading of all kinds, this was helpful. Ty

Saw your video for the first time..as I'm also suffering from same problem your video helped me a lot to overcome the stress I was feeling because of it.....u r an angel
Wonderful❤ but I still had to go back and rewatch to better understand this... I would just add that the pressure you're speaking about (in the balloon/bottle), is the pressure against/fighting the incoming volume. Hope that makes sense😉
Thank you so much for doing this BP presentation, you are incredibly easy to understand and keep up with. Extremely clear explanation of vessels, branches, capillaries and veins. You are an amazing educator. Thank you very much for your video.
I’ve watched several of your videos. You do a great job explaining cardiology - which is more complex than some other areas of medicine. You explain things clearly and you have a great personality. If I’m looking for info about my heart problems, I want to listen to a cardiologist. Thank you!
Bluebell looks so sweet I can see how she brings your blood pressure down. My two do the same for me at times but can also put it up when the postman calls or its silly half hour time. I think pets are so benificial to our physical, psychological and spiritual health - I wouldnt be without them. Thanks so much for your succinct and easily understood approach to this little understood phenomenon - very helpful.

I was wondering about this and no one has given any explanation. Thank you for your easy to understand video!
Thank you for sharing this - the water bottle vs. balloon example is helpful for me, both in understanding the hypertension/ hypotension dilemma and in explaining BP variations to my cardiac patients as a nurse. Thank you much!
Good morning from Australia Doctor....you are so easy to listen to and easier to look at. Thank you for looking after us!
My doctor needs to watch this.
😂He/she wont be happy to hear that
Just what I needed to hear, my BP has been so high at times I have been so worried and refused to take my BP anymore as I get so stressed out even thinking of doing it, your explanation of this is so helpful, wish my doctor had explained it to me like that, now I can relax a bit, many many thanks to you, thank god for doctors like you xxx
😅
@marylockwood4400 my wife is very laid back,,and has text book BP..Me however I am stressed very easily....I'm on medication for high BP and its slowing going back up,160/100..
a brilliant dr thank you.
Oh, Bluebell is so cute! Thanks so much for this information. Now I understand why I have so many variations in my blood pressure readings!
God leaves an empty void in each human that only he can fill that is why he gave his only begotten son to die for.our sin only he Christ Jesus was worthy to take our place at Calvary, for without the shedding of blood there is no remission for sin!!! God bless and confort you & bring you much joy with your new little dog xxx
Aww sorry about your loss, I have 2 fur buddies also, a little Pomeranian and a wired haired terrier. Also like you my bp goes out of Wack when I go to my MD or anything that has to do with checking my bp
You do too? I have panic attacks too.
This Dr. Is amazing. I'm so thankful for his knowledge. He brings peace to so many!.😊
Thanks for that explanation.
Yes,.. this Doctor is GREAT! And good luck with everything,. You'll be just fine 👌 😊
@@tennaj1367 thank you
@@GodAlwaysWins You're welcome. 😊
I wish i had a dr like this wonderfully calm, intelligent and caring man
This is soooo helpful ! Thank you so much . I worry so much about my blood pressure and heart rates and perhaps even go into a slight panic attacks ! If it was not York but a bit closer I would have come for a consultation long ago !
Me too.
Me too.. from Msia
Thank you once again for your concise and sensible explanations. If I may say so, some GPs need to listen to what you have to say!
I like the way you explain this, easy to understand
Sanjay is the best for making everything so easy to understand!Has he written a book?
He will!
💯
I did research on Amlodipine and it can cause apoptosis thus promoting tumor growth. Is this true?
Doc my dad has high blood pressure which drops to a lower level which can cause him to feel faint. What can he do?
Jesus Christ is coming soon, are you READY!!?
Thank you for this info! You are the antidote to health care's negligence to inform patients with basic information.
I just Love Everything about you !! You are a Lovely Man ! You actually have reduced my anxiety about my fluctuating blood pressure! Thank you Doctor! Love, Dawn xxxxxx
Thanks doctor for this enlightening talk about fluctuations in BP readings in patients diagnosed with high blood pressure.
you're dog is sooooooooo cute....just meeting her reduced my blood pressure. :)
So refreshing and helpful. Its 2024/5and I hope you are still doing tis and calming the minds of so many.
Estheir (78) from lndia.
Hi, Dr Sanjay.Thnx a ton 4 updating me on the right amt of magnesium that's necessary for the body. You've been a blessing to me.l bless you in Yeshua's(Jesus' ) name.
Estheir.
You are genius, please keep on doing this excellent work.
First of all, I love your beautiful Shih Tzu dog...I have had several over my lifetime and they are great babies to share your life with Definitely good medicine too! Lets see more of BlueBell! Thanks so much for all you do to educate/ You are a great teacher and take much of the anxiety out of the conditions you discuss. Keep up the good work!
You said 180/100.
That was the only thing you said that made any sense.
I recall seeing my pressure at 140/90 and feeling panicked.
Love the relationship with the dog. That's awesome.
I'm going through what you just described. Thank you for the information. Knowledge is power, as the saying goes.
Carbs = sugar even fruits & vegetables.
This happens to me too! What did your cardiologist say?
@@marylockwood4400 Quit salt which has very little if anything to do with high BP in my experiences.
Excellent. Your info is reassuring practical & calming which puts things right.
You have put my mind at ease in so many ways. Thank you!
What a lovely young man!! Good job Doc!! thank you
I love all the information wish there were more doctors like you. Thank you 🙏 love your puppy.
You are giving us hope and your approach is carming thank you
Thank you Doc! Anxiety certainly adds to high bp. 🙏🏻
My problem
THANK YOU! have wondered about this issue for 20 years when I was first diagnosed with high blood pressure. Nobody has ever taken the time to explain it to me.
🌈🦋🌻ThankYou Alway!
Happy Spring🦋🌻
Best Cardiologist we have ever spoken too. Thank you for sharing light and truth!
It doesn't sound as if your Dr has your best interests at heart. I personally would look for a better Dr.
Get a new doctor.
Thank you sir very helpful. Watching from Jamaica 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲 God bless🙏
thank you again... one of the best ive seen ever.... so much better than my previous doctor who just fed me medicine.
Mine is doing the same. I’m not on any medication. 164/103 in the mornings and drops as low as 98/58 at night. Sucks. It is stressful.
@@WhenHeComesBack - God loves you. ❤️
Stop watching the Eagles play and your blood pressure will go down.😁
@@Tacoman1967 😂😂
These electronic BP machines aren't calculated right and they put way too much pressure on the artery do the. Manuel BP it's the best one
Those automatic blood pressure cuffs squeeze the crap out of your arm and that alone is stressful
Yer as soon as my it starts going tight my anxiety goes through the roof
Excellent video on high blood pressure. I was concerned about my blood pressure but this video has put me at ease. I LOVED how you brought
Bluebell on your video at the end. It is true a pet can be very therapeutic. I dog sit my daughter's two purebred yorkies and they do warm and calm my heart and put me in a good mood. Infact, I am considered their Nanna.
thanks Dr. sanjay it was very well👌👍 explaind well done, I had such a horrible day today and you really brightend up my day .
ps. blue bell is so cute, and pretty I really wish I could meet her!!🐶
best of luck!!!☺
I love this channel. My doctor never explains anything, so I go to this channel to get information about my blood pressure medications. I'm from Canada, and we have assembly line medicine here, so it's in and out as fast as you can and hope for the best
From a RN in primary care. Thank You!!
Some years ago I was equipped with an around-the-clock monitor to monitor my BP variations. After which I was told not to worry, it was normal. I am the kind of person who needs to understand how things work, so thank you for explaining it so well..
I love Bluebell, she's gorgeous!. Thank you for another great video.
I wish more doctors were like you. Thanks.
Just watching Dr. talk brought my high blood pressure down to normal.
Thanks for sharing I will be 37 in a couple months and I was diagnosed with hypertension about 7 years ago and I struggled with anxiety so much because of it, for example today at the doctors office during my physical my bP reading was 150/110 but then when I got home and relaxed for about 20 minutes my bP reading was 131/80 so I too was wondering where all the different types of readings were coming from, I experienced a episode of paralysis something like a mini stroke 7 years ago due to being dehydrated and excessive alcohol and energy drinks and I’ve been struggling with depression and anxiety every since then because of it thanks again for the insight and love to all ❤️
Damn you sound like me take care of yourself
Thank you so much. I’ve been stressing about my my bp variations. You’ve explained everything so well . I feel a little better now knowing what’s going on.
Jesus Christ is coming soon to rapture the church, do you belong to Him?
This information is so great and useful, I'm dealing with hbp and just started on medication and doing natural things to help it but my anxiety is out of whack and I get reading of all kinds, this was helpful. Ty
Same with me,my anxiety won't just allow me get clear BP readings,,I tried everything but each time I go near the bp machine it goes up ,,I needed prayers to fix me

How very kind ..thank you so much!
Saw your video for the first time..as I'm also suffering from same problem your video helped me a lot to overcome the stress I was feeling because of it.....u r an angel
Brilliant description, answered most of my questions. Many many thanks.
Wonderful❤ but I still had to go back and rewatch to better understand this... I would just add that the pressure you're speaking about (in the balloon/bottle), is the pressure against/fighting the incoming volume. Hope that makes sense😉
thank u - so clearly explained - - good channel & all the best
Extremely interesting video, thank you so much to give some of your precious time to educate us on our hearts!
Nice cute looking friendly dog you got!
Very interesting. The stretchy blood vessel explanation is easy to understand.
